Cowabunga Bay waterpark
netdvn replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Good: - Excellent job on the theming. Attention to detail is top notch. - Colors make the play structure look eye-catching. - The huge play structure is perfect for families - A possible Schwarzkopf shuttle loop is coming to the park! The Bad: - Too bad I probably won't visit anytime soon. Overall: - The entire park is incredible. And the mountains in the background look beautiful against the colorful play structure. - I wish you luck on making this park highly successful PS: Are you gonna release brochures/maps for this park. If so, I would love to have some to add to my slowly increasing brochure collection. I would also like to make up for the brochures my anti-brochure parents tore to shreds yesterday. -
1. Why in the world would a boy be sent to Austrailia for stealing bread? Sounds more like a reward than a punishment (unless you're there to ride coasters ) 2. I voted...

The water ride looks excellent. But Rebel's area still looks barren. You should follow my advice on the previous page... -

http://www.rcdb.com/id1870.htm Under Construction since 1988. I believe only family members of the park owners got to ride... http://www.rcdb.com/id3478.htm Only two people have ever been on this coaster I'm sure there are other coasters in the world that fewer people have ever ridden. -

Is it a dildo? Seriously... Tokyo Disneyland? -
... except Oblivion, which is just imposing. Let's put it at this, everybody has a different method of classifying coasters. I classify by what they're made of, height, and style of coaster. Somebody else may classify them as just style of coaster or make/model.

The Brochure/Map Trade Topic
netdvn replied to Reality15's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ I've always wondered how you manage to get so many trades? I'm lucky to get two trades a month let alone enough trades to fill my room with 600+ brochures/maps.. This is what I lost... Brochures 2006 BGT - Torn beyond repair 2005 WDW - Heavily damaged, might be able to fix, but unsure 2004 SWO - Damaged beyond repair 2005 USO/IOA - Heavily damaged, might be able to fix, but unsure 2006 Cypress Gardens - Heavily damaged, possibly unable to fix Maps 2006 WOF - Tried repairing, but missing some pieces Extra 2006 CP Getaway Guide - Heavily damaged possibly beyond repair 2005 Florida Roadmap w/ Universal Orlando - Heavily damaged, might be able to fix 2006 BGT SheiKra promotion - Slightly damaged, easy fix (if I can find the missing piece) If you're really willing to donate some of your brochures/maps please respond to this message or PM me... I would greatly appreciate it. I won't be putting anything up for trade for the time being. -
I just had a dream where I could "save" my life like a in a video game. Every time something good happened I would save, and every time something bad happened, I would reset. I wish real life were like that...

The brochures I got on Saturday were torn to shreds by my angry dad today. Now I've tried to put them back together again, but its hard to do when your parent ripped up the brochures for Central Florida parks and a CP Getaway Guide... Hopefully my parents won't get the rest of my collection or I'll be spending the rest of the summer trying to put brochures back together again...

The Brochure/Map Trade Topic
netdvn replied to Reality15's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ Funny thing is, my parents actually got me started collecting brochures at an early age, but as I grew older, my parents take my brochures and tear them up when I misbehaved, etc. It eventually grew to, every time I collected brochures, and my parents found them, they would tear them up and throw them away. Then they got really pissed off when they found out I was trading brochures, claiming it was a waste of money for the other person because it costs money for stamps. My dad claims that collecting brochures is cutting into my schoolwork and bringing my grades down, but I guess he forgot that I've been collecting them (and losing them) ever since I was 2. He then went on to say that if I get an A in both my summer classes, he will attempt to get me as many brochures as I want. I hope he keeps his word but he has a tendency to back down on his word all the time. I've managed to salvage what's left of the current pile of ripped up brochures and I'm gonna try to tape whatever I can back together again. -

I'm gonna be taking a short break from trading. I'm starting to run low on envelopes and stamps and I'm gonna be busy for the rest of the summer. On top of that, my anti-brochure parents are really pissed that I'm collecting brochures and will proceed to take and tear up any brochures that I recieve. They even managed to get ahold of a recent trade of mine and tear up everything. I'm gonna wait until my parents mellow out before trading again. Any offers that I have right now will continue though. During this time I'll try to protect the brochures I still have from the wrath of my parents. Everyone can still reserve a spot for the postcards, but I'm gonna take everything else off the table for now... -
So by your definition, coasters like Gemini, Excalibur, the large Pinfari Zyklon/Galaxi coasters, etc... are conisdered hypers because they're large and mimic the actions of a traditional wooden coaster. No Steel Force is a steel coaster because it uses tubular steel track on a steel structure. Just because it mimics the actions of a wooden coaster doesn't make it a hyper or a wooden coaster. In order for it to be a hyper, it also has to be 200-299 feet (or atleast have a 200-299 foot drop somewhere). And in order to be a wooden coaster, the entire ride has to be 100% wood, or contain wood track on a steel structure. A steel coaster is either 100% steel, or has tubular steel track on a wooden structure. I classify all coasters by size as well as whatever their official name given to them by the company, for example, I classify Griffon as a hyper, but it is also a Dive Machine as well, so it is a Dive Machine/Hyper.

Are you gonna post the Discoveryland pics anytime soon? I've been waiting months to see them... -
Flaying coaster? A coaster that rips the skin off your body? Count me out. It's a Eurofighter... The post IS legible, but without the caps and punctuation, it's a lot harder to read and all those big words make it difficult to understand. But back on topic, parks create polls/surveys to determine what new rides/attractions to place all the time. I know Herschend did it with DW and the former Paramount Parks also released surveys to figure out which rides to add next.

^^ I don't think that B&M would do a contract like that unless they paid AB a TON of money. They'd lose out on some potential profit if another chain decides to build a DM. Rollbacks probably won't be as big of a problem as stalling in the top hat would because riders can be easily unloaded... Would it? And the only Hydraulic launch coaster that I can think of stalled is TTD, which stalled three times so the chances of a hydraulic launcher to stall in the top hat is still fairly small...

I had an awful day today... - I kept waking up every hour last night. I had a dream that I was watching a movie about the end of the world and then I woke up. Every time I tried to fall back asleep, the dream would repeat. - My 3 Y/O nephew woke me up at 6. - I have to read the most boring play ever and write about the characters. On top of that I have an online quiz to take tomorrow and Monday. Its an obscure play so there's no Spark Notes for it and I can't understand it. - It was cold and rainy today. I hate cold, rainy weather especially during June, when its supposed to be warm and sunny. - The brochures that I was supposed to get in a trade ended up in the hands of my anti-brochure parents. - The person I was trading with didn't get his coupons on time. - My dad blocked every single website I visit so I have to use a proxy. Luckily I found a good one but when I download YouTube videos they often get cut off. - Dan, I just hope tomorrow is better, Nguyen -

I've been wondering... Is it possible for SFMM to build a strata using STE's existing structure? They could get rid of the track from the station to the base of the tower and build the new track next to where the original track went. The top hat would go directly over the tower and they could place any extra supports behind it. The launch would be next to where STE's right launch track used to be and the brake run would be next to the former left side launch track... Both Mr. Freeze coasters and Chiller have inverted tophats. I hope you know that.

Awesome pics Man SF really IS trying to copy the CF of 1999-2005, right down to the excessive use of trash cans... Did you get to ride Bucaneer Battle?
