No idea. We spent maybe 5 minutes at Gillian's because it has fallen off of a cliff regarding quality (if that's even possible). -

I'm a few weeks late, but chiming in on everything. The lady and I visited on the 17th - Wild Waves is open. Yay, I guess. It sucks. Gale Force is a fun ride with some pretty kickass airtime! However, there's no way in hell I would ever pay $10 to ride it again. It would be perfect for a smaller park that wants something similar to a Sky Rocket II but with more airtime. If I ran into one at a pay-one-price location I'd definitely marathon it. The ride did have one wicked shimmy to it, though, which I found odd. It wasn't rough, just extremely shaky. Kinda gave me a nice butt massage throughout. Whee, beyond-vertical airtime! Whee, twisty airtime! Whee, sunset airtime! -
Robb & Elissa in the USA - 2017!

Not good. Saw that coming a mile away. -
Skywarp comment didn't go unnoticed. Only problem with that is Skyline said they aren't announcing till IAAPA and GAdv already has a super loop and they are the same genre of rides. The Skywarp SF rumor deal made a ton of sense b/c it's a SF type ride till Skyline made their announcement on not telling till IAAPA It's all in word choice, my man. Just because Skyline isn't telling doesn't mean Six Flags won't tell prior to that.

Anyone else seeing what I'm seeing? The large building is most likely the battle attraction, but would that be the Millenium Falcon right next to it? The one with two circle foundations? Seems like we're getting something similar to Mission: Space, especially when you consider the desriptions they've released about the ride so far.

I gotta say, on my visit last year I wasn't expecting much. The Six Flags of Europe is what I was told. Honestly? It turned out to be one of my favorite parks of the trip! Sure, the only truly unique rides are Pulsar and King Tut's Lazer Party, but I had a fantastic day there! These new additions will really help bring this park to the forefront. -
Just curious...have you been to Shanghai to actually ride it? If not, then I think I'll trust the reactions of those who have been there to ride it in person. If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that often times a POV video of a ride just can't do justice to how amazing an experience that ride could be in person. What this guy said. DoubleDown, you can't judge a ride based on a video you watched in a comfy chair. Best example? Journey To The Center Of The Earth. For years I couldn't figure out what was so special about the ride. I had seen the videos and I didn't get it. There was little to no narrative, just a sightseeing ride through caves and glowing stuff. Then I finally got to Japan and rode it. Holy. Flipping. Crap. Now I know what the hype was about. I was shaking at the end and remained that way for quite some time. It blew my mind and I honestly still have no idea why. It's just THAT GOOD.

Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread
KBrylczyk replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ While you're not wrong, it's still sad to see what Disney is capable of with the tech and then not use it to the fullest extent. Personally I've never been on Ratty in Paris (mostly because I have no want to ever return to that hell) and I feel like anything in the World Showcase is an improvement. They could install a Wacky Worm and I'd be happy. I love Epcot but the Showcase for YEARS had next to no pull for children outside of their parents dragging them along. With Frozen and now this things will finally change. -
Something just occured to me about the Star Wars hotel. Since there aren't conventional windows obviously Disney can put whatever they want on the "windows" such as planets, spaceships, etc. They can also update it however and whenever they would like. Now, it may not be for everyone, but I think it would be awesome to suddenly have my room go to red alert lighting and witness a huge battle just "outside" my room! Anyone else?

I'm still not seeing it. Does anyone have any idea about the restrictions between Disney and Uni regarding Marvel character rides? I thought Disney wasn't able to use the Marvel characters on the east coast but the Guardians at Epcot certainly throw that out the window. Really I'm just curious when something's going to happen that would force Uni to remake that whole island. I'm also way out of the loop on this so feel free to mock me.

Some new signs, a character or two. Background music will change. If we're lucky we may even get a new game. -

^ I'll give them two to six months so they can at least scrounge together some underwhelming concept art. -

All excellent news. The ride is awesome as is but could definitely use some TLC. These new "elements" have me intrigued, though, because now I'm envisioning Winjas style surprises. Also, keeping the spiral lift is the best decision.
