  1. Thanks for that info, I didn't know that the new boats made a difference about getting soaked. I might give it a shot next time, but if my socks and shoes pay the price I know where to find you!
  2. Man the Dodgers are staring to scare me. We're heading for the home stretch and pitching rotations are getting all out of whack... Not a good sign at all!
  3. Has anyone ridden PP recently? How wet do you actually get? I haven't given PP a shot ever since I saw my sister soaked from head to toe after riding. I hate being soaked to the point that your shoes and socks become very uncomfortable for a good part of the day.
  4. ^ Let me reiterate that I only said that because of the current page the thread was on. I'm not that lost
  5. ^ For a moment, before your post, I thought I was reading the SFMM thread. Have fun at Knott's buddy!
  6. Well the good news is that you're coming in the off season and crowds shouldn't be too bad except for probably the Disneyland parks. The bad news is that without a car going to parks will be a bit more hectic trying to use LA's metro system. I really recommend renting a car for get around park to park. I hope everything works out for you.
  7. ^ I agree, I rode on at King's Dominion in Virginia and boy are those towers GREAT! Supreme Scream is about 254ft tall and Drop Zone at KD is 305ft, granted it isn't that much of a difference but the seats that are stretched out from the tower are too awesome.
  8. Well I never said that, all I said was that there would be nothing wrong if SFMM decided to add a S&S tower to their line-up. Just don't get fixated on the fact that there's a drop tower 40 miles away and people closer to SFMM wouldn't be grateful for it being that much closer to them. I know I would!
  9. Elissa confirm this for me when I got on Supreme Scream at Knott's awhile back... Imagine reaching the top of the tower and actually descending down the tower the second you reach the top. You don't feel any real forces or anything but your actually falling. Before you know you're back down the tower and you're wondering to yourself "What the hell just happen?" Well she told me that S&S tower have sort of a "failure" that they don't get the enough compressed air to drop the riders down so the fall down to earth is actually pretty calm and forceless in a weird way. It' might not scary but it sure was weird!
  10. ^ Actually I wouldn't mind have a tower like Supreme Scream at SFMM. I would actually welcome it with open arms just because it will add another deserved flat ride that the park can use. I personally enjoy drop towers and I think people that go to SFMM would enjoy one as well.... Just IMO.
  11. ^ If you are correct sir then thank you for clearing that up cause my brain got fried trying to figure that out!
  12. By the way I hated band camps on Saturday morning for about 6 hours. Wow that's one thing that just thinking back about it really sucked about marching band back then.
  13. Marching was pretty fun in High School. I was 1st chair alto sax and section leader. The trips were great and really made going to school a bit fun. It was great going to UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara for competitions.
  14. Thank you Dodger's for another come from behind win last night. Phillies, we'll see you again in about 2 months!
  15. The Orange County fair had the same line up except for the Kamikaze I think. Can't wait for the LA County fair in Sept. though!
  16. I need to get my lower wisdom tooth removed because it's coming in sideways! It's weird, there's no pain but the doctor told me that it may put a little pressure on my lower row of teeth in the distant future. On the other hand after reading this thread I'll be in no hurry to remove them for the time being.
  17. The ride, by the way, is the "Great American Scream Machine"
  18. ^ I can't speak for everyone but Knott's Berry Farm was a totally different park in the mid 80's to mid 90's. I grew up with that park and seeing it lose most of it's charm throughout the years kinda hurts. I can honestly say that going to Knott's in those days really realize what an amusement park was all about. The environment and atmosphere was something that the park should have been proud of in those days. I really still hold hope that someday the charm will be back in Snoopy's home. *By the way did you ever know that they use to have an AWESOME dolphin show at Knott's... Good times!*
  19. ^ I think most people like Silver bullet but are disappointed to find out that it's on of the least forceful B&M out there... and that the color scheme doesn't even match it's name!
  20. Six Flags Magic Mountain on August 19th.
  21. I agree as well with you guys. I would much rather have a show that is interactive and informative than one what has people in funny looking costumes dancing around to and fro. Just no my cup of tea.
  22. Sadly any flat ride that spins gets me nauseated. But for some reason I can take Sierra Sidewinder at Knott's... Go Fig!
  23. Big Mike... YOU ARE DA' MAN!!! You have no idea how entertaining your stories are and you never seem to fail with your charm Big Mikey Mike!!! And by the way, you still owe me a bottle of that charm of yours. Consider the one you used for the final ride on "The Cobra" a loan...
  24. That tune would actually fit in Ghost Town quite nicely as well.
  25. I actually enjoy Sierra Sidewinder at Knott's too. I think that type of ride would be a welcome addition to the Mountain... even though I can't take spinning on flats or coasters too well.
