  1. They look like brakes for a slanted final brake run. I could be wrong, but it looks like it has that hill, then turns around and returns to the station.
  2. ^That's weird. I wonder if it is an end of season thing and they won't do any other shows tomorrow either. I was at the park the saturday before labor day weekend, and lots of stuff was closed and broken, the music on Iron Horse was broken all day, the music was broken on 2/4 cars on Round About, and Time Machine's was a little sketchy at times. They also canceled the fireworks that night.
  3. I'm having the same problem as Pufferfish. It is telling me that I'm missing DUKES002 also.
  4. I thought that the actual ride was exactly the same, but the queues were different. I could be wrong though.
  5. I had a roller coaster cake for my 9th birthday. We ordered a white cake from the grocery store and had them frost crossed supports (like a wooden coaster) and a curved line over the top. They frosted 3 red squares on top of the line for cars, and put heads sticking out in yellow frosting. You could peobably even make a cake like that yourself.
  6. I would recommend doing Time Machine first (80's is the best) then go to Soak'd. Make sure to do Soak'd early if you plan on riding it as it's lines will most likely be 30mins-an hour later in the day. After that, the order doesn't really matter. Hang Ten will most likely be a walk-on all day, and Round About and Iron Horse will probably have about 15 minute waits. Time Machine will probably range from about a 15 minute wait to over an hour depending on how many trains they have on the ride, the time of day, and the crowd level. I have seen Time Machine with a 2 hour wait with 1 train, I have seen it walk-on with 1 train, I have seen it with a 30 minute wait with 2 trains. It all just depends. Make sure that you see the Cool Country Ice Skating Show and the Adrenaline Rush Skateboarding Show. The fireworks show is by far the best fireworks display I have seen, but I don't think they are doing it anymore. I'm not sure though.
  7. I am working on a RCT2 recreation of this park startind in the back corner with Thunder Run. I found a picture of Thunder Run's station, but does anyone have a picture of Thunder Run's queue, or can they describe it to me? Thanks.
  8. I wonder how long it's going to be before they start ripping it apart. They said they closed it before the end of the season because of their time table for demolition, so we'll probably see track coming down pretty soon.
  9. They completely changed the set for the Sea Lion show since I was last there in 2005. What was the "official" name for the Shamu show?
  10. Isn't Six Flags Islands of Adventure kind of an oxymoron? lol Anyway, great park!
  11. I used to live in San Antonio, so I have a soft spot for those parks. Steel Eel was my first real major steel coaster and Great White was my first upside-down coaster. That all happened when I was in 4th grade, and we decided to move up to Six Flags. Great TR! It's always nice to see pictures of my old home park.
  12. ^I didn't think Mr. Freeze was that bad because of the use of switchbacks so you don't have to walk through it all. While Boss's queue was really long, I thought it was cool walking so close alongside the finale of the ride with trains shooting by. I think Poltergeist at SFFT, Roadrunner Express's at SFFT's old queue, Revenge of the Mummy at USF (even though it probably fills up pretty frequently), Dueling Dragons' queue (the queue is enough, but they added switchbacks too?), and Chang at SFKK. I would mention several of the queues at SFOG, but I have seen all of their queues full and spilling onto the midway (yes, even Batman, through all the switchbacks).
  13. If that thing is full and spilling into the park part of the queue, you should just leave! There is no way that is only 120 mins if the warehouse and city park is full like the sign says. Probably no less than 3 hrs.
  14. -As I said before, they have tons of empty space in Northwest Territory to expand the water park. -Do they need more picnic pavillions? You just said SFKK is a small park with low attendance, so why would they build more picnic pavillions? -So you want them to remove Chang because that makes it more likely for ANOTHER coaster to be removed? -If you say so... -1 coaster isn't going to make the park much more managable. If anything, it's going to make the attendance even lower. -REMOVING A PARK'S SIGNATURE COASTER DOES NOT MAKE IT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!! Remember, there is more to a family than the little kids. Families are looking for things they can do together, and that includes having the teens entertained for the day. If there is nothing for the teens to do, it makes the park less family friendly. Contrary to Shapiro's opinions, building 4 kids areas DOES NOT make a park family friendly. I'm sorry, but that was an incredibly dumb post.
  15. Deal with the waiting like everyone else! It sounds like CP and KI are near you, and you just want to not have to wait in lines.
  16. Well it would suck for our SFKK fansite, SFKK Online if they made SFKK just a water park. Why don't they get rid of Thunder Run, then you get rid of a minor coaster, then you have unrestricted access to the huge plot of land at Northwest Territory.
  17. When queues start going out of the queue area (into the midway), does anyone else ever move the chains themselves and start walking through the switchbacks? I used to do it, but someone got annoyed, so I don't do it anymore.
  18. If all you get is one ride on El Toro, it will be worth it.
  19. Well if you sell parks, you are risking someone like Cedar Fair coming in and closing the park to eliminate competition (Guega Lake or however it's spelled) If Cedar Fair could get their hands on SFKK, SFA, or SFStL cheap, they would more than likely be a repeat to eliminate competition from King's Island, King's Dominion, and Worlds of Fun, which is not what you want.
