Midwest Conquest Videos
Carnage replied to Carnage's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Yeah, that was pretty funny. I could probably make a full video just out of the clips that didn't make it into the videos. Most of it would involve conversations with Dave, and would be PG-13. -
Midwest Conquest Videos
Carnage replied to Carnage's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, now that I think about it I didn't have any footage of that flume. I rode it however, and got totally drenched. (our ride is in Jonathan's video). Some of my videos I was limited to how much footage I had time to get(while still trying to get everything done). The Indiana Beach video shows this, as we were having so much fun I just didn't have time to do much filming. -
So after getting lapped by John and Jonathan, I finally hacked my way through all my MWC videos. I've got the first few of them posted, and will post the rest over the coming days. Up first is: Libertyland Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Holiday World Paramount Kings Island Still to come: Indiana Beach Michigans Adventure Six Flags Great America Wisconsin Dells Six Flags St. Louis Silver Dollar City/Celebration City Link

Another Coaster Credit Question
Carnage replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
All depends on if you want to count it again or not. There's no law to credits. Just count them however you want to. -
258 megs for what? Are you sure that didn't mean hard drive space? In which you should have plenty. Windows takes up alot more space then 128 megs, so obviously that's not your problem. CAn't mean 256 megs of ram, as WinXP wouldn't run on 128 megs or ram(without being slow as hell). I'm thinking you misunderstood the requirements. Just try installing it and running it. Edit: I checked the requirements for the game. It's 256 megs of ram. If you really only have 128 megs or ram, go buy more ram. There's nothing you can do to get more without buying more. And if you are trying to run WinXP on 128 megs then you should be buying more ram regardless.

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?
Carnage replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
Bah, winter's already here. I had to work in Niagra Falls, New York today. (I live in Ontario, Canada). Took me two hours to get there in the morning. Took me 3.5 hours coming home due to the giant ice, sleet, rain, and snow storm that came through. Though at least my work gave me a rental car and paid for my gas. -
What would rides be like on the moon?
Carnage replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ But there really wouldn't be any ejector air time. There would be no "take your stomach" out feeling, no intense postive G's,etc. I really don't think it would be anything that exciting. -

Carnage replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Rides on the moon would be boring as hell. Without a decent amount of gravity the forces would be almost non existent. A kiddy coaster on earth could probably produce more of a thrill then a moon coaster. Well, except for the view. -
Best Songs for Coaster Videos
Carnage replied to TheKid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I used Hysteria for a Dorney park video, and New Born for a SFGadv video. I typically use whatever my favourite songs are at the time I make the video. Though that's only if I can't think of an apropriate themed song to go with the video. -
Coaster rules that dont make sense
Carnage replied to waterviper's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's actually Cyclops that has that rule not Hades. And it's for good reason. The ride has buzzbars(single postion lap bars), and has such violent ejector air on the last drop that a 10 year old would probably be at serious risk of being ejected. Honestly, I'm 6"4 and that ride scared the life out of me. It's no joke that it feels like you're going to get ripped clean out of the car. Even holding on makes no difference. -
Coaster rules that dont make sense
Carnage replied to waterviper's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ Thunderbolt at Kennywood being the best example. Though it's in it's case there's no single riders period. They sometimes end up offering people double rides who will break up from their group to ride with the single rider. It seems odd until you go through one of those flat turns and totally get bent over the side of the car, with the other guy crushing you into it. I can just imagine how much one of those turns would hurt if you were sitting on the right hand side alone. Probably crack a rib you'd come across that seat so far. -
No offense(or maybe a compliment depending on how the split went) but your ex looks kind of mean in that picture.

Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread
Carnage replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just had a really, really bad expereince there. I found the park atmosphere to be terrible, rude/incompetent employees, rude park guests, the rain storm didn't help, etc. Other then Freeze(which I liked) it was a waste of a day. -

Forget Denny's. Find an In-N-Out burger. -
Advice Needed: LAX - Magic Mountain on Dec 17th
Carnage replied to Manaka's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You might be able to get a shuttle to your airport close to SFMM. I think I took one called Supershuttle from LAX to my hotel near Knotts last year. It was like $20 or something. I'm sure they could get you to your hotel near SFMM for a decent price. (or your hotel might even have a shuttle). Edit: I did a quick price estimate on supershuttles website. For 2 people from LAX to SFMM would be $60. Might be able to find something cheaper, but at the very least it's not too bad. -
Carnival Accidend in Miami
Carnage replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
At least it wasn't Conklin this time. Or was it? The article doesn't mention who was running the fair. You take your life in your hands going to those carnivals. -
Balder, Thunderhead 1-2 in Mitch's Poll
Carnage replied to cgodsey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Shivering Timbers I didn't really get either. From what I understand it's a shadow of it's former self. I found it pretty much boring(along with all of MIA). While riding it I kept thinking "where's all the airtime people talk about". I practically had to "Fake" the air time by trying to push myself up over the hills. -
Donna Does Canobie DVD
Carnage replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
*shudder* Most disturbing coaster enthusiest photo ever. -
^ The park was packed actually last year. lots of school groups. ERT was great, but once the park opened the lines got pretty bad. Though the year before was the oposite, the park was fairly empty. So it's pretty much a crap shoot as far as I can tell.

^ *shudder* it's those types I can't stand. I did however today heard "grama got run over by a raindeer". That one is funny in a cheery disturbing way.

Chance Inverters and Huss Top Spins
Carnage replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't know if Cedar Fair has broken the one at Geague Lake or not. But when I was there when it was SFWoA their top spin was running in insane mode. It'd run all 3 programs back to back, one of them even produced well over 10 flips in a row if the ride was full of people. Best run top spin I've ever been on hands down. Dorneys was pathetic. It didn't flip once.
