  1. Just found a VERY nice video of the opening ceremony of Europa`s Splash Battle...with some very, I mean VERRRY nice ladies also Clicky : I didn`t care at all for this thing in the beginning...but it turned out to be a very nice addition to the island area...! Greeds...GeorgeT
  2. Europa Park just released a little video which gives a nice overview of this years new attractions : http://www.europapark.de/lang-de/c51/default.html Greeds...GeorgeT
  3. Well, some things are necessary, while others aren`t... Besides...there`ll be a huge roll-over-Europa-Park this Saturday plus some barbecue later at the tipi dorf AND having a huge and cold Weizen at the Mille Miglia (Colosseo-Bar) in the night-time. Anybody else from TPR gonna join us ? And what about you, Kooky ?
  4. Thank you for the nice coverage, Dan. I really appreciate you reviews, cause I have the impression, that you really try to describe things in an objective way, which is great. So, please do this everywhere around the globe. Thanks..ähäm...I mean MORE !
  5. So first, here`s a first simulation : AND I have to say I totally disagree with what I read. What`s really missing over here ??? I mean, we have Goliath and GeForce, two EXCELLENT Intamin-Steelies, we have the huge Colossos prefab-woodie, we have our georgeous OTSR-free Blue Fire (who really needs Maverick then), we have nemesis and katun, two EXCELLENT inverts, the huge multi-looper Dragon Khan, the heavily themed Black Mamba (that became VERY fast and powerful by the years), think about G`segte Sau, that awesome fun and airtime-machine, BALDER (!!!), the little but "rocking" GCI El Toro...and so on. Please, guys (I mean the REALLY experienced one`s who`re able to compare), correct me if I´m wrong, but if you just take a look how relatively close many of them are one to another...I think we here in Europe are blessed with very good coasters. And some of them are so well themed... I`m not missing anything (which doesn`t mean that you have loads of good costers over there) George "loving the european-coaster-selection" T.
  6. It is so HUMAN to worry about those restraints, if someone`s afraid the ride could be spoiled because of them... It is so INTELLIGENT to wait until there`s the chance to ride and then (maybe) complain... George "pretty sure this thing will kick a§§" T.
  7. Totally impressed by the drop-thing ! And yesss, the pre drop intro is brilliant to enhance the tension, I guess. Most innovative coaster for a long time...in my opinion. Cause a coaster with a freefall-element is a GOOD innovation IMHO. And the price for the (by far) most ugly coster train ever clearly goes to Alton Showers. Oh me got ! I think me, I`m getting ugly just by looking at that design... GeorgeT
  8. Hey everybody! This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Belantis, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Belantis Belantis Offical Website Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. It will be a 5-Inversion-Eurofighter...and from the artworks it seems as if the cars are like the ones on anubis. Here`s the data : Heigth : 32 Meters Lift : Vertical First Drop : 97 Degrees Length : 560 Meters Elements : Zero-G-Roll Cobra Roll Interlocking Corcscrews Some Airtime-Hills G-Forces : From -1,3 to 4,9 G`s A little Artwork to get an impression (please scroll down): http://www.belantis.de/www2006/0ec15baa9437436fff3e5fdbb4a7cae3_de.php Belantis call`s this already Europe`s "hardest" Rollercoaster... Well, we`re gonna see...but for shure this will be a very good addition for that beautiful landscaped and themed park. (If everything works out fine this coaster will be launched already in June/July 2010) Greeds...GeorgeT
  9. Hi friends ! Hope it`s okay to post this link from the suisse Europa-Park Fanclub called EP Fans. The photographer, who`s name is Mark Polster, took these excellent shots. Probably very nice to look at for evereybody who`s even a littlebit into that park. Now, here`s the link : http://www.epfans.info/?id=2855&lang=& Greeds...GeorgeT P.S. I think Blue Fire looks absolutely marvellous from above
  10. Happy bithday, Robb ! I wish someone will ever organize this kind of party for me...AWESOME ! George "el jealouente" T.
