  1. Hershey is better, since it isn't a giant concrete block. All of their coasters are at least good; trailblazer is alright since you can walk on all of the time. Their water park is terribly small and has lines that go on forever. Don't even think about going on roller soaker, you will have wasted a 5th of your time in the park in that line. Dorney is meh.
  2. Any carnival ride. Not the actual ride, the carnies operating them.
  3. I remember the first time I've been to SFGAdv. We were looking for an employee that could direct us to ride X (Not the 4D coater in MM). They were like "Uh, that ride isn't here." In fact, ride X WAS there, but we just couldn't find it. On the other hand, at Hershey, the employees seem to know the place like it's their house.
  4. Never. I still have many roller coasters to ride!
  5. ^If they went over the time the crowd would start complaining. Complaining people are not fun to be around. The ride Ops probably know that. Most, if not all of us, know that too.
  6. For all of you Hersheypark goers, including myself, you know that Hershey renovated their park for three consecutive years. Will they keep going with this to make it four years? Come up with some ideas and post 'em here.
  7. The Tidal Force/Fahrenheit picture is sweet. I tried to get that shot in August, but the picture ended up more like a tiny bit of water in the corner. The song that picture Andy Samberg is in is sick but awesome.
  8. A true wooden roller coaster, not a hybrid, can not be a hyper because the tracks are rectangular and not round. My example of SOB is not a good one because it is a hybrid.
  9. Hypers can't be wooden. Not to me at least. SOB is wood, right?
  10. Dominator sounds pretty cool. So does Magnum. Just because it is named after a gun.
  11. Now that's a peculiar figure to throw out there... what else do you know? Well, I know that B&M have some mysterious yellow track at their plant in Ohio, and some mystery supports have shown up at King's Dominion. Now, I doubt that KD would be getting a B&M coaster, but you never know!? B&M are up to something... The mounting brackets aren't the same shape. The ones on the tracks are square. The ones on the supports are circular.
  12. Six Flags. A few points are: A) They are placed right in populated places. B) The rides are great, you have to consider how many different designs of roller coasters they have. C) My Six Flags has GAdv, Huricane Harbor (good for very hot days), and that safari thing (haven't gone there yet, I'm riding roller coasters when I'm there.)
  13. That sounds about right. B&M always plays it safe. They just do that to protect from lawsuits.
  14. So what in your words defines a 4D coaster? You're probably just technically speaking, in which case, what point exactly are you trying to get at? 4D coaster - Coaster where cars "spin" freely on an axis. Suspended Coaster - Coaster where cars "swing" freely from a pivot point. That about fits my description. Any motion influenced by the passenger can tag it as 4D. If it spins on an axis, swings, or anything along those lines separates it from 3D to 4D.
  15. Hmm. I did not know that. I read something like "Your not allowed to slurp soup on Sunday in Florida" but it also said "Extreme mountain unicycling is a real sport"
  16. Even so, my point is X isn't the only physically 4D coaster.
  17. Well I was just thinking. I didn't think about what types, just that X isn't the only 4D. It is the only of its kind, but not physically the only 4D.
  18. Sounds a little shady. Could be legit. I guess we won't know until someone does it.
  19. Chick-fil-A aside, I know of none of these "Blue Laws" here in New Jersey.
  20. Even though you are correct, because your own center of gravity, weight, height, and all of that would affect the Gs and airtime. But just basically speaking of just the roller coaster's own physics, I interpret it as 4D.
  21. For those of you who have ever visited SFMM, post-2002, you probably remember X or X2, right? For those of you who have not yet gone to SFMM, you still may have gone on a 4th Dimension roller coaster. Arrow created the suspended roller coaster. As you probably know, Arrow's suspended roller coaster swings. The swinging motion made by the cars seems to be the fourth dimension. It is a variable. The combined weight of the passengers determines the number of degrees the car swings and how fast it returns to the normal state of just hanging down. Who agrees, who disagrees?
  22. Randomization? An extra variable? But it would still be 4D wouldn't it? It takes away a variable from the current 4D, but adds the randomization/possibility.
