  1. I totally need to go there once before I die...NOT But always fun to see reports of such unknows parks...so thanks !!!
  2. Now thst`s EXACTLY what I meant...thanks for explaining !
  3. Hmmm...looks a little weak, right ??? I guess the tunnels and theming will add a lot to the ride experience...but the layout looks a little tame that way. But I have to say that I´m not shure if this recreation fits to the layout of GCI`s model...
  4. This will definitively be one of the better inverts I guess. I like that layout VERY much...AND it`s a (smooth) B&M...so I guess that ride will NOT dissapoint
  5. Yes...you have to pay pay for each ride seperately. This is normal for all the german funfairs...but there`s nothing you have to pay for entering the festival area. Greeds...GeorgeT
  6. I highly doubt that there are many alternatives here in Germany to Oktoberfest. As I know all the big ones here in Germany...there are a few special things about Oktoberfest. It`s not just that the rides...especially the coaster selection is top notch...there are so many people from all around the world waiting for those days...the sheer amout of beer tents (huuuuge ones !) is incredible...it`s hard to explain...it`s just the biggest of all funfair partys...and you totally feel that all over the place ! I think if someone is travelling soooo far to get this kind of carnival atmosphere...it HAS to be Oktoberfest. Just my two cents...and by the way...my heart is bleeding cause I will not bethere this year. DAMN !
  7. Great Pics...thanks for posting that !!!
  8. I didn`t ride it myself...but heard several times that the rattle very much depends on the place. While the rattle is okay in the front and the back of the cars...the middle has some serious rattle... Gonna check that myself soon
  9. If you`re talking about the picture that I uploaded three posts earlier...well...THAT looks more like a 5 seconds ride Joking aside...it will definitively be more on the short side...but it`s more than 1000 meters long...so it`ll probably be okay like that. Maybe the coaster looks THAT small because it`s footprint is al littlebit bigger / longer compared to other GCI`s ??? Just a thought...
  10. Going through that trench with more than 100 km/h will kick ### I guess. Well...the drop doesn`t look THAT steep...but hopefully the twistyness of the whole first drop will make up for that... First drop...second half. SOURCE : EP Board !
  11. That Park looks very well landscaped...not to mention the great collection of rides. Thanks for sharing !
  12. Thriller was a wet looping-coaster-fan`s dream ! That thing was soooo intense ! But it`s gone...so I guess Olympia Looping has no competition at all !
  13. In the US you are really pampered with parks featuring tons of large costum designed coasters - and I envy you sometimes for it.... Here in europe even "big" parks "only" have 5-8 credits - a thrid of them family or kiddie - plus even the thrill coasters are mostly small or standard variants from the manufacturers and seldom large costum designed coasters. "Average" parks normally have 1-2 thrill coasters plus 1-2 family/kiddie coasters - so you can't amass credits as fast as in the US - unless you've a big transatlantic travel-budget. The only thing we can count on are the classic travelling coasters on our carnivals - and they're only a subway-ride away.... Where`s the problem ??? Europe has wonderful parks and a bunch of GREAT Coasters...Sorry...but I have to say it`s GREAT to live here theme park / coasterwise
  14. Jeppp...I totally agree...if visiting a theme park means enjoying rides, shows, good food and taking time to absorb the energy/vibe of the place...then Europa Park definitively is a three day park...at least. But my problem...to be honest, is that it will ALWAYS (!!!) feel too short...because inside a truly beatiful park like Europa, Disney, Efteling, Phantasialand etc....it will always feel better to be inside than to be outside. The whole world should be THAT (!) beautiful. A too long stay at top Theme Park ??? Never...impossible...no way
  15. AFAIK Europa has lot`s of space to build new attractions...so I guess they believe that building the Coaster there and letting it interact with other attractions would create a better atmosphere in that area. I know many people who like it a lot when different atractions interact (including me)...an I guess Europa knows that
  16. I have to say that it makes me VERY happy to get some positive feedbacks for this trip report. And we`re even linked to the front page now... WOHOOOOOO As some of you may visit Europa Park with TPR next year...we thought it would probably be a good idea to add an extra report later...just showing you the different restaurants, bars and other stuff the whole resort offers after park closing. So I think we`ll be back with that in about two or tree weeks !!! So all of you...have a good time...and thanks for reading ! GeorgeT
  17. I`m sorry for that...it works absolutely fine for me. So do I need to post them all ? Has it to do with the country ? GeorgeT (EDIT : NO...I think they are NOT hosted somewhere else...)
