How much do you use Twitter?
alilstronger replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I do not use it. Its too confusing to read the post half of the time with all of the hashtags. Its the same as Facebook and Instagram in my opinion. Also, most people put the same things on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat. So you really only need one or two social media outlets. Plus with the way media outlets shove info in our face there really is no point for social media anymore either. -

I had the same exact thought when I went to the park and saw that. I really enjoyed this park. The rides were good and the customer service was where I felt it needed to be. -
I love this park! It has come such a long way in the past 5 years. However, I am also partial because its my home park. If you can get past the ghetto guest and crappy staff its not a bad park at the heart of it. For being such a small park they have a lot of coasters. Superman is still the big hitter at the park - the typical guests still talk about it like its new. Silly guest never been to parks in other states lol Wild One is such a great coaster! Even after they butchered it when they put in the now defunct Skull Mountain. The double down and the helix are the best parts in my opinion. Roar is such a fun coaster. Yes, its kinda rough but I do not mind. For being the age it is the Mind Eraser still runs pretty well. If only they would get the trains the one in Wildwood has!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Batwing is a fun coaster when its running right and the line is not long due to one train operation and it breaking every five minutes. Their spinning mouse is not the best but its a fun family coaster that was desperately needed in this park. What could potentially help this park is finding and holding onto staff that actually wants to work there. I know its hard being right outside the bad parts of DC. Also, they need to fill a lot of the holes that have been created when taking out flats - we lost the Tilt A Whirl, Iron Eagle, Enterprise, Flying Bobs, Krypton Comet (Chaos), Octopus, and Skull Mountain (Apocalypses filled its place). They also should really do a over haul of the river rapids ride. I still ride it every year and it NEVER soaks me. Sometimes, I barely get wet at all. It needs waterfalls and things like that.

Please help TPR's Jack Crouse!
alilstronger replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just donated! I know it was not much but I wanted to give something. I have met the Crouse's on a couple TPR trips I did and they were always so friendly and welcoming. I hope everything works out for them and Jack recover's in no time. -
If its water park related for 2016 I'd LOVE to see Proslide be the company behind it. They make some awesome slides. Someone said they are not in tune with water park rides. Check out Proslides website. I wish we could get some of that technology. I WOULD love to see something like Wildebeast that Holiday World has - that ride is AMAZING!

Hey everyone! How are the crowds usually during the day during Fright Fest? I'm driving from Texas to Maryland in October i'd like to stop by the park since I have a season pass with season parking. I do not want to buy a Flash Pass if I do not need to. I'd mainly be going just to ride the coasters. I have heard the operations are terrible in this park. Thank you

You won't know about single train operations till the day of. I would have swore they would have been using two train operations when I was there about a month ago and they only used one for some coasters for the first couple hours. If you are that worried save money up for a Flash Pass. You can only use the Platinum Flash Pass for unlimited rides on Batman with no wait and you can pay $10 extra for the Gold Flash Pass to get one ride on Batman minus the line.

^ I agree with the use of rides in commercials for parks they are not even in. I do not like when parks have dirty ponds or bodies of water. It really does not take much to clean it up.

What is your next park?
alilstronger replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Frontier City in Oklahoma City on 7/27. It will be my first time there. -
Honest Fizz - I LOVE Honest Tea drinks but the soda was weird. Stevia takes a lot to get used to.

Mind Eraser does not bang me around much. Then again when I ride a ride I let my body fall where the ride wants it to do so I do not get hurt. This park only gets crowded in the water park and during Fright Fest. The rest of the year Flash Pass is usually rarely needed. Great trip report. This park has come along way since the early 2000's. I kinda miss this being my home park.

Today is amazing! Sucks it took this long, however it is awesome to be alive during this crazy/beautiful time in history.

Awesome trip report. This years HoliWood Nights was my first visit to Holiday World as well. This park is simply awesome! Legend easily became one of my all time favorite woodies, especially at night! The helix is my favorite part. The staff was AMAZING! A lot of them really got into the ERT sessions which I thought was awesome.

Can't wait until HWN. This will be my first visit to the park. -
I have not been here in forever it feels like! I work with young kids in CPS care and I LOVE it. I have a couple currently that are openly gay and I love that they talk to me about it. My boss told me she was glad she hired me because I can be a great resource for these kids, even the straight ones because I do not hide that part of me. All of my older ones know I have a partner and most of them ask about him. Its pretty awesome.
