Photo TR: Robb, Elissa, and TPR in Florida!!!
Slacking replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Nice pics all! Their Swamp Thing is MILES better than the one at Cypress Gardens! Also, IMO Cheetah is almost worth missing. It was absolutely painful, I would ride the SLC over Cheetah anyday! -
I know she was very much in the background, but Mrs. Crabtree the bus driver was one of my favorite characters (behind Butters of course.....)

I was at BGT for a bit today too. Really just walked around the park while wasting free time I had in between my two jobs. But, I've been impressed by BGT's park operations the last few times I have visited. I definitely noticed how efficient everything was in November, and have been impressed ever since. BGT is going a very good job with park operations. I wish I could say the same about IOA/USF the alst few times I've visited them. -
Tetris DS is a great idea, and a great game. Haven't touched much of it, but I love the 6 different modes and enjoyed the WiFi mode, the little I dabbled with it. But my favorite part of the game is the old school NES skins, graphics, and music (Balloon Fight theme!!!). I'm a sucker for the NES. I'll post my Friend Code later when my DS is in front of me. I got Metroid too, but haven't played it yet.

Seems like everybody in Florida was there but me! Looks like you all had (or are having) fun here in FL! -
Avatar/Photochop Contest! VOTING TIME!
Slacking replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ok, I'm not a Chopper at all. Basically all I can do is take a picture and add text to it. Big Whoop! Anyways, thats what I did here. This addition will attract a whole new audience to Holyland! Ever since the miraculous new Drinking Fountain was installed, violent incidents in the park mysteriously quadrupled. -

I would almost rather my local park get CatCF than a coaster. If done right it sounds like it could be great. -
Bad Experience/GOOD NEWS

Not to sound like a broken record, but I am pretty sure this is Mack. I think there was speculation on this awhile back, but I remember reading guesses that this may be the Mack powered-ride Screamscape teased about a few months back. -
The upsets are what make the NCAA Tourney so exciting. I'm lovin' it!

Arizona will lose to Villanova, but go Cats! Edit: Uhhh.... on closer inspection I see that they're both the Wildcats. So, go AZ Cats! Double Edit: WTG Bradley and George Mason! Interesting day today. It would be nice for 'zona to cap it all off with a win.................

Nice Pics! I spent 4 years down in Tucson (for school). Sometimes I miss it, sometimes I don't. It was definitely cool seeing some pictures of it though.

Some good games today!

The end of the Iowa game was insane. Also.... Yay Arizona!!! Too bad Villanova will kick their asses on Sunday.

I got some B-Day Money to spend so I'll definitely get Tetris next week, and MAYBE Metroid (was not a fan of the demo) -

I loved Eternal Darkness. Very creepy game! I'm usually not a fan of those types of games, but ED totally engrossed me. -

Oh, don't they WILL bring out the right games, Super Smash Bros 3, Metroid Prime, Zelda, the classic nintendo titles, incuding a new Mario supposedly called "Mario 128". Those games will be great, but the key to Revolution's survival will be third-party developers, something they have had trouble with since the N64. Slacking...is there an echo in here??? Its been a couple days since I read the thread, forgot you posted that! But..... it goes to show that it is a major hurdle Nintendo has to deal with. Hopefully they can get a lot of developers to support the system. I loved the Gamecube, it just didn't get that many third-party exclusives (and then some of them like Monkey Ball, RE4, and Viewtiful Joe ended up on other systems) -

Out of the 3 "next gen" consoles, the only one I would even think about purchasing is the Revolution. For me, I always prefer my video games to be on the fun side. I like to have fun when playing my games. I feel that a majority of the Ninotendo-produced games do this for me. Games like Smash bros., The WarioWare series, Mario Kart Series, and Animal Crossing all deliver in this sense. I wouldn't necessarily call myself a fan boy, but I did grow up on Nintendo (got the NES on my 9th b-day and have purchased all following systems, even have the um.... Virtual Boy, lol- purchased it for like 15 bucks back at the end of its short lives shelf-life) and can see myself continuing to purachse their systems. I love the DS and to me, the Revolution sounds like it'll be another fun system. -
Might as well put UCLA in red. They are kicking Arizona's butt!

I'm not the biggest sports fan, but I sometimes do get into the NCAA tourney. Mainly because I was a member of my school's pep band my junior and senior year and was able to attend a couple tournament games back in 2002. When it comes to the Tournament, I mainly root for my school (Arizona), but I want all Pac-10 schools to do well. Arizona has had an off year, but it looks like they'll (hopefully) make it into the tourney this year (They've got a loooong streak going, and it would stink if that streak ended now). But, they did beat stanford in the quarter-finals of the Pac-10 tourney. They're playing UCLA tonight, which will be a tough battle, but should be a good game to watch.

I just saw the Slice One Flavors for the first time tonight! I bought the Berry and the Grape. Haven't tried the Berry, but the Grape is surprisingly good.

When I lived in Seattle a couple years back, one supermarket chain carried Shasta, and every once in awhile it was on sale for $1.25 a 12-pack. It was awesome.
-
Its a Tab energy drink. It has nothing to do with the soda except for the name, and I think they're trying to target women. I saw it this past week, but haven't tried it. As for the Vault/Surge/Mello Yello topic. I think Vault is clsoer to Surge than MY. Especially when Vault becomes a bit flat, its very close (to me at least) to Surge.
-
Heck no! We have Jones all over here in northern Ohio... I love jones. I also loved Surge so Im anxious for Vaults appearance up here. Vault isn't up there yet? I was under the impression it was pretty much nationwide by now. If you don't have it yet, by Mid-March I'm sure you'll have it. I prefer Surge, but Vault is a good substitute. Ooh, that reminds me of another soda I need to add to my list of missed sodas (with Pepsi Blue, Surge, and Crystal Pepsi), dnL!
