  1. The supports that showed up at KD were sent to the wrong park. They've been packed up and the trucks took them away. Dick Kinzel and a bunch of CF bigwigs were there. *sigh*
  2. ^Nah only Six Flags can pull off the parking lot coaster and do it with elegance and beauty... Cedar Fair fails at doing so. Look at Dominator. Put it over a parking lot, then grow grass under it!
  3. They can't really refuse you a cup of water. For one it'd be like saying "No, go die of thirst and don't waste my time."
  4. Just a couple weeks ago the rest of the Lincoln Park Comet collapsed. If you check Screamscape it has the information and a link to a person's pictures of the wreckage and mess. This is fairly sad, seeing a classic coaster rot for 21 years then fall. It was kinda doomed to collapse since the lift hill did in 2005.
  5. ^^So according to that guy, HRRR was supposed to be made by B&M? Also they took the lift down to change the anti-rollback system? I've been rick rolled 3 times in this darn thread As my friend suggested, I don't scroll over the link to see the actual address. I always fall for them.
  6. Overheard in crew one morning- "One time Anaconda didn't have the tunnel and the cars stopped in the water and the people drowned"
  7. Well I hate dark rides so I know nothing about any of them. And the woman in front of us in line for one coaster had a fanny pack (dorky... but efficient) and they let her take it on all the rides and she managed not to lose it.
  8. To date (I've ridden 22 coasters! Whoopie!) it's Anaconda in the back 2 cars and Hurler anywhere. I love both of them to death. Hurler because it's got immense airtime, Anaconda because... well.. it's an Arrow, it's fun, and my first looping coaster. Now this will probably change after I go to DP and SFGAdv June 22nd/23rd.
  9. I'm shocked nobody has brought this up yet- lockers. At King's Dominion they have cubbies on the exit side of the train that are free, but that also makes it a little bit slower for loading because you have to wait for people to put their stuff on it. Backlot has this little table thing that you put your stuff on while you're in the queue, and it's right by the exit. On Volcano someone comes around to collect your stuff and puts it on the table thing by the exit. Busch Gardens requires you to buy a locker for each ride, unless it's Big Bad Wolf, on that they let you hold backpacks or put them around your ankle. They also have the all day lockers, but they're in England, inconveniencing you every time you need something. Other than that fact, I'd say definitely go to Busch Gardens. It's cleaner, prettier, better coasters, and all that jazz.
  10. Virginia for me. King's Dominion is 20 minutes away Busch Gardens Williamsburg is 45 minutes-1 hour away.
  11. Alpengeist is my favorite name. (For those of you that don't know it means Ghost of the Alps)
  12. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has a single rider line. Griffon. (Apollo's Chariot used to have one but they don't use it, along with Alpengeist)
  13. I just read on someone's Twitter page (see "Mr Six giving out exit passes" thread) that Kingda Ka is operating.
  14. 14/20 with the same reason as Homer
  15. 1. Sidewinder 2. Arrow's loop Yeah... I'm a simple person
  16. I have once and let me say I'd rather have a controlled fall (preferably connected to a restraint, train and track) than just completely falling... especially since I'm ever so clumsy
  17. Apollo's Chariot opened in March and Raging Bull in May. Apollo's suffered technical delays after the first train, as all prototypes do (such as cleaning up bird guts and Fabio blood )
  18. What about Arrow's groovy-keen little splashdown/water brake on Matterhorn Bobsleds? I personally like them... if you're in the very back you get a little wet, but if you're just an innocent (and sometimes stupid, failure to acknowledge the signs) bystander, you will be SOAKED.
  19. ^How about a Boomerang officially named "The Anal Rape Machine" It would definitely be interesting to see the park tried anywhere else... here in America the owners would be sued up the wazoo...
  20. I don't wear my glasses unless I need to see (and I don't need to see stuff/signs/words faraway at amusement parks) However, my friend wore her glasses on everything at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Kings Dominon and never lost them. I can see how an extreme launch coaster like TTD would cause you to lose them, but as long as they curve around your ear you should be fine otherwise.
  21. Yes. I'm only 14, he can wait another 86 years. Do you think it's a dildo?
  22. ^^Matt, KDLvr is a whole whole whole lot worse than SFA-Regular. So much worse. I'd rather hear someone rip and rave about riding S:RoS while drunk than listen to that idiot babble on about Loch Ness Monster being rough.
  23. This seems like such a neat ride... especially if you put your enemy in the seat receiving the boodie-kicking Wave Swingers, in my opinion, are really fun. I'm sure this is kinda the same principle, except you don't get yelled at for grabbing onto other seats.
  24. It would be a crying shame to see this one go. I know Big Bad Wolf shakes a lot when the train hits the brakes and when it swings, so I can only imagine what EF does. And to tell the truth that trim at the base of the second does a lot. You can feel it slowing you down, especially if you're sitting in the back.
  25. Best misconception evah- "Busch Gardens was named after President Bush!" Ah I love when a school goes to an amusement park. You hear soo many GP things.
