  1. That sounds terrifying and absolutely awesome, both in equal measure.
  2. Timeline is a pretty big switch compared to most. Honestly, what irritates me is this: Who the hell ever complained about the old Facebook walls? What on earth was wrong with them? They were simple to read, easy to use, and very well organized in a chronological fashion. Timeline, imo, is none of those things. I know it's insignificant in the scheme of things, but the whole change to Timeline really does bother me.
  3. I've seen a bit of the synchro diving and some swimming, but most of that was just short glimpses from the TV in the dining room at work when business was slow. I'm more of a Winter Olympics guy anyway. More of the sports and athletes that I follow participate there.
  4. It's getting harder. FB keeps throwing more and more "suggestions" of Timeline every day. But I shall keep fighting the good fight to keep my page in its correct format!
  5. If you never accept the offers to "try" it, it won't kick you over to it. I'm still free of Timeline as well, rather thankfully.
  6. Sadly, AirCoaster is still the only decent theme park related game on the iPhone. I suspect that, with the advent of all the blazingly stupid "Farmville-esque" strategy games on phones, we'll never see a proper theme park game, and even if RCT in some variation makes the jump to iDevices, it'll be neutered with "Coaster Bux" or some such hideous nonsense.
  7. Happened to have this lying around on my desktop, figured I might as well throw it in here since it's been a while. Me at the opening of Terminal 3 at McCarran Airport in Vegas. Back when I had my (minor) goatee going on.
  8. Frontier Psychiatrist-The Avalanches This song is so damn weird. But it has such a good groove.
  9. While the above poster is correct, the speed a block slows the train to is dependent on the speed at which the train hits the block. If it happens to be going...28 or above if I remember correctly, the block only trims the speed down to 16 mph, as opposed to the agonizingly slow 4 mph you'll usually get. But will it stop the train in the event of 2 trains entering the same block? I guess that's not too hard to find out for myself... Usually should. I've had a Giga running continuously for 60 in-game years with a 16mph midcourse block and it's never crashed.
  10. Granted, but you're trapped in a part of Aperture with no white walls or white gel. I wish this wish would not be corrupted by the poster below me.

  12. Thanks for posting these! I love seeing retro park photos, especially early ones from DL!
  13. Maybe I'm crazy, but does it look like there's a strange contortion in Wild Eagle's lift stairs to anyone else? About halfway up, it completely changes its angle, even though the track itself is straight. Other than that, good to see that they updated it. It's really irritating when I'm trying to show the layout of a park to someone on Google Earth and have to use an aerial photo from more than eight years ago (the reason for why that happens is completely understandable, but still really annoying all the same.)
  14. Regardless of its probability of becoming true, I like this line of thinking. Very, very much.
  15. My laptop was seconds from exiting my home via the second-story-window thanks to that mission. Blind luck (and hours of pointless trying) finally led me to beat it, but not before a considerable amount of raging. In other news, my very heavily Christian brother-in-law has taken up a new game: Ask me a heavily loaded and needlessly obtuse question about my atheistic beliefs, let me do my best to put things as non-offensively as possible (in a ten second time frame, usually), then proceed to look smug when my answer didn't meet his lofty expectations. It's beyond frustrating, especially cons
  16. That's more or less the intention, kinda like AJ's color palate swaps for his Pokemon trainer avatar. I like to keep it fresh, mostly for my own amusement.
  17. Not really, seems like Ellisa's just trying to get some stuff sold...and knows exactly who on this site might want it. Personally, I'm quite pleased they'd be thoughtful enough to ask around here first. Besides, this site really doesn't need a thread for the show. If anyone wants to do more than a few random, passing mentions of the show, or actually wants to seriously discuss it at all, well, that's what PMs and show-dedicated sites are for, just like any other offshoot topic here.
  18. Yep. Legend of Korra ftw. Considering how much of an Avatard I was back in 2008, it's really rather pathetic that I *still* haven't seen any of Korra yet.
