  1. This'll sound like I am incapable of anything, but I can't even beat Diddy Kong. sadly, I have been trying for 6-7 weeks now and just can't do it.
  2. I'll be clubbing it again this year at HOS. Still in After Hours, but am no longer a police officer like I was last year, woohoo!!! Will be the final scare of the house, and I get a little toy to play with, hehehehe CYB and ToB sound amazing, its a shame I won't be able to check them out.
  3. And on a Saturday, I can see it being quite crowded (beside the fact that it was chilly, and the Ren. Fair nearby looked quite crowded too). Usually when it is crowded, BGT's operations are quite good. It's the mid-week slow days where they seem to be really lazy and run nowhere near capacity.
  4. For the last year plus, I have avoided riding Gwazi, I hate hassling with the short seat belts, plus the loading is so slow and painful. BUT, I have now ridden it twice in the last two months, and enjoyed riding it much more than I remembered, I think its a fun woodie. I love GCI's twisted creations, but even then, Gwazi may be my least favorite coaster of theirs I have ridden. It doesn't need to be retracked, but I could definitely agree with new trains (hasn't that been rumored forever?)
  5. Nice Pics! You would think that for a park I live across the street from, I would visit more often. Haven't ridden Montu since it reopened, but have driven past it a few times, I am super impressed by the paint job. Both Montu and Kumba are looking fantastic these days. I've seen both the giraffe (maybe I've only seen the giraffe costume backstage while being fitted for Howl-O-Scream, not sure) and koala characters before. But, I have never seen the koala as a pirate, I've only seen him in outback-type clothing. I believe there is also a female hippo character (once again, could be completely wrong on this).
  6. I agree, the Everybody Votes Channel is great. Pleasant surprise too, definitely was not expecting that to be released. My only complaint was that I wish the polls are daily, but that is fairly minor for me. All the channels are great, I love turning my Wii on daily and checking the weather, news, etc.. As for Wii Play, it really should have been a launch title. It's goal is pretty much to acquaint nongamers with the Wii Remote. Very simple gameplay, that isn't very deep at all. That said, a handful of the games are quite fun, but it definitely isn't a game you'll be picking up to play again several months from now (And I love me my fun "short burst" games like Wii sports, Warioware, etc.). I'm glad I picked it up (needed another remote, and is fun for what it sets out to do), and would not be surprised if fairly soon copies will pop up on EBay w/o the remote for fairly cheap.
  7. I liked the Prestige (I can see though how it doesn't hold up well on a second viewing), but am looking foward to The Illusionist when it is released this week on DVD.
  8. As a former UofA student, I just have to comment on a couple things. 1- The Ostrich Farm is THE highlight of the drive between Tucson and Phoenix. 2- Bum-proof pool? (or whatever your exact words were.) LMAO! One thing I do not miss about Tucson is walking down the streets and being harassed for change what seemed like every 5 feet or so. 3- ASU does indeed suck.
  9. Elebits is lots of fun, BUT..... I CANNOT wait until Warioware comes out.
  10. I'm so bitter! I just read it was open over at Screamscape. I was there on 12/30, and was only in the Egypt area in the morning (but did eat at Crown Colony around 12:30pm) and had no diea it might be open. Now, I know it is regarded as a poor ride, but I've never ridden it and would have liked the chance.
  11. There is a lot I want to see but haven't been able to, so based on what I have seen here are my top movies in no particular order: Dreamgirls Little Miss Sunshine Borat Monster House (no, really it's fantastic) Akeelah and the Bee Thank You For Smoking Slither
  12. Brawl will not be the first Wi-Fi enabled Wii game. It sounds like the Pokemon title (not sure of the title) will be the first Wi-Fi game. It's funny, for the first month the Wii was out I could not find any classic controllers at all. I've now seen them three different places in the last week and a half. I like it, I'm just disappointed that I can't use it to play Metal Slug Anthology (which has a gamecube controller option, but not one for the classic.)
