^I'm up for it! I really enjoy the middle east! Safety in small numbers right? Cheryl and I will rock the burka! -

Thanks for this, very interesting. Although some of those multi-loopers look very Chinese! I know Vekoma has been building in the country but I don't know about any other big companies doing business there. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

^We had a really similar experience as Challenge Golf. KT loves mini-golf and since she's under 48" we went to play as she was getting bored with the kiddie stuff in the park. First we had a surly employee yell at us to go pay somewhere else, then when we came back the course was in really bad shape. KT started skipping holes and didn't even want to do the other course. I feel like the whole Soak City / Challenge Park area is in need of a big remodel. They could turn it into a smaller Citywalk or Downtown Cedar Point and really make it a destination place after the park closes. -

I was thinking the same thing! But then I remembered that trip was like 7 years ago and I probably wouldn't want people posting pix of me 7 years ago and questioning if it was my sister>?!?! -

Aww, do you think they're making the log flume more 'family friendly'? Since it was kind of themed to going to hell before! -

Not to distract the thread further, but yes, you catch that fish in Animal Crossing and yes they can grow VERY large. They're actually the worlds largest 'bony' fish. (Not cartilage like sharks). There are private aquariums that have them, but they are very hard to take care of which is why there are not a lot in captivity. Thanks Yin! -

^^A very weird looking fish. Kristen really likes them and there are probably less than 15 in captivity in the whole world so it's hard to find them! -

Note to self - Never go to China during Chinese New Year! Those crowds are insane! Weird questions, does this park/aquarium happen to have an Ocean Sunfish? -
More horrible cruise news today as a four year old drowns and a six year old is in critical condition from the NCL Breakaway. All of the cruise ship chasing lawyers are yelling that it's the cruises fault and there should be lifeguards. I of course call for personal responsibility. Where were the parents!??! There are plenty of pools that don't have lifeguards...you have to be responsible especially with such young children. Really sad and pathetic.

Russia to build Vekoma GIB in Sochi
SharkTums replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Matt Lauer and The Today Show did a small piece on the park today and it was confirmed that they rushed but it will NOT open for the Olympics. The hotel is rumored to be open and two royal delegations are staying in it but they couldn't confirm it. They also reported that there were problems building the rides and some of the locals that helped build the park don't feel it's safe! Crazy stuff! -

Chance inverters are some of the most painful rides out there. I don't think I've ridden one in close to 10 years because of the pain! Sounds like a great removal for the park! -
^I respectfully disagree.

I actually liked the non-winning Doritos commercial better. Check out the one with the Ostrich! I don't consider the Seinfeld one a true "commercial" but I liked it, didn't love it. Made me feel old as they looked so much older than when the show was on and something just seemed a bit off with it. Did it seem like there were more car commercials than normal? I mean I know there are always a ton, but it just seemed like a LOT.

So far the only one that REALLY sticks out to me is the 80's Radio Shack. Alf must be making a big comeback as we've seen him twice on the TPR Boards this week! Which do you like/hate so far?!

Um, AQUATRAX!?!??! -
^^I don't know a lot about him other than what I've read and what I've read shows and says he looked pretty bad at Sundance. Now of course we all know the media can take bad pictures and selectively edit, but I think they said he had been using drugs since 2012 now. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2550570/Philip-Seymour-Hoffman-46-looked-worn-appearance.html

Yeah, I see this blowing up all over online media and everyone is soooo sad, but once again this was a drug addict and he did it to himself. I'm sad for his family, especially the three young children, but I don't feel much for him.