  11. Hey, Beavis...Butt-Poll...yeah, haha...BUTT-POLL...now, that`d be cool...haha...YEAH !
  12. Now, that`s easy... Nr. 6 looks VERY nice, but Nr. 2...just WOW, I mean WOOOOOOOOW ! The Butt-poll is a great idea besides...but I mean, you were bored at Europa... ? Hmmm, didn`t hear that before. Maybe you`re very much into taking butt-pics and needed an excuse. Man, that`s okay, that`s just testosterone...you`re still young, so what do you expect...? GeorgeT
  13. I know how much you were looking forward to that...so of course I`m curious how it all turned out...! But you already mentioned that you had had a good time...so the most important thing is already said. You know, I raved a lot about Blue Fire, so I hope no one who travels so far, like you did, will be too dissapointed about Europa or especially B.F. GeorgeT
  14. Hey Philrad, didn`t you say you`ll post a Europa-TPR ? What are you waiting for...I´m curious...! Come on !!! Greeds...GeorgeT
  15. Incredible (Night-) Shots, especially the one with the total (from the side) of Olympia Looping...the best shot I ever saw from that coaster...congrats ! GeorgeT
  16. When I went into Mille Miglia for the first time, all the doors (to the balconys) were open, a warm breeze floated through the bar (sorry for the bad english) and I really couldn`t imagine a better place to take a beer in the evening...just one of these few moments when you think : I really don`t wannbe anywhere else in the world but here at this moment... GeorgeT
  17. The church at Marienplatz looks like the best haunted house ever...gruesome, in a good way... Besides...the huge "puppet" you were missing was in front of StarWorld, which is now looking totally different. It`s now called "Höllenblitz-the coaster" and has a complete new theming... GeorgeT
  18. Thanks, Robb, for (sometimes) being soooo patient with those, who`re asking stuff that was answered a fantastillion times (at least !) before... GeorgeT
  19. Dear rider117... Sorry for the late answer...this thing is running at "Cannstatter Wasen" in Stuttgart at the moment. We had it here in Freiburg twice (Thank god...) But I think you can google for the whole tourplan... GeorgeT
  20. Yes, it swings up to about 135 degrees, the huss frisbee`s stop at about 90 degrees...and this one is MUCH bigger/higher...maybe you could call this an "outside-in-maxair". Anyone able to compare ??? GeorgeT
  21. If I got it right it would have been VERY dangerous with a second train in the station, which is very often the case. So maybe it`s not that harmless... GeorgeT
  22. I know, EVERYTHING is a question of the personal taste, but this thing is just awesome. You have so strong positive G`s when you fly through the station and "endless"airtime on top...by far the best flat I`ve ever been on...and even some of my friends who normally don`t care that much for flats LOVED the ride... GeorgeT
  23. Flying Circus is just ill...I didn`t like the ride itself, but it LOOKS awesome, it really does... Our best travelling flat, XXL, is missing, just like LASER elissa, ähäm sorry, I meant alias Teststrecke...they`re both at Cannstatter Wasen (nearly at the same time) which is also a GREAT german funfair...(can someone deliver some pics, pleeease !) GeorgeT
  24. Oh, Oh...not so good news, I guess... Earlier on Holidays Web Page the park wrote that EGF will reopen after about a week...and now, they wrote that it`s not clear, when it will reopen... "Our" Experts/ my buddies from the onride community think, that It´s realistic, that EGF will not reopen this season, cause it`s seriosly damaged... Someone who stood in line when the incident happened said, that it was VERY noisy, there was some smoke and that it would have been very dangerous with a second train waiting in the station... GeorgeT
  25. Thank you both for sharing...and looking forward to the rest of your reviews. Did I get it right that you rode S.S. somewhere in the middle ? Why (as the front or last row is much better on that ride...) ? GeorgeT
