    X's Restraints

And as long as you hold on. I found not holding on tended to toss you around like a rag doll.
  2. Carnage

    X's Restraints

Floorless rides go over vertical if you count inversions. The only odd thing I felt about X was that it kind of forces your legs out to the side unlike on a floorless, etc where your legs face straight. But it's very secure feeling.
  3. If you go into a camera store they should have a number of batteries with varying lenght and cost. Having at least a couple batteries is pretty much required. I've got the stock battery(2 hours I think) and a 5 hour battery. I can totally use up both batteries in a day at a park. The battery probably won't last as long as it says it does in real world situations I find. Well it does, but if it says 2 hours, that's not 2 hours worth of footage. Viewing video, time spent with it on but not filming, etc will drain the battery while you're not filming.
  4. Looks awesome. I so want to get back down to BB this summer. Not sure if it will work out though due to the distance.
  5. That's just disgusting. How could they live like that?
  6. I managed to find the hospital report from when they fixed my collar bone. It's all in doctor speak. I pretty much had to have someone explain to me what most of it meant. I scanned it if any of you health buffs or doctors in training are interested. (sorry about the quality though, it's about 8 years old and printed on some kind of tissue paper). Link
  7. I didn't make it by chapter 1. Didn't laugh once. I even like watching stupid funny movies on the internet. But this one just had no point. Whoever made it was the one that bought the papers.
  8. 1. Broke my leg when I was 2 jumping off a toybox. Though I did dislocate my collarbone when I was 17(tucked it behind my sternum), as well as a sprained wrist. Though I'm lucky I haven't broken more bones. I'm lucky that I have a large pain tolerance.
  9. Personally I find attractions of this size and hype will always turn out to be dissapointments purely due to the amount of publicity they get. I'm almost always impressed more by rides that I never hear about compared to the blockbuster rides that I read every tiny detail about.
  10. ^ Overhyped definetly. But still a decent ride. Though in PCWs case it's a success just because it's so much better then what they had gotten recently.
  11. Personally I think the front seat is a waste of time. Cool view, however it totally kills the ride. And the best part of the ride is the drop. Sitting in the back is where it's at, where you get the whiplash coming over the top of the drop. Everytime I ride I take the farthest back seast that I can grab.
  12. I didn't think IT:ST was that bad. Not a super intense coaster, but it was fun. And Kings Island already has IT:ST, it was built at the same time as PCW. PKD I beleive is the park that is currently building the 3rd one. Hopefully if PCW is sold seperatly it'll stop being a cash cow for the Paramount chain. PCW is only slightly behing PKI in attendance, and yet it has gotten little attention of the years.
  13. ^ Not all that much younger than 14.
  14. Bring the pain!! I really like both rides. They both produce different types of rides. But it's really up to you to decide which you like and why. I have a very high pain tolerance, so Magnum to me isn't too bad. I almost like it better when it's rough. If it doesn't beat you up a bit, then it's probably running slow. If you're feeling daring ride 1-3 on Magnum(first car, 3rd seat). It's nicknamed the ejector seat(and for good reason). Just be warned that seat can be pretty painful sometimes.
  15. ^ We've got a hill used for sledding in my town that used to be a landfill. It's called Mt. Trashmore.
  16. This past summer at PCW every visit I had waits were about an hour. Waits at PCW don't tend to be terrible, but they are rarely short. PCW is one of the highest attendance seasonal parks. Partly due to being next to a huge population base with no competition. Everyone else covered quite alot. One thing I will add though is doing a full day at Dorney would be worthwile for the waterpark alone. The rideside at Dorney is pretty average. However the waterpark is amazing. They've got these double person tube slides where you hit the pool at such a high speed that you don't have a chance of staying upright.
  17. Any reason why? I didn't think it was going to be all that special, but I ended up having alot of fun at IB. GL you might get bored at. Should be able to do the entire park in a couple hours. And the only ride really worth reriding there is Dominator(formally Batman). Villian is good as long as you can stand the G-trains. They did have a wicked topspin, though I hear Cedar Fair castrated it. Seems CF doesn't really like their topsins to flip.
  18. ^ Some of the smaller parks can be alot of fun, but don't get as much attention. Indiana Beach, Wisconsin Dells, Lake Compounce,Knoebels, Silver Dollar City, Kennywood were all parks that really surprised me. (though Kennywood/SDC are a bit more well known then the others). I'm sure others will have more to suggest. There are alot of parks in this area that are worth visiting.
  19. Are those the only parks you're vistiting? Or just the one's you don't know much about? Geauga Lake is far out of the way of the rest, and isn't really all that good. Michigan's Adventure I'd suggest you pass on. It was such a boring park. Shivering Timbers was very overrated. You'd be much better adding in Wisconsin Dells and SFGam.
  20. ^ A mere techicality. It still can beat the living hell out of you. Especially if you're in an outside seat.
  21. ^ Are you kidding? SFI forcing arrow to go big is what caused the project to cost so much more than expected, not to mention the maintenance problems that they had. Building big pretty was pretty much the main cause that made Arrow go bankrupt. They could have built a modest sized one, worked out the kinks, and then gone bigger. The novelty of the size of X wears off after it starts to smash your head between the restraints.
  22. Hehe, if I'm going to do it I may as well go all out. But I do have the ability to socialize with normal people. I might be a geek, but I can turn it off. So I'm not a total write off.
  23. ^ ERT at coastermania isn't true ERT. The event is so popular that thousands of people are there for the ERT. Plus having it in June means longer lines during the day.
  24. ^^ I've got the coffee mug with the caffein molecule on it. Does that make me a geek?
  25. I really wish they would move the event back to September. It was so much better in September. Plus having the MF/Dragster ERT in the morning sucks. MF is definetly a night ride, and TTD needs time to warm up before it can run consistently. I'll pass again this year. (though it's not like I'd be able to anyways what with the UK trip shortly after).
