So, Gemini came after Twisted Twins?? -Tatum Gemini is a racing coaster, not a dueling coaster. It does look like the park is shaping up, it takes a while to fix up a park that was, well ignored by management. -
The Legacy of Summers/Dinn
Wild 1 replied to Movieguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ The Georgia Cyclone is not that bad, it is rough but still provides great airtime and it sure as heck did not age as badly as it's brother Psyclone. Wild One was rebuilt by Dinn/Summers but I don't think that counts and it is mostly the big Dinn/Summers coasters that aged badly, most of them were just ahead of their time. -

Sounds like you had a nice trip! Is it just my bad luck or is something wrong with Trailblazers second train? Every visit since October it has only been running one train and it is the same one on the transfers collecting dust. Just wondering Oh one question, is it just me or does Fehrenheit have more rattle this year then last? Those are some really nice photos and the Seaqual looks nice, I still wish they did not take out CRR but it seems like people like it. -
Yeah I was there on June 1st too. We were the people wearing the white and teal T-shirts. So that is why only Thunder was running, thanks for the info! Sounds like you had a good time.

How many times the same ride in a day ?
Wild 1 replied to mingsai's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Lightning Racer 15 times total, I just would get off and get back in line for it! 8 or 9 on Thunder and about 6 or 7 on Lightning. -

Wild 1 replied to Ibztone's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was at Hershey today and all the coasters and all the rides were running, however much of the waterpark was closed and something happened that I thought would never happen.... They were only running one side of Lightning Racer!! Thunder was the open one. I wonder why that happened? Also Storm Runner is open and running however it was down quite a bit around lunchtime. -

Hersheypark and Dorney info please!!!!

It is supposed to be closed for a while, the park says it will open this weekend but a park employee on Lightning Racer said it will open in two weeks. -
What are your TOP TEN COASTERS
Wild 1 replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really need to get on more coasters! Well hopefully this summer I will get quite a few more credits! 1: El Toro 2: Nitro 3: Wild One 4: Great American Scream Machine (SFGAV) Not sure why I like this one... But I do 5: SROS (SFA) 6: Lightning Racer 7: Great White 8: Wildcat 9: Batman the ride 10: Comet Yeah, I need to get on more coasters... -
Hersheypark and Dorney info please!!!!
Wild 1 replied to coastergirl26's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hershey is a nice park and is very clean but however as many have said the crowds can get kinda big, however they do their best to run the coasters with all the trains. The employees are ok, not rude or anything but nothing really stands out about them. The food at hershey is amusement park food, not that cheap but not as expensive as Six Flags and it can be good. You do have to worry about school trips because I know my school is going that day (and so am I) and I am sure there will be more going that day and if Storm Runner is not open Fehrenheit could have quite long lines and with only three trains it could have a 30 minute wait but that is in the worst case. You will mostly have 5-10 minute lines so hope you have a good trip! -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
Wild 1 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love waterparks and all but taking out CRR for a wave pool was a bit annoying. To me Wave Pools are just boring and the same goes for a lazy river unless it is one of those fast ones. CRR was one of the best rapids rides I have been on and mostly for if you went on it you were going to get soaked. Well I am going there in two weeks so I will see how it stacks up to CRR then, just my 2 cents. -
It's on Wild 1! Just don't wuss out and use your finished parks. Also, why the negativity towards hacks and CS? Hacks and CS make parks better when used right. Prove that last statement wrong any way you can. Also, just have no penalty for hacking/CS. Did good parks ever get shot down for being too good? No I'm making a whole new park just for this! I have a feeling that this is going to be a great contest.

Hersheypark Springtime in the Park
Wild 1 replied to Jman0477's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well I am worried that Storm Runner will not be open only because it would ease some of the crowds for Fehrenheit, I really do not want to wait in a line over an hour long. Also is it true that they are not useing the trim on Comet anymore? If so I must ride it just to see how it runs without it. -

Wild 1 replied to Jman0477's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah at SFGAV we were always bothered with line jumpers so we just blocked their way. This is the school that in the lunch line there is so much line cutting that you may be a the front on sec and in the back the next! I am afraid what is going to happen in the line for Fehrenheit! -

I was talking to scooterdoug sorry for the confusion. I was just warning him that 200, 14 yearolds might make for more linejumping the usual and general breaking of the rules. I would not do that but some kids in my school..... -

Watch out on June first because my school is going there so the crowds might be a little bigger on that day due to it. -
SFGAdv or Cedar Point
Wild 1 replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That hasn't been the case last season or this season. I timed it and Nitro was dispatching trains around every 80 seconds. The line was into the switchbacks past the 90 minute sign 2 weeks ago. I know the signs overestimate the wait times but it was a 25 minute wait with all 3 trains running. I was at SFGAdv twice last year, and both times, dispatches on Nitro and el Toro were ver slow. I was in line at the 30 minute marker, and it took over an hour. The second visit we left after 4 hours because we only got 2 rides. Other than walking from el Toro to KK, with a pit-stop, the rest of the time was spent standing inline! I was there two weeks ago and Nitro was dispatching every 70 seconds or so however El Toro was around every 3 minutes. All the other rides other then Rolling Thunder and Superman had really fast dispatchs around 60-80 seconds. -
It was the Runaway Mine Train a Six Flags Great Adventure. I did not want it to be my first coaster of the year but I had to get my friend to ride a coaster somehow! He went on everything in the park after that (Not Kingda Ka the line was 2 hours long mostly because they were still training the Ride Operators )

Well I was a little annoyed when I discovered this last month when I was getting my tickets to SFGAV. But then I realized that if you are a member of AAA they will not only give you an extra $10 off (Thats $20 total including the price off from printing online) you do not have to pay the $5 fee! But you have to bring photo ID to get into the park so they know it was you who bought the tickets. Still its nice.

Well I guess I must go up there sometime, it seems like a nice small park and though I love the old Arrow Mega Loopers those trains on Drachen Fire look painful. Thanks for the Info! -
SFNO/Jazzland Discussion Thread
Wild 1 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wish New Orleans will just get over the fact that SFNO will never open again. What are they supposed to do with it? Oh what did they take out that was in the park already?