  13. Woohoo, I finally beat Rayman! (had it since launch, but only played a couple "days" every week or so) There was only 1 mini-game I left unbeaten. I think it was called Bunnies Don't Like Bats Part 2 (the one where the rabbid steals the pigs you collected). Definitely a fun game though.
  14. My guess is that Vivi's is still standing due to being a break area for staff. Not sure if they're using it still or not, but it does look kind of odd being the only building still standing. I was shocked when I saw the site yesterday, but expecting it to be pretty much all cleared out already. It'll be fun to watch how HOS adapts to the construction this year (no Restless death?)
  15. Extra remotes- $40, extra nunchuks- $20. If you get a Wii, unplug your Gamecube, you won't need it as the Wii plays GC games. And the controller question in the next post, the Wii has outlets for your Gamecube controllers, so that is what you play your GC games with.
  16. Happy Feet 4/10 I love family/children's movies, but just could not get into this movie at all. I thought the plot was quite lame, and I found myself disliking the characters. Not a fan at all, but better than....... Lady in the Water 1/10 Wow...... and I thought the Village was bad. A mish-mash of random characters with quirks and a combination of a lame fairy tale with goofy sounding names lead to a movie that was actually painful for me to watch. Just awful.
  17. Wow, really? Because i have Wii Play! It came with one of the extra controllers i got along with the Wii for my Birthday! I have $100 of EB vouchers. Does anyone know any good games i can buy? North America is the only region where Wii Play wasn't a launch title. I played Wii Shooting at my local mall though, and it was a blast!
  18. I can't wait until Warioware next month! I love that whole series, and the Wii version looks like it won't disappoint! It looks like it'll have the usual 200 or so microgames. As usual, there will also be a few more fleshed out minigames, but not sure how many there will be (but I have seen screen shots of a 3rd person Balloon Fight-type game!)
  19. I had to reply with an equally "special" message, unfortunately, I may have first sent a blank message, couldn't find a way to unsend it though. Next couple days, I'll add the names I am missing, I've slacked off the last few weeks in adding Wii friends. Edit: I had time tonight, so I'm officially up-to-date on friend codes.
  20. Wow. I just can't believe that people still have to camp out to get a Wii. I was hoping Nintendo was going to have a successful/popular console with the Wii, but am still flabbergasted by the popularity of it this season. Yay Nintendo! Also, it makes me glad I preordered back in October, I don't have the patience to wait outside of a store overnight.
  21. I believe Wii launched in Mexico the same day it launched in the USA and Canada, but I could be wrong. The Wii is $250 American, not sure what they're charging down in Mexico. Comes with 1 remote, 1 nunchuk, and a copy of Wii sports. In America, extra remotes are $40 and nunchuks are $20, most games are $50. You do not need a classic controller. I recommend any of Zelda, Monkey Ball, and Elebits (am also enjoying Rayman and Marvel)
  22. That does suck. If an item is past it's street date there seems to be no reason to keep them (at least all of them) hidden away for a week or so. And they're treating it like a launch all over again? Is that company wide? That's kinda ridiculous.
  23. That was pretty much my reaction to the coaster. I laughed the whole time through. I love cheesy stuff, and this coaster definitely delivered. Was it a good ride coaster-wise? Not really, but it is fairly entertaining. Ooh, I hope Sports Plus doesn't close down. The summer camp I work at (go up to LI every summer) goes bowling there a bit. And I'd rather take kids bowling than to the beach.
  24. I don't think I've seen a Robb Mii, but I believe I may have seen an Elissa Mii floating around in my parade.
  25. Is that WSJ article for real? Geesh! That's ridiculous! Yeah, my arm was sore, and I'll take that I'm an out of shape blob, but that is my problem, not Nintendo's. About the graphics, remember that these are also first-gen games (and Zelda is pretty much a GC game) for the Wii and would not be surprised to see improved graphics as more games come out.
