  1. Gifts are on their way! My recipient will be getting two separate packages on different days since one of the items is through a private seller on Amazon.
  2. What's funny is the thing that needs the biggest upgrade is actually one of the most modern things in the ride. The Wicked Witch. I can't remember exactly when that animatronic was put in but it's the newest animatronic in the attraction and it breaks (read - explodes) ALL THE TIME! I couldn't tell you how many times she came out of the ground spewing green hydraulic fluid all over the set, my tram, and the guests. Pretty traumatic for the kids seeing this green witch spurting green liquid that looks like her blood all over the place. On second thought, let's leave it alone. That was so awesome when it happened.
  3. Anxiously awaiting all of the psychos to freak out about this like Maelstrom's closing. It'll be fun to watch! I can't lie, though, I'm sad and happy about this. I was a tour guide back in 2009 and love that ride to death. I got blown up or shot at (cowboys or gangsters scene) so many times and each time was awesome. I've got a ton of excellent memories from that ride! I'm super excited that it's getting the upgrades! I'm just sad that, most likely, all of the really cool, old-fashioned stuff will be changed. Like the Alien section that scared the everloving crap out of me every morning or night when I had to do a walkthrough. Yeah, those animatronics don't shut down. Neither do the CO2 bursts. We had to walk through, alone, every morning and night, and I always thought I was going to be eaten in that room. Can't wait to see what they bring!
  4. Lagoon is ready to whoop some ass, it seems. I'll definitely be making the drive up there again this summer!
  5. I know I'm late to the party here, but I just need to say how pants-crappingly terrifying the Polercoaster is going to be. That's all.
  6. Iron Reef will still have working laser guns and effects come August.
  7. ^^ Wow. KoD has been closed forever and they're whining. At least the Maelstrom idiots were losing a ride that was still operational. I can't wait to ride this! Not a whole lot of details about the ride system yet but it seems like this is different from Wonder Mountain's Guardian in that it's a more traditional dark ride style (a la the Sally Corp dark rides) with everyone facing the same direction rather than back to back. I'm sure the vehicles will be on a swivel, though!
  8. Wait, what? Mexico? Huh? Looks cool and all, but Mexico?
  9. What be up in the hizzoose, dudes and dudettes? I'll be happily participating in the holiday fun fun again this year! I'm fairly easy to please. I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who, Marvel, Disney, yadda yadda yadda. In years past I've received Doctor Who items (plush Dalek, salt and pepper shakers, etc) and they've all been AWESOME! I'm hoping for a change this year, though, as my apartment seems to have enough random Doctor Who stuff laying about. Groot and Rocket Raccoon are friggin awesome, Baymax is simply the most lovable Disney character of all time, and Olaf is essentially my spirit animal. Nudge nudge wink wink on all of those. I'm looking forward to helping share the fun and awesomeness of the gift exchange again this year!
  10. 1. How do you most often watch videos? (DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital Download, Streaming.) Streaming. 2. What streaming services do you use the most? Netflix. I have an Amazon Prime account but I have never once used their streaming service. I only use it for the free 2-day shipping. 3. How many DVDs or Blu-Rays do you buy a year on average? Next to none. My Blu-Ray collection is miniscule after the dawn of streaming. Before streaming I had a massive DVD library (still do, sitting in my parents' house) but now I find physical copies of movies just take up space. 4. Do you use a device like Apple TV, Roku, or Chromecast? I have a SmartTV so it's mostly unneccesary, but I o have a Chromecast for when I want to stream YouTube and files on my computer. 5. How much do you watch videos on YouTube versus all the mediums listed in the poll? I can't come up with a good answer. I'm not an avid YouTuber by any means, as in I don't visit the site to watch videos all the time. Mostly I see videos through Reddit. I'l check YouTube once in a while for new videos from TPR but nothing else.
  11. It's more than likely going to be Wonder Mountain's Guardian with a new theme and will be tweaked a bit to make it more engaging. The two largest complaints I heard for WMG was that the coaster section was a joke and that one half of the ride got shafted on the whole "world's longest screen." They seemed to throw together the ride to claim two titles (longest screen, combo coaster and dark ride) and just really half-ass it. Hopefully Knott's will give it a longer coaster section and the screens used won't be different. Also, that's only if they still use back to back cars. They might change it so everyone is facing the same way. In any case, I'll definitely be there a bunch and will ride it with a huge grin on my face!
  12. Photo dump time! Had an excellent visit to SeaWorld last Wednesday! The animals were all very active and there's a brand spankin' new baby sea otter! Seriously the cutest damn thing I've ever seen! Unfortunately photos through glass don't come out too well so I only got a picture of the sign. There were a few new landscaping touches here and there, including some cool new rock art under part of Manta (there's a picture of it). They were in the middle of setting the park up for the Christmas Celebration that begins on the 15th so there were decorations all over the place, just not turned on. Awesome day! The new entrance is gorgeous. Explorer's Reef is a huge hit with guests! Whale! OMG super cute baby otter! One of the best! The fatty seat. My kinda lines! New rock art underneath Manta. Puffer fish always look stoned. Snow World was being put together. The employees were testing out the snowball fight ability of the snow. Science-y stuff. The starfish are a nice touch.
  13. ^ I'm hoping to make this a trend. We've got the original and now mine, I want to make more on every log flume I come across that will allow me to film! We need everyone here to make Log Flume Song videos!
  14. I used my Samsung Galaxy Note II. Nothing special. It's the best way to have fun!
  15. We all know about and have seen Robb's original Log Flume Song video - We've all been touched by it. We've certainly all been effected by it. Some for better, some (the boring people) for worse. Whatever you want to say about it, it's original and awesome. There have even been some variations! [vine] [/vine] Then came the homage. This would be me, just over a month ago, during Knott's Scary Farm, messing around on Timber Mountain - [vine]https://vine.co/v/OmFlpmm3wPe[/vine] Which brings us to tonight. Well, earlier today, really. I was spending a FANTASTIC day at Knott's with the super awesome girl in my life and talked her into going along with it. Yes, a full length Log Flume Song on the Timber Mountain Log Ride. You're welcome.
  16. ^ I thought Moonsailt Scramble was considered by mostly everyone to be one of the best coasters out there. I remember there being a big thing when Fuji-Q announced they were destroying it.
  17. Hell no. Walking Dead for the fourth year in a row! /s If they do Walking Dead again next year at either Orlando or Hollywood I'm almost certain there will be riots. Like I said in my TR from Hollywood, during the hype announcement at the beginning of the evening there were crickets at every mention of Walking Dead. The crowds wanted nothing to do with it anymore.
  18. Holy crap, what year is it?! That's one hell of a necro bump, Robb, haha! Unfortunately it served to remind me just how disgusting the birthday cake castle was. Ugh. Will they be doing something similar for the Diamond celebration in 2015? I know DLR is on a full force, pedal to the metal, make this place look spotless and gorgeous drive at the moment.
  19. Huh. Looks like Disney is now on a super early announcement kick. Marvel announced movies for 2017 through 2019 the other day, now Disney is announcing park renovations and attractions over two years in advance of construction beginning. I'm not complaining, though! This is going to be incredible!
  20. I thought this same concept had already been designed and built somewhere about two years ago. Am I wrong?
  21. ^ You're so right with a ride of that scale fitting in perfectly! Bring it on!
