  1. Because I don't care at all about Windseeker I hadn't been following any of this. What actually happened?
  2. If the one Six Flags park you've been to is Six Flags Great Adventure then I can understand why you would be confused by everyone's opinion. SFGAd is a great park and has really improved over the last 15 years. Like you compared it to Cedar Point, I agree with you, I think SFGAd has better rides and is a better family experience (KT loves SFGAd!). BUT... As everyone else has pointed out, you need to get out to some of the other Six Flags parks, and some other parks in the country so you can form a more accurate opinion and understand what we are saying.
  3. Got 10 Donuts in my Mystery Box Today. Was almost bummed not to get some terrible low price item for once!
  4. You went one time and got really lucky. Trust the locals and people who've spent a lot of time there.
  5. Sea World's been having some issues with front gate staff lately too. In fact last weekend for the 'kids' event there were two employees up front having a very inappropriate conversation!
  6. LOL! That didn't take long. I wonder how many issues they must have had! There goes the 'unlimited' aspect of the program!
  7. ^When we met with them I think they actually mentioned a plot where a failing strip mall was, but that empty plot would seem to make more sense.
  8. ^Sometimes, but not as bad as a normal summer day or Halloween Event day.
  9. I think we had a thread somewhere before, but yeah, having iSpeed and Katun in the same park has to be one of if not the best 1-2 combo steel coasters in a single park!
  10. This is exactly why we would NOT do a coaster trip to North Korea. When a volare is your best coaster by far, there's a big problem!
  11. ^Except this was a much more minor incident than Steel Dragon. But yes, in the fact that the Japanese take safety VERY seriously.
  12. ^At least Looney Tunes still has a new show and is on daily on Cartoon Network. I use Kristen as my benchmark for this. She knows the Looney Tunes, she knows 'Snoopy' but none of those other characters, and she doesn't know anything in Toon Lagoon. Her favorite? Nick Universe at Mall of America.
  13. ^Totally agree with you. It's bad enough that all the Cedar Fair parks have Peanuts characters which most children don't know about but these characters are even more out of touch and outdated. Would love to see a big makeover of this area with more current cartoons.
  14. ^The 20 year old Jurassic Park story is still better than anything in Potterverse!!!!
  15. ^There wasn't a good reason as much as bad timing. The La Qua park had three 'accidents' in a short time frame and then the very big earthquake hit. The reason that Thunder Dolphin was closed was because a bolt fell off of it. But that was pretty much the final nail in the coffin for the park at the time...and then the earthquake and power saving started. They tested the ride a bit in April of 2011 but as far as I know it never tested again after that.
  16. ^This sounds more like their answer to New Fantasyland to me. A slow moving dark ride with animatronics and a junior roller coaster themed to a mine!
  17. Love it. Can never get enough of Japan!
  18. ^^I really think Jay saw Valencia, saw all of the great families with tons of money, and thought he could get them to come to SFMM with some kids areas, cleaning up the park, and general improvements. He just didn't understand the real hatred that most of the Santa Clarita Valley has for the park. In all of my Gymboree Classes, Preschool moms, etc. They all had passes for Disney and Legoland and wouldn't go NEAR SFMM because of the parks reputation. It was sad, because Jay did a great job cleaning that park up, but really we know the demographics of the park and Bonnie (with her team) are doing a great job catering to who's coming to the park and bringing in money.
  19. This would get me to go back to Universal again! The timing does make a lot of sense with the new movie for 2014, but I just can't hold my breath. Remember how the 'Jeep Ride' was green lit and going to happen all those years ago!?!?!?
  20. That time of year should be fine for hitting up those parks one day each. If it's crowded, both parks offer a skip the line type system that you can purchase to get even more rides in!
