  1. Ryu looks awesome! I can't wait to see more of the shuttle coaster. In fact, I really wanna see the other mystery coasters as well.
  2. @ Rebel Yell's station! Too bad the station doesn't look like that today. The park looked excellent back then! Too bad the lake was filled in for the concrete waterpark.
  3. Those pics are amazing! Makes me wish those coasters were still operating, especially Riverview's Bobs, Rye's Aeroplane, and Ocean View's Rocket (that ride would be closer to my house, increasing my chances of riding it.)
  4. ^ Thanks for clearing that up. I was actually referring to a post before that which stated that something big was coming, but I looked over that post. A wood coaster is VERY likely to be a future CP coaster if Prowler and Renegade are successful. Last time I checked, Renegade was pretty popular so we'll have to see how Prowler does. Otherwise, I see a large family attraction.
  5. ^ B&M doesn't really build their prototypes at CP. Normally Alton or a SF park gets the prototype. They normally build Intamin prototypes, but with all the problems associated with Intamin prototypes (and prototypes in general), I don't see this being a prototype coaster. The B&M track is the size of either a B&M Stand Up, a Sit Down, and a Floorless. If the track was to go to CP, it would probably be either a floorless or a sit down.
  6. CP has stated that something new was coming to the park this year IIRC, but it hasn't been announced yet. If this is land clearing for a new ride, chances are that it would be for a very small attraction so that CP can build it in time for opening or at least summer. That land clearing seems a bit small for any major B&M or Intamin, although this could be land clearing for a large 2010 attraction.
  7. ^ Doubt it! Probably a space for more trash cans and concrete. But seriously, I think its for a small family ride or something like that. Or it could be for 2010's 500 foot tall B&M Dive Machine.
  8. ^ I remember reading that the park was planning something for next year. If that area was cleared for an '09 attraction, then it would probably be a small flat ride/kiddie coaster. It's too late for a new major coaster, large water ride, or massive flat ride to be built there if it were to open for the '09 season.
  9. Haven't been on ten coasters yet, but hopefully I'll be able to visit other parks this year to ride more 1. Alpengeist 2. Apollo's Chariot 3. Big Bad Wolf 4. Griffon 5. Grizzly (KD) 6. Loch Ness Monster
  10. Awesome PTR Manta looks really good!... No actually the entire park looks amazing. I definately wish I could visit sometime to ride Kraken and Manta.
  11. Upper 60s and sunny with possibility of going into 70s by the end of the day. Then going down to mid-40s and rainy tomorrow
  12. ^ I believe you get two seperate rings. If I'm not mistaken, the rings are attatched to each other as well. Dan - I rememeber seeing this on TV, but I can't remember how it actually turned out - Nguyen
  13. ^ How do you "improve" the layout of a used Boomerang?
  14. ^^ There are Disney parks in Japan so it would still be a "Round the World" tour, even if HKDL closes. This is really unfortunate for HKDL as well as Hong Kong itself. This situation kinda reminds me of HRP. If the park closes, it would be the second Disney park to close its gate and the first full-sized Disneyland to close. EDIT: I read the article closer and it turns out that the park isn't adding more attractions. It will stay open.
  15. ^ That's cool! I really don't like the cartoony look of the CF maps.
  16. Yes because nobody in the world is named "Yourself." Why can't I think of a good "dumb" question right now?
  17. WOW! Your park looks BEAUTIFUL! The setting and the attention to detail are amazing. I can't wait to see more.
  18. The ride is looking totally awesome. Just one more reason I wish I could visit Orlando this year. My guess is that they could place the track on one of those elevator on wheels thingies that people use to get to high places, transfer the track on a cart, and wheel it in. Or maybe they already have track installed inside and you just can't see it. Or there could be a gap in the roof that they could use to crane the track in, but you just can't see it from the ground. You can't judge a coaster's intensity based on the pictures you've seen. And plus, I haven't seen many out and back steel coasters built lately besides Diamondback and Behemoth (which don't really count because most hypers are out & back) and Led Zeppelin (which could be considered an out and back, but I guess it depends on the person)
  19. ^ Could it be Aquatrax? - and no Maverick is NOT an Aquatrax.
  20. The rides are custom made and you have to download them off the Internet. http://rctgrotto.coastergrotto.com/rctdownloads.jsp http://www.rct-theme-world.de/rct-liste/complete-list.htm I did a quick Google search and these sites came up first.
  21. ^ Ah! I understand now. Thanks for clearing that up.
  22. ^ I know Demon Drop has a chance of being removed because it is aging and parts are difficult to come by, but do you think CP would be willing to get rid of a popular (indoor) family attraction for another high thrills coaster? (I can't say anything about the stadium because I'm not sure if its used or not.) I believe that if a DM were to be built near the entrance, it would be Oblivion-sized as fewer rides need to be moved/removed. (like Demon Drop) Your GCI seems to be the most plausabe choice for a coaster by the entrance because GCIs are generally small, cheap, and very thrilling. The park is also overdue for a major wood coaster anyway, not to mention that no rides need to be removed/moved according to your plan. Also a family spinning coaster could definately fit there. If you want a major steel coaster, I can see a Gerstlauer Eurofighter squeezed in there somewhere.
  23. What? Straight Track? Too many brakes? Boring? That's ridiculous since the ride looks completely insane! The only straight track I actually see is the series of brakes that the ride will have. Plus, block brakes are used to actually INCREASE capacity because they allow more trains to run on the circuit IIRC. That's why rides like Great American Revolution and LNM have so many.
