  1. This is terrible... Billy Mays was the LAST person I'd expect to die. I'm praying that his family and friends get through this. Like everybody else has said, you'll be greatly missed as the greatest pitchman ever. Lets just hope Vince from ShamWow can continue his legacy... This makes me wonder... Were these people checked by some onsite medical team before heading home? I'm pretty sure Tampa's airport has some sort of clinic in case something like this happens. RIP - Billy Mays
  2. This is the username my dad uses in just about every single forum he posts in so I stole it.
  3. No.. I ripped the MP3 off the YouTube video and downloaded it to my computer. Mine Cart Madness - Donkey Kong Country
  4. Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley Surprisingly good song!
  5. I just picked up a few more BGW brochures today at the outlet mall... I'm gonna try to head down to BGW on Monday if it's not too hot and pick up some maps if anybody's interested. So far my collection stands at... Brochures: 2009 BGW x 12 2008 Ocean Breeze Waterpark x1 Extra: 2009 BGW Event Schedule x1 EDIT: I've been considering asking parks to send me their 2009 brochures/maps. Do I have to pay for shipping and handling? I checked their websites and nothing was mentioned and I'm unable to pay for S&H at the time...
  6. There are a lot similar to this, but for some reason, this made me laugh. Maybe because those aren't really FMLs. They're more along the lines of an MLIA (My Life is Average) or MLIG (My Life is Great) Not really FMLs but these are great... http://mylifeisaverage.com/index.html
  7. Funny... I went to BGW on July 4 in 2006 and the park was jam packed. Then I went July 4, 2007 and the park was dead for much of the day. Everything, even Griffon was a walk on. My suggestion... Be prepared for insane crowds because it IS a holiday weekend. If you can use Quick Queue, then use it. If the park is dead, then you won't need to worry much. Just enjoy yourself. PS: If the park does stay dead during the day, chances are there might be a flood of people getting into the park later in the evening before the fireworks. The best place to see them is in the main parking lot between AC's first and second drop.
  8. 1. If you feel bad for me because my parents tore up my brochures and you want to donate, please feel free. 2. If you don't feel bad and you're willing to donate anyway, GREAT! 3. If you feel bad (or not) and you're willing to trade with me. Excellent. 4. If you don't believe the story and you don't want to donate or trade, then don't. I'm not stopping you... As long as I get new brochures/maps that I don't have (or that I lost before) I'll be fine. I love collecting maps/brochures. I've done it since I was really young and I don't really wanna stop now. Even if my parents are anti-brochure... PS: I wouldn't be asking people to donate brochures that I already have. Not pictured 2006 BGT 2004 SWO EDIT: Note, I did state that my parents have been doing this since before I started school (which was quite a few years ago). These are some of the brochures/maps I need... And just for the record, I DON'T live in Omaha... Wanna trade? The PCW ones are already reserved. You can still reserve your spot for the Centre Island one... The Terminator and Sea World ones are not for offer because they belong to my sister. What's left of my collection WDW 2005 CP Getaway Guide Universal Orlando 2006 I tried to fix this one with tape, but I ran out... Cypress Gardens
  9. http://vacationfun.com/programs.asp?id=12&filt=&eb=&kw=&page=4 Order form for Missouri park brochures... WOF should be on the next page. http://vacationfun.com/programs.asp?id=17&filt=&eb=&kw=&page=3 Order form for Texas park brochures Again, I read nothing about shipping and handling, so I'm guessing its free, but I'm not really sure... I just PMed a few people with offers and I'm still waiting for the donation...
  10. Does it have anything to do with LEDs?
  11. I first heard about his death in class. A whole bunch of students came in talking about his death and just about everybody jumped when they heard the news. I didn't believe it until I read the articles on BBC, CNN, and Fox News. I totally agree with everybody else here... Although he did do some really insane things in recent years, you've gotta admit, his music is amazing. His music videos and his dance moves were revolutionary for their time and he did a lot of humanitarian efforts. I'm pretty sure he will be deeply missed. RIP Michael...
  12. EDIT:^^^That's a pretty fanboyish statement to say... Keep in mind, BGW is a theme park which focuses on atmosphere and theming while KD is an amusement park which focuses more on delivering rides/attractions. IMO BGW is an excellent park, but aside from the 5 coasters and the 3 water rides, there really isn't much else to do (unless you haven't seen any of the shows yet). KD has bigger rides and a larger concentration of coasters compared to BGW. Sure there's tons of concrete and trash cans, but this IS a CF park. I won't say that one is better than the other because both have their good and bad points... --------------------------- Let's get back on topic... This is exciting. I really can't wait til this opens next year. This might be the key to drawing more people back to KD for a while. Lets just hope all these huge coasters won't bring CF into bankruptcy...
