  1. That is still one of the most weirdest things i have witnessed in sports. Just because your franchise has no history worth celebrating doesn't mean you retire #'s of players on other teams. Well, the NHL retired #99 (and #66 is sort of an unspoken retirement thing), #3 is pretty much retired in NASCAR, and MLB retired #42, so I've never really been opposed to the NBA, or certain teams, chosing to retiring #23. I have no clue about the NHL so i won't comment but Dale Sr died in the 3 and Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier and impacted the whole sport. What did MJ do for the Heat? Probably put some more butts in the seat when the Bulls came to town, that's about it. If you are that tempted to retire a #, atleast do it for Alonzo Mourning who is probably the best player they ever had anyway.
  2. That is still one of the most weirdest things i have witnessed in sports. Just because your franchise has no history worth celebrating doesn't mean you retire #'s of players on other teams. LeBron is a FA and if he wants he can play in Nicaragua for all i care, but the way he dumped Cleveland is classless. You don't even call your bosses to let them know you are leaving?
  3. Consumer Reports was able to get their hands on the first Volt to come off the Assembly line in Michigan and took it out for a drive. After the 1st generation, when the prices come down a bit more i will be in the market for one for sure.
  4. I wasn't too hot about the 458 when it first came out, but those pics in black are just WOW
  5. As an Indian who goes there atleast once every three or four years i have yet to make it out there to Esselworld. It always land in Mumbai and see family and friends. After your epic TR, i got to check it out next time, whenever next time is.
  6. Couple of new ads for the Hyundai ix 35 (Tucson in America). They seems to be parodying a popular motoring show, but what could it be? The hosts are a wildbeest, a hamster, a turtle and a stag. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMJ9vGBavxE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO5j3epzeZs
  7. A new video of a virtual tour through Ferrari World has been released. WOW is pretty much the only reaction i have for this place.
  8. No thanks on Kelley Johnson. The guy always hits for a month, the rest of the year he is a ghost. Kelley Johnson injury last year was the best thing that happened to the Braves, finally Bobby woke up and gave Marteeeeeeeen a chance.
  9. I go to about 10 Braves games every year and last night was the most miserable for 8 2/3 innings. Damn that finish was exciting. We have yet to get over the Heyward bomb and McLouth of all people ends the game on a walk off. If the Atlanta Braves come to a ballpark near you, get yourselves to the game just to see Heyward. Those big moments in the game seem to find him and he is delivering every time. He is special folks. That's all i can really say about him. Those damn Yankees might already be backing up a Brinks truck in his driveway to sign him six years from now.
  10. I currently use the 255W and i love it. I have tried other people's Magellans and Tom Tom's. I am very comfartable with Garmin and you couldn't pay me to switch to another brand now. I got the 255W last thanksgiving for the same prices you quote now. As far as the updates go other than minor changes, you can pretty much use one for 4-5 years. By that time instead of getting an update it's cheaper to get a new one. Whenever i am at my parent's place i use their old Garmin streetpilot from 05-06 and it works great. It mostly lacks the newer POI's that all. So i would recommend a Garmin without a doubt.
  11. Meet the new Autobot, set to appear in Transformers-3: Any guesses first? No, okay here we go from Micheal Bay's blog: Pure awesomeness that is the 458.
  12. I haven't yet replied in the Florida thread so, kudos to you guys for keeping us all updated through your adventures. You capture the little things that most other people including me just gloss over or just plain don't see. I was at AK six months ago and i still found a bunch of new stuff in your update. Keep it going guys.
  13. Hands down the Google ad was the best one. Other than that Audi, Doritos kid version and Simpsons Coke are the only ones that are even worth a chuckle. The McDonalds ad was ruined by cheesy graphic work. Seriously couldn't they get Lebron and Howard to do some real dunks? The last few years has been pretty bad for superbowl ads, nothing memorable like Terry Tate the office linebacker.
  14. I voted for JDS03, N7 and Jcrouse. If it is possible my suggestion would be to incorporate JDS's logo into n7 or jcrouse card. In my opinion that logo somehow has to make it onto the card. An excellent job by everybody.
  15. Here is a thread where we discuss ALL video games: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30660
  16. Yep, it wouldn't look out of place on a real Disney Ship.
  17. My favorite shows: 24, Office, 30 Rock, NCIS and Amazing Race. I caught the trailer for season 8 of 24 last night during the World Series and i am posting it here for those who missed it since this as appropriate a place as any: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=399Hiwua0J4
  18. Seats of Gold: A story about the Legends Suites at Yankee Stadium. One of the best pieces i have ever read on ESPN. What goes on behind the scenes at these $2500 seats and why they are so damn empty. Check it out http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/eticket/story?page=091005yankeestickets
  19. I am sorry what are they going to do with him? He is not a player that can push them into contention all by himself. All the O's will end up doing is overpay yet again and stock up the Marlins for another five years.
  20. wahhhhhhh I knew that this "race" was too good to be true. I even went ahead and bought tickets to the Nats game on Saturday hoping for some good luck in the mean time. I feeling like throwing those in the shredder now. I don't know WTF Matt Diaz was doing over there on third base last night, auditioning for Dancing with the Stars? We still have excellent pitching for next year with Vazquez, Hanson, Jurrjens, Lowe and Hudson. Need atleast one bat to go with McCann. BTW Joe, It's not very healthy to drink that much Hatorade at 5 in the morning
  21. SFOG will open this thursday. Good job with the clean up by the staff. Report from the AJC:
  22. ^ Seriously? Bitching at you because someone on your team made a big play? I would have shoved her from the top deck. After an eternity, Bobby Cox is retiring from the Braves at the end of 2010. It will be a sad day indeed. I know for most people in Atlanta kicking Bobby around is their favorite sport. He will be missed when he is gone and we have someone like Terry Pendelton leading the Bravos. I for one hope they can bring back Freddy Gonzalez from the Marlins.
  23. Interstate 20 remains empty near the Six Flags Park exit on Tuesday. Flood waters from the Chattahoocee River covered parts of I-20 and Six Flags Over Georgia.
