  1. ^As you get more into the planning process please feel free to come back and ask more questions. My almost 7 year old is also happy to give you the 'girls' perspective! BTW, she says the decision between Art of Animation and Port Orleans is hard, but she would choose a Nemo themed room at Art of Animation.
  2. New update today for a new episode this weekend! We have a new Japanese girl character!
  3. If you can swing either of those, absolutely do it. I think the girls would enjoy Art of Animation the most, unless they're big into play grounds or water slides then you'll want to go to Port Orleans which has a nice playground and a decent sized water slide. Port Orleans French Quarter is better for kids as it's closer together and has the better amenities than Riverside. I think they also may have some special Tiana themed rooms if you want to check. The quick serve eateries at Art of Animation and Port Orleans are also MUCH better than at Pop Century. Port Orleans is also considered a Moderate Resort which is a step up from Pop and Art and *usually* you'll find slightly better service and clientele.
  4. ^^Yay a park that finally get it! Hopefully this will improve the place. It's possible to have thrill rides and still cater to families.
  5. As long as you eat something that's outsourced at any Six Flags parks you're fine. It's of course going to be overpriced but it's much safer and tasty than any 'normal' Six Flags food. This is not a problem unique to Magic Mountain for once!
  6. One thing I see missing here (unless I overlooked it) is Toy Story Mania at DisneySea. If you care about riding it (basically a clone of the two in the US) that is actually where you need to run first as it's still the 'new hotness' at the resort and gets crazy lines and sells out on FastPass.
  7. Foolish for you, no. Foolish for two young girls...a bit. There's a LOT of walking, and the resorts offer some great amenities. You don't want to pay the premium to stay onsite with Disney and never get to have fun or explore your own resort. I know it's not a big savings (probably what $5 - $10 per ticket?) but that could buy a nice souvenir for the girls. One other thing, have you checked prices yet? I would highly recommend Art of Animation or Port Orleans over Pop Century.
  8. A couple of quick things... I prefer the Thanksgiving time frame for crowds and weather. I also don't think you should buy an 8 or 9 day park hopper as the girls will certainly need some down time at either the resort, downtown Disney, another park, etc. So you can save a few bucks there.
  9. I'm not as dorky as many here, but it looks like perhaps a Superman Clone?
  10. ^LOL! Yeah, I'm sure what they're actually doing is measuring how far the RFID reach is and making sure they can steal your identity while you're on the ride! Mwa Ha Ha!!!
  11. ^I'm sure they're adding a ton of theming to the ride and need to make sure they haven't encroached on any reach envelopes.
  12. ^No, it's exactly what he wrote, that they're the first MODERN looping coasters. The ones you're talking about are not of modern times and very different. No one alive today rode those.
  13. I love the feel of Sapporo, such a cool different vibe Japanese city.
  14. Interested in getting to this park at some point. I really enjoyed the water parks in Dubai so I'm sure this one is just as great!
  15. I had a great high and low this morning. Did my spin and got my final item off the wheel (the homer snowman!) only to have it replaced with another snowman that I guess they didn't see the need to put on my wheel until now! So now I have another actual item to try and get! Grrrr.
  16. ^^Ninja and Psyclone suffered extensive damage from the earthquake.
  17. ^I totally understand. I think it would be overwhelming to try and get into the game now with everything that they have and all the special events and stuff.
  18. ^Oh just wait! You have a long way to go with a lot of really expensive stuff!
  19. ^^&^ LOL! So true! Do we know where exactly in/around Beijing this is going?
  20. ^You're going to be very spoiled for future cruises! My tips would be: - Make sure to eat at Park Cafe. - Take the extra 10 minutes to have a personal pizza made for you at Sorrentos. - Do the zip line on the first day as soon as you get on board (make sure you're wearing closed toed shoes) - Sign all of the waivers online to save time. - If you're going to buy the soda package do it Onboard, not ahead of time as you'll get about 2 hours of extra soda time instead of having to wait to go to your cabin to get your special Freestyle cup. - Do some of the crazy activities. And a lot more!
