The Official TPR 2010 Europe Trip Thread
GeorgeT replied to atem122's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I didn`t ride that one yet, but from the looks I also thought the ride/layout is a bit "flat". So maybe that thing totally shows the potential of that kind of coaster type...while not having the "perfect" layout with more ups and downs...just my estimation, like Elissas. George "voting ISpeed for being the weirdest flat ride ever" T. -

That means you`ve been on at least 5 DIFFERENT (!) rollercoasters already ??? DAMN...you`re experienced, just wow !!! No, wait...I got it : It was nearly in your top five coaster rides, while your top three were probably all on the same coaster...something like that, right ??? George "who also found Europa to be a good park until he went somewhere else" T. -

So no wonder that coaster is shaking and rattling sometimes... George "shaking and rattling like crazy being tickled, too" T. -

Those pictures show clearly how fu@@ing intense the ride is. I`ll totally have to go there soon... -
Ouooooooh...Disney is SO (!) far ahead of everything else...I didn`t know that... And Cedar Point(less) not being in the top 26 Parks worldwide is a surprise for me, too. This thread is EXTREMELY interesting...THANKS !

Sorry for the bad english ! ... must be your name, right ??? Now, seriously, you english is fine...and THANK YOU for the effort/informations and stuff... Well...I`m totally looking forward to this...the park looks promising, especially theming-wise...but after watching the simulation of the launch coaster, my impression is : This thing will feel way too short. A VERY nice start/layout...but then it`s over quite fast. A littlebit more track would have been great, I guess...maybe NECESSARY to make this a VERY good coaster...but we`ll see... But anyway...the whole project looks very good to me. Greeds...GeorgeT EDIT : Sorry for the bad english... -
NEW 2011 - X-Car Bayern Park Germany
GeorgeT replied to Tezee's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So...a little update on this one : -- The track lengh of this "cute" launch coaster will be 483 meters. -- The only straight piece of track will be the final brakes/station -- It will offer more upside-down elements per meter than any other coaster in the world...at least 6 times ! -- It will provide (first element after the launch) an inverted Tophat, a heartlineroll, a loop and a halfpipe. All informations were released on the parks consruction side. The whole layout will be released on September 12. A nice "side effect" of this addition will be the fact that Bayern Park is quite close to Munich...which makes it a nice side trip for those visiting Oktoberfest... Greeds...GeorgeT. -
I think it`s hard NOT to dream about something like this to be realized... If Robb says how awesome even ISpeed is though it`s MUCH lower than that...oh well, that would have been a winner...not only in my book... Is someone here able to take a realistic guess how expensive it would be to build it roughly like that...and which park (if any) would be able to afford it like that ??? GeorgeT

This is soooo good and important news...! I mean this is TPR`s number one steel coaster in the world...it HAS to run insanely good to proove that the people from this community know EXACTLY what they`re talking about saying that this is the best steelie on the planet ! GeorgeT -
Mystery USA GCI Project?
GeorgeT replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well...maybe it IS doing great things in Branson ? I mean...why do we ALWAYS expect rollercosters to give rollercoaster rides to the people ? Who knows what else they`re good for ? Who knows, what they`re doing at night...when all the lights are off ??? We totally need to be more sensitive here...don`t judge them cause they`re just lie around sometimes...after all that`s what most of TPR`s members do in their free time, right ? I totally postulate more empathy here... GeorgeT -

It`s going up and down on the same side of this non-inverting loop...that`s the difference ! EDIT : Oooops...I guess MagicMountainMan was faster... -

Oh yesss...! I have to say I´m totally impressed, too. Looks like they will start on a very high level...theming and coasterwise. And I was surprised cause I didn`t know anything about it and now the`re already sooo far with building this. GREAT ! Greeds...GeorgeT -
Totally love how you guys "celebrate" EuroMirs Music and Theming. And because some of you seem to relive their (positive) Europe experiences here...I`d like to post EuroSats Theme/Music, too. Though maybe not as catchy as EuroMirs song...I think this Song is also outstanding. Enjoy : Greeds...GeorgeT

You say "sorry" for another post ??? Thank you sooo much for all the effort. And next time you wanna say sorry for posting something that interesting, just write it on a piece of paper and stick it to your hat, Dude ! (at least that`s what the germans use to say when something totally doesn`t fit !) Once again...THANK YOU ! -

Wooooooooow... Best coverage of Hotel Matamba I´ve seen so far. GREAT DONE ! George"I wish I could have met you too at the Europa trip since we seem to have EXACLY the same taste...including the love for Blue Fire" T. (Wow...that was long... ) -
Blue Fire has Inversions, Blue Fire has a launch AND Blue Fire has Theming...that`s why I see how people could easily vote Blue Fire over EGF. And many people do...like me. BUT : A warmed up EGF is MUCH (!) more intense...without any doubt. But B.F. delivers more fun IMHO. So like always, it`s a question of personal preferences. That`s nothing new...I was just expecting that those who like Europas coaster-style (more fun and well-themed than thrilling) would also like B.F. alot. That`s all. George T.

Man, this is sooo crazy ! While you, Robb and Elissa, vote for Europa being the best park out there...you don`t care for Blue Fire that much ??? All I can tell is that so many people visiting the park, German`s AND non-germans LOVE Blue Fire. Many people said that Blue Fire is hands down the best coaster in the park, even the best one in Germany...and I showed the park to a lot of people/groups since it opened in 2009. While I TOTALLY respect your opinion and love you work...I really hoped that you would see Blue Fire as a great addition to the park. So I`m just a little dissapointed because of that...but,of course, I don`t want to criticise... George "thinking Blue Fire`s Heartline Roll is one of the coolest elements EVER" T.

I like this TR VERY much...hoping for more !!! So thanks... Greeds...GeorgeT

I didn`t know that Gardaland is soooo beautiful...one of the best places I`ve seen themingwise. Too bad they chose an SLC for being their "main" coaster. Would LOVE to visit the place though... GeorgeT