  18. More Pics (about 50 !) from Chris-Space.net with those "sweeeeet" signs all over the track : http://nettsurfer.pytalhost.de/?incvar=bilder.php&path=news/2012/2011_08_20-coastermodell/ What I love the most about this coaster until now is the fact that it`s going underground several times...plus the station fly-through. So I guess the sense of speed will be great... GeorgeT
  19. Aaaaah...so you`ve been there, too. Would have been sooooo nice to meet up cause I like what you write in the forums a lot Maybe next year...or probably next spring when Europa launches the new woody...I guess you`ll be there, too, right ? Greeds...GeorgeT
  20. Stop bashing Europa Park...stop it
  21. You`re welcome ! And you are definitively not the only one who loves the nighttime at parks...that one of the reasons why Europa is so incredibly packed during the summer party. Well at least, as I mentioned before, there`s a lot of time on Helloween (and during the winter season) to experince Europa in the dark. And the entrance placa is enlightened and open every evening...so is the whole resort ! The problem is just that the park produces too much noise...and the locals are absolutely not happy with that...so it will stay an exception for shure. Greeds...Gero
  22. Hi Larry...so nice to hear you appreciated some of our pictures You know...the FIRST thing that came to my mind when I entered the Mangellan Lounge for the first time was : "I have to show this to the TPR guys...I need to tell them about how beautiful it is...and take some pics to show here in the forum" Besides...the staff helped us to take those pictures...so yes...the were for granted Larry...if you need any other picture for the index...just let us know...it would be a pleasure to assist. Greeds...Gero
  23. So I think the park won`t be too packed. And during the summer...especially during the weekend...opening time usually is extended to 8 or 9 pm...sometimes even 9:30 pm ! I guess you`ll have loads of time. But I guess I have to dissapoint you a littlebit. You will not be able to ride Silver Star and Blue Fire in the dark. Maybe if you choose one of them and you are one of the last riders it could be dark already. But that just works when the park is open until 9:30...so I guess you`ll need some luck. But you need to explore the whole resort in the evening !!! There are so many WONDERFUL bars and restaurants...don`t miss the Colosseo Bar, the Bar from the El Andaluz Hotel and the bar that`s located very high in the castillo hotel. And there`s a nice little western village with a nice saloon (with really good) western food in the area of the Tents and wagons...it`s called Tipi-Dorf ! Try not to miss too much !
  24. @ Kooky and Beamer Boy : Thank you SOOOO much (!) for giving us feedback !!! To be honest...we (Rainer and me) were really a bit sad that no one gave us a littlebit of (positive) feedback. It`s a lot of work to do a report like this...and it`s hard when no one is reacting at all...so thanks @Kooky : We took those evening pics during the "summernight party" on Juli the 30. The park was open until 24:00...and we had such a GREAT time then...! But, luckily, there are are more days where you can experience Europa in the evening...just think of Helloween time ! And you should really take some time to experience the diffrent restaurants and bars...so many places with great athmosphere. The variety is absolutely amazing Greeds...Gero EDIT : Just saw your post, oriolat. Yes...definitively the food loop is worth to try. The food really is very good there, the variety is huge...and I guess the prices are absolutely okay. But my advice is to try as many different types of food as possible at Europa. You asked about the crowds...well it varys...it`s hard to say in advance. But very often the park is not more crowded at the week end...I guess that`s because many people think that the park would be packed at the weekend so they choose to go on weekdays. It also depends on the weatherforecast...but I whish you good luck ! If you have any more questions...feel free to ask, oriolat !!!