  13. Kit Kat Snickers Mr. Goodbar Krakel Junior Mints/York Patties Gummy anything War Heads
  14. ^^ You forgot the horses and the snakes as well. The Dippin Dots guy knows all...
  15. Ghost Ship (2002) I just saw it on YouTube today. The opening sequence where everyone gets cut in half and the flashback sequence toward the end where you get to see what happened to the rest of the ship during the massacre are the only parts of the movie worth watching IMO...
  16. I agree & instead of posting useful information like, say a construction update it's much easier for the majority of posters here to make jokes instead. Now has anyone been to the park lately to see if more track has arrived or what progress has been made placing footers or clearing land? The thing about it is that once construction topics get too seriously, somebody cracks a joke and everybody gets in on it. Then when somebody starts complaining about how the jokes are stale and that we should move on to a more serious discussion, everyone targets that person by making more jokes just to piss them off. Its basically how all construction topics here go. Now back to the serious discussion... I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend who's related to the Dippin Dots guy that this new B&M/Intamin 4D Gigaquatrax will connect BGW to KD and will have 2 stations. One will be situated behind Anaconda and the other will be on BBW's old spot. That's why BBW will get ripped out...
  17. Park looks good, but you posted the same pic four times... Architecture and scenery look great though. I'm interested in the orange coaster.
  18. Soothsayer - Buckethead... Such an amazing song.
  19. Its been a while since I've played RCT1 so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I believe walls/roof tiles are under the scenery button. If you can't find walls/roofs, you could always raise the land and use footpaths as the rooftops and I think you can also recolor the walls, but I'll have to check up on that...
  20. Good: - Coaster layouts are great. - Scenery around the car ride is excellent. Bad: - The houses are a bit close together. (especially for a suburb) - The park needs more color. - Needs more food/drink stalls Suggestions: - Add more flowers to make the park look nicer. Also increase the scenery around the coasters as well. Add trees, flowers, and theming around the rides. - Increase the space between the houses. Most suburban areas have huge front and back yards. - A lot of suburban developments use different model homes. I'm pretty sure RCT1 has more than one type of house you can use. - I believe RCT1 also comes with roof and wall tiles as scenery. You can create buildings using those without getting any expansion packs. - Your coasters might need final brake runs to keep your coasters from crashing when they break down. - Food, drink, and bathroom stalls are very important, but I think you'll add them later so I'll let that slide... Overall: - Good start for an RCT1 park. Add more scenery to make everything look nicer and you'll have a great park.
  21. Yo! Hey everybody guess what? KD is building a 300 foot 4-D, inverted, Intamin Aquatrax with lasers, snakes, horses, and fire. The ride is supposed to have a heartline roll launch to the moon where it will have 20 left turns, 50 right turns, and a 120 degree drop before falling back down to Earth. Then it will become a yellow B&M prototype with 200 loops which goes through a bunch of rings. In order to satisfy the ACErs, the ride will end with a splashdown into a pool of gravy. The brake run will be inside a gigantic trash can filled with concrete. Rumor has it that although B&M has a magical contract with Busch that lasts 1,000 years, they will build their newest prototype at KD. I know because the Dippin Dots guy AND the Lemon Chill guy told me...
  22. ^^^ Looping coasters can run without OTSRs... I don't understand WHY B&M would make an exclusivity contract with B&M stating that only Busch has the rights to their coasters (how do you explain Diamondback and Behemoth?). Busch would have to pay B&M a LOT of money in order to make a contract like that. I can understand that Busch may have exclusive rights to the DM around BGW and BGT and the Flying Coaster around SWO, but exclusive rights for ALL their models? If KD wanted a B&M hyper and couldn't build them, they would turn to another company, causing B&M to lose money. I don't think B&M wants something like this... There is no Jersey Devil concept at SFGAdv (that I know of). There will probably be more small, high-thrill coasters (Eurofighters, El Locos, GCI Woodies) and family coasters like Dark Knight/Tony Hawk. SF may build larger coasters in the future to keep their thrill base, but they're focusing on families and getting out of bankruptcy right now.
  23. ^ Or maybe they didn't want it to be a secret.
  24. Your strips never fail to make me laugh!! PS: Tweety Bird is a boy...
  25. CN's had some live action TV shows/movies for quite some time now. Really makes me miss the old CN from the 90s - early 00s...
