  1. I like Batman's grey and black as it is, but I'd much rather have dark blue and black than bright yellow... If it's true, it could be good. It'd be nice to see Batman get some attention. I really do like SFMM repainting most of their coasters, though. It makes the park look a lot nicer.
  2. I really like the fire on X2 and Terminator, but if SFMM just threw fire onto another ride to "improve" it...I'd laugh. About Batman, at WCB, management had mentioned Batman getting its mist back sometime...sounds like this could be that time! As for Scream! being rethemed, sure, it's on an ugly parking lot and the only queue theme it has is real spider-webs, but really, what can you theme it to? Batman actually could be themed a lot better and could really change the ride experience. Its compact layout is also perfect for some mist and near-misses throughout the layout.
  3. Roar at SFDK. You never see the ride getting any attention, but it is very good. It isn't air-time-crazy, but it has a great layout and is incredible at night!
  4. ^ I rode Diamondback six times; I got the very back, four other places in the middle (inside and outside seats) and the 3rd row. Didn't get to ride it in the front, but I still think I fully experienced the ride. And like I said, I did get air-time on the first drop.
  5. Yep, B&M Hypers. So far the only one I've ridden is Diamondback, but while it was fun, it's definitely overrated. Besides the first drop, I didn't really notice any air-time...and the trim/MCBR was very annoying. Also, I'm not sure if this is just Diamondback or not, but I found the ride to completely die after the MCBR and crawl over the rest of the hills/layout. The rest look to do the same... It will be interesting to see how it ranks in the MHCP. I know a lot of people that love the ride, and a lot of people that think it's overrated like myself.
  6. I agree. I would much rather have SFMM add more to the nothingness that is Thomas Town than add another pointless kiddie area with a couple rides.
  7. I voted for I don't remember, because I don't remember. I know I've been reading the Trip Reports on this site since at least 2007, but it wasn't until sometime in 2008 that I discovered "forums". I still didn't join for a while, but then on November 11, 2008 (the day I joined) there was a front page update on the TPR Trip Chat, and I wanted to see it, so I joined that day. I probably found TPR for the very first time on Youtube...but that's too long ago to remember.
  8. That's great news! WCB this year was awesome, and I was thinking about also doing Solace this year, but this will be much better!
  9. Arizona California Florida Indiana Kentucky Missouri Nevada Ohio Pennsylvania Utah West Virginia
  10. ^ I know, which is why I don't get how the Tiger show was open.
  11. I'm planning on making it to Holiday in the Park this year, so this was nice to read. Were any other shows open in Land?
  12. I'll be going to the usual home parks several times (Castle Park, Knott's, Disney, and SFMM). There's also Universal Studios Hollywood and Legoland, which I still haven't been to, so I'm definitely going to try to make it to those this (er...next) year. I'm also planning an East Coast for late June next year to SFNE, Lake Compounce, SFGAdv, Dorney, Knoebels, and Hershey. If everything goes well, my count will get up to the 180's! Should be a great year.
  13. I agree 100%. Tatsu's pretzel loop ruins the ride for me, and while I don't like Goliath's helix, I can still ride Goliath a couple times in a row without getting sick.
  14. Nice TR. Weird, I don't remember seeing the Flying Shoe ride when I went to the park in June. What in the park is it close to?
  15. If they squeezed in an Intamin Ball Coaster, I'd be happy. Seriously. Tele2 Insane was about 7 million dollars, and they're extremely compact. It'd be awesome if Knott's got something like that. Sure, they don't have the capacity of a B&M, but according to rcdb it has better capacity than Boomerang, so it isn't impossible.
  16. So, I've been wondering for a while, which side is Colossus' Right Side and which side is the Left Side? Is it whichever one is on the Right/Left as you're entering the queue or when you're sitting down on the ride?
  17. Just sent my ballot in. My Top 20: 1. Millennium Force 2. Maverick 3. X2 4. Favorite Wooden Coaster (Voyage) 5. Goliath (SFMM) 6. Phantom's Revenge 7. Xcelerator 8. Diamondback 9. Magnum XL-200 10. Top Thrill Dragster 11. Medusa (west) 12. Raptor 13. Batman The Ride 14. California Screamin' 15. Flight Deck (CGA) 16. Speed The Ride 17. Wicked 18. Colossus The Fire Dragon 19. Wicked Twister 20. Gemini
  18. I'm going with New England. I have the opportunity to ride two of the best coasters on the planet; I'm not going to pass it up. Besides, while BGW does look like an amazing park (and I've been wanting to go to it for years) I can see myself finding the B&Ms overrated. By the way, yes, I have been to Kennywood...and I would much rather ride Bizarro/Boulder Dash or go to BGW/ride i305 than ride a Premier launching coaster and a GG woodie.
  19. I find this whole thing hilarious... But...to be honest, since it was announced that KBF was getting Demon Drop, I've become a little excited to have the ride so close by, but this actually much better news. It really was a bad idea. That space could be used for something a lot better (I'm thinking the station for the park's next big coaster), that is if Screamin' Swing is still being removed...
  20. I'm planning on being at West Coast Bash at SFMM (which is sometime in March) but I'll most likely make it to another park before that (either Knott's or SFMM). If it's SFMM, I always start my day off with X2 and if it's Knott's, I'll probably start off with Xcelerator (when it reopens)...if it ever reopens...
  21. Nice pictures, but captions are always nice.

  23. I'm currently planning an East Coast Trip for Late June next year, including SFGAdv, Dorney, Hershey, Knoebels, and either SFNE/Lake Compounce or KD/BGW. Can only do one due to time and money, and I'm wondering which you guys think is better. I'm thinking SFNE/Lake Compounce, just because I want to ride Bizarro and Boulder Dash more than pretty much anything, but i305 is looking pretty awesome and I'd love to go to BGW, so I thought it could make a pretty interesting discussion for those who have been to both areas.
