  1. I doubt you'll see this in time, but hope you enjoy HOS tonight. I'll be in After Hours waiting to scare guests. BTW, I saw Robosaurus at 9:15pm at HHN last night. Not spectacular, but a fun diversion.
  2. Yup! I have to direct people into the paddy wagon, but I can get great scares at the same time. Some people absolutely don't want to go up the steps into the truck, it's pretty funny.
  3. I like to call Cheetah Chase "Cheetah Crawl" when they brake you heavily. As for After Hours, no clubbing for me, but I am in the outside scene as one of the officers.
  4. Wild Maus? It'll always be Wild Izzy (*shudder*) to me! Glad you enjoyed HOS! Crowds were so sparse Thursday night, it was a perfect night to go. Nice to see After Hours towards the top of your list.
  5. I went last year...... I'll never go back.
  6. Looking foward to finally attending this year's event this coming Sunday! I'll be w/ my brother and he'll have no day admission, so I can't Stay and scream, does anyone know if they open the gates promptly at 6:30, or if they open it slightly early?
  7. A friend who attended the event last night told me that they were using the overflow lawn parking lot near Adventure Island, which is insane.
  8. Unless it is a Saturday, I would advise to save money and not by the coupon booklets. Usually, the lines aren't too bad.
  9. I was amazed how crowded it was last night. And my last shift on set was insane due to guest behavior. I heard that After Hours and trapped both had 2-2 1/2 hour waits at one point last night. Saturdays are usually the only bad night. Friday's are busy, but not insane like Saturdays are. Thursdays and Sundays are quite empty. The scarezones always close an hour before closing, and I believe that is listed on the map.
  10. It may not have been as busy as HHN, but there were crowds last night. I was told that the wait for After hours at one point in the night was between 90-120 minutes! Glad you liked the event, and especially After Hours, it's definitely a blast to work. Oh, and one possibly correction. I don't know whther 3rd dementia has one or not, but I'm pretty sure the floating head room is in After Hours.
  11. Have fun at HOS. Make sure you visit Club Muse.
  12. "It gets better and better every time!" "No. No it doesn't." Remember that? I hate you. and I hate Disorientorium. Atleast none of the houses this year are as hot and miserable as stupid Diso was. But it did get better.......... I swear! I miss Diso, and Cold Blind Terror was awful, so I hopePsychopath is good. AHHHH! I want to go to HHN but I can't until the 8th due to working HOS.
  13. Seems like PUTS has already become the overwhelingly least favorite house. Jimemo..... two of your least favorites (Psychopath and DoT) are two of my most anticipated! Of course I am a sucker for disorientorium style houses.........
  14. Great report! I really enjoy seeing reports and pictures of Williamsburg's HOS after having experience with Tampa's event. I defintiely would like to experience it one of these days.
  15. Yay After Hours! (which will be my home this coming HOS) Nice pics! I am so ready for HOS to begin............
  16. PUTS is probably my least anticipated house this year, and it has nothing to do with it's name. I could not stand the technology Terror Mines used last year (I disliked the fact that the scareactors seemed to primarily target the hat-wearer and that the design team seemed to skimp on the design (do all mines consist of burlap sack walls and ropes hanging down?)) Since PUTS uses the same technology, I'm not really looking foward to it. I won't be able to go until the 8th (pesky HOS), so it'll be really hard not to spoil the houses for myself before I go, but I know I'm gonna give into temptation.
  17. I'm not too sure, but wouldn't be surprised if the bus was part of Fright Yard.
  18. Everytime I drive past AI while the park is open, Key West Rapids always seems to be closed. I was at BGT about 90 minutes before park close (for HOS rehearsal), and Scorpion had a line, and Kumba looked like a 10 or so minute wait, so it did seem like it was a busy day there.
  19. Awesome pics! I did Great Escape and Rye Playland the same day a couple months back. I had fairly high expectations for Great Escape and fairly low expectations for Playland. I came away disliking Great Escape quite a bit, but I absolutely fell in love with Rye. Sure, it is quite ghetto, but The Dragon Coaster is quite fun, and I fell in love with their dark rides. Would definitely recommend this park to anyone.
  20. I never saw the HOS questions answered, so I'll go ahead and do that. Even though 5 out of 6 houses from last year are returning, HOS always try to offer somewhat different experiences to the returning houses. They try to tweak each house a bit and usually results in a better experience. They also seem to really be pushing After Hours this year, so I wouldn't be surprised if that house will receive more attention than the other returners. As the event starts and I experience the houses, I can tell you whether or not the houses have changed much if at all. thefitness..... nice pics. Wondering though, have you been to HOS at all? I know most people seem to prefer HHN and HOS is a bit overlooked, but honestly, there isn't that huge of a difference. Budget may be greater for HHN, but imo, HOS's houses are just as good, if not better than HHN's. (I've only been to HHN the last two years though, and those seem to be looked at as lesser event years). I definitely recommend trying both events, you may be surprised by HOS.
  21. Woohoo! I absolute love Futurama, this is great news. But, is this in addition to the DVD-movies or is this new announcement a replacement for the movies. Also...... The Critic may be my favorite animated show.
  22. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................................ I made it into one of Erik's pics. (Not the biggest fan of having to look at pictures of myself especially when caught off guard, lol.) In other Resort news, I was surprised how big those inflatable spheres are, New Beetlejuice show > the last one, and Individual Lap Bars and no seat bets on MIB > seatbelts and row-long lap bars.
  23. Yeah, JP made me a happy camper. I didn't notice the care towards the quque or the grounds underneath the coaster, but glad to hear they put 3 trains on each track. One thing that bugs me is that even on obvious busy days, they only start with 1 train on each track. Its a pan in the butt having to wait longer than you know you have too. At least the 3-train operation explains the 10-minute posted wait time.
  24. Yeah, the event was from 7am-9am, with all of Seuss Landing open. But, they also were running The Trolleys for the public during the morning hours (I rode it again around 10:30), not sure when they shut the soft open down though. DD looked nice. Not as WOW! as when I first saw repainted Kumba, but DD definitely looks much better than it did before being repainted. I also have to say that JPRA was probably in the best shape I've seen it in in a long time.
  25. Slightly annoying? That is an understatement!!! I thoguht I heard that each side had 2 different narrations, but maybe not as you got the same 2 I did. I got the annoying sound one (woo woo woo woo, bee bee bee beeee, ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) both time I rode the teal track. I do agree, purple track is better, teal spends too much time inside of Circus McGurkus. I thought the Sneetch story kind of got lost in translation. Overall, the ride was ok (annoying audio loses points for it) Erik, I saw you in Seuss Landing around 4:30pm today, looks like you were walking quite quickly and saw you get a quick shot (this was near Caro-Seuss-el), and I was on my way out, so I didn't bother you. The ride was closed around that time of day, so I hope you got a ride in somehow.
