  1. I know this isn't a request thread but I can help ya out sorta...for making a station similar to Dragster's, give STUK71's Hanger Set a try. It works well for the style Dragster has.
  2. ^You can always use a chain speed cheat or block brakes to create a secondary boost of speed. Beyond that, I don't think there are any ways to create a multi-launching coaster.
  3. The one time I actually attempt to post a song lyric on Facebook, and I get people messaging me saying they're worried about me and that I shouldn't be thinking that way. Oh Facebook. When will you ever learn?
  4. Note: As with most, this is just out of what I've been on. Intamin: Half Pipe (Elitch)-This thing is an evil little machine. I had such an unpleasant experience on it that it put out of commission the day I rode it for longer than the Volare, the SLC, TwisterII, and the Boomerang *combined*. GCI: Of the three I've been on, Apocalypse is probably my least favorite. Not because it's a bad ride or anything, but it simply doesn't measure up to the savageness of SFDK's Roar or (my #1) Thunderhead. B&M: Now, I really should be putting CGA's Vortex here, but I feel that this dubious honor really deserves to go to SFMM's Scream. Whereas Vortex is rather old, a standup, and...at CGA, Scream has absolutely no reason to have deteriorated as much as it has, especially considering how the other B&M's in the park and even the three-year-older floorless in the same state are so much...better. And its a pity too, as it started out as a really good ride, but has progressively become so unbearable that I've avoided it for several consecutive visits.
  5. Stompbox-The Qemists Anyone who's played a racing game in the past five years knows this one. Oh, and it happens to be really, really awesome as well.
  6. Normally I'd have something pony related, but I found this on TopGear's site and just had to have it.
  7. I absolutely love the National Treasure movies, despite their complete and total ignorance when it comes to the subject of American History (i.e. the entirety of what the two movies are based on). Also harbor a deep love for the live-action Grinch movie...you know, the one that's commonly bemoaned as one of the worst childhood-destroying movies of all time.
  8. I know that feel. I bought it full price two years ago at a friend's insistence and I still can't even begin to get it to cooperate.
  9. I can't believe that the second "Mysterious" coaster is also going to China...and also to another park with "Ocean" in their name. What are the chances?
  10. But with them having Power Tower, do you think they would add ANOTHER extreme drop ride? There are actually quite a few parks that have done just that. Liseberg, if I remember right, already had two separate S&S towers when they decided to convert their observation deck into AtmosFEAR. Hell, Cedar Fair just added Demon Drop to Dorney a few years ago, and they already had an S&S tower.
  11. *Raises hand...then raises other for emphasis* That would be absolutely awesome, and a perfectly sensible addition to their excellent flat-ride lineup. However, by this point, it seems that anything that isn't a coaster will really rustle the jimmies of GP and Enthusiasts alike.
  12. Those were the main thing I took out of that post. I want a set for my dorm.
  13. I'm not sure whether to find that funny or really, really disturbing. I'll go with both. In random news: I got confronted by a homeless guy on the LA subway on Sunday. Enjoyed a creeptastically awkward twenty minute conversation about where to buy cheap weed in the area, despite my repeated efforts to tell him that (A): I don't smoke weed and (B): I don't live in LA.
  14. I wish somebody would make something like that for some of the patch-jacket-self-appointed-engineer-park-management-booing-stereotypical ACE'rs. They're essentially the equivalent for Coaster Enthusiasts that some bronies (like the ones being pretty accurately satirized here) are for people who just enjoy the show: both irritating/scary as hell. Quick Edit: Not implying that any ACER, even at maximum pathetic level, could top some from the far fringes of the brony fandom...because I'd be outright lying if I even remotely implied that.
  15. Best: Space Mountain DL-I love how, unlike most rides, it just keeps getting faster and faster until the brakes. The last few turns are insane when experienced in the back row! Desperado-Terrible ride, but I love the enclosed helix and the quick duck under the old monorail bridge. Mystery Mine-Everything past the second lift is heavenly. Flight Deck (CGA)-Dat helix. Goldrusher at SFMM for similar reasons. Worst: Apocalypse-Textbook definition of how to craft a lame ending. Completely loses all of its steam and just meanders back to the station. Mummy (USH)-Whoa, cool turntable element! I wonder what's...oh...nothing.
  16. Huh, so I wasn't the only one that noticed any of the that. But yeah, it was bizarre, and even more bizarre was the fact that, where I was (tiny town on the I-15 on the way between California and Vegas) I was the only one who seemed to notice that anything was going on. Most people were just going about their day like nothing was happening.
