  1. That is exactly what I told them. They have lots of land back there and if they built to the left of where the exit of Batwing is they could eventually attach a pathway from there to where the river rapids is. In my honest opinion if they want to get rid of a "major" ride I would take out the river rapids ride or at least improve it. It is one of the worst I have ever rode.
  2. I used to love them! It's the Girl - Bette Midler (giving her new covers album a chance on Spotify)
  3. I'll be heading to the park in about 3 weeks finally! My BF will be with me but he does not ride any rides so I am at it alone unless someone wants to meet up. El Loco looks awesome and I am excited they have a Chaos! I plan on buying the ride all day to get many rides on both coasters as well as rides all of the flats. Does anyone know if their Chaos requires two people to ride? I think I remember going to a carnival once and they said no single riders.
  4. SFA management was at Baltimore Pride a few years ago and I sat and talked to them for a bit. They have not added bathrooms back there because it has something to do with plumbing back there. This is also why no food stands have been built back there. They completely understand that the area is called Gotham City and Superman is back there. They completely acknowledged this looks bad on them as a park but they have to make due with what they have they said. They keep Batwing because yes it is a draw for them, they admitted it has issues and the operations are not up to par but its a money maker so they keep it. They also admitted that yes, they keep taking flats out but would not say if they are looking at bringing more unique. As we see they are slowly bringing in some with the addition of the flyers this year and the ring of fire next year. They kept stating their focus at the time was infrastructure within the employees and current park as it was. I ask them about Mind Eraser getting trains like the one in Jersey and they said at the time there were no plans to bring in new trains. Which makes sense - new trains cost a whole lot of money and we all know that SF Inc does not seem to like to spend too much on this park.
  5. I went to Fright Fest two weekends ago and I loved the low crowd level, even at night once Fright Fest was in full force. I guess going on Sundays is a good thing. Even then we still bought a Flash Pass because they do buy one person get one free on Flash Passes when you have a season pass so we only paid $70 for two people. The scares zones were done well and the make up over all was really good. We only went through Pitch Black and Fear House 3D. The rest did not look that appealing. Total Darkness was done really well and I was actually scared a few times in there. Fear House was themed extremely well and I jumped a couple times but but overall it was not that scary. I did not the point of people dressed as aliens in there when it was about a circus/fun house theme. The way Fear House is set up they could still operate Pandemonium in my opinion. I love that coaster. I am from Baltimore so I am used to going to parks during October and having to bundle up and wear many layers. It was nice going to a park in mid October in tshirts, shorts, and flip flops as well as see water rides open.
  6. Heaven Knows - Tessanne Chin
  7. I am having trouble just picking one. Knoebels Waldameer Santa Cruz Boardwalk
  8. ^ I've been out for going on 12 years this month. I will always remember being 17 and telling my mom I am gay. It felt so liberating to finally tell her and her accept that part of who I am.
  9. I'd love to participate again. Brandy did such a good job last year! Thank you for taking it on again.
  10. Man that sucks about Pandemonium being closed during Fright Fest.
  11. When I Think of You - Janet Jackson
  12. Even this park gets so much crap I will admit I kinda miss it. I miss living only 50 minutes from a major amusement park. The closest things to me now are Kemah and Pleasure Pier now. Granted, they are both nice and very well taken care of I miss having a large park nearby. Six Flags Fiesta Texas is about 3 hours away so I guess that is not too bad. This park is slowly being turned around. I remember when it was really bad years ago. I wish they would add more thrilling flat rides.
  13. The Choice by Nicholas Sparks
  14. People criticize too much. I think this will be a interesting addition to the park. The only bandwagon I will get on is the Ring of Fires Six Flags is adding and calling coasters.
  15. ^ Arrows at other parks are completely opposite. When I was at Kings Island Vortex had a two hour wait.
  16. I say they should add it between voodoo and zydeco. I have always said since this park was Adventure World they should put something there. This was it gives them more reason to put a walk way back to Gotham City.
  17. Black Widow - Iggy Azalea Feat. Rita Ora
  18. I miss you too David!
  19. This new coaster seems awesome! Now I will need to make a trip back to the east coast in the next few seasons.
  20. It could mean a fun house with a spinning tunnel or a dark ride along the lines of Whacky Shack at Waldameer.
  21. I just turn around and correct them. I know its bit*chy of me but I do it anyway.
  22. Really? I thought Lakemont was a hell hole but actually thought Skyliner was a smooth, fun ride. Maybe they recently re-tracked it? As far as Roar I think it has a cool layout but it's like riding a shopping cart with square wheels down a rocky cliff while holding a jackhammer. If they re-tracked it it would probably be a lot of fun... and with 7 minute dispatches and one train operation I would expect wear and tear to be minimal. I did not like how you hit the bottom of the hill so "hard". It hurt my back.
  23. Hersheypark? Like, the Hersheypark that's in Hershey Pennsylvania? That Hersheypark? Huh. Knoebels though, that I agree with. Even though I'm sure the median age of its employees is much higher than the average corporate park, even among the younger ops there's a consistent air of professionalism I don't see most other places. I would guess it's not just a matter of training or hiring standards, it's a sense of pride in your workplace and a solid understanding of what's expected of you (and of the consequences for not living up to those expectations) that has to start at the very highest level of management. An atmosphere of not caring is contagious, no matter who you've got working there. Have I had bad experiences at Hershey? Yes, I sure have but normally I have good experiences. Has it gone a little down hill over the years, yes it has. But no where near a Six Flags park.
  24. I am weird and LOVE Roar!! I would like them to re-track the entire thing or give it a Iron Rattler make over. I always made sure I rode it every time I went to this park when I lived in MD. I think there are way worse wooden coasters out there like Predator at Darien Lake, Wild Beast at Canada's Wonderland and Skyliner at Lakemont Park. I did not like any of them.
