I'm going to Scarywood this year, instead of Wild Waves' Fright Fest. Highlights include backwards Timber Terror, several Halloween themed mazes (including one through Thunder Canyon's channel) and several themed entertainers. I hear from a friend that Aftershock won't be open due to problems related to the cold, but I'm hopeful that during the earlier hours of the event it should be open.

I was concerned about this when the initial talk about the backwards cars started, but now that I look and think a little more about the forces, they aren't as bad as I thought. S:TE's launch and brakes weren't very intense to begin with, and they wouldn't be very uncomfortable. If they were much more intense, and if they were just with lap bars, they'd be worse. But these new OTSRs probably make it a little less bad.

Wow! I think about how Kingda Ka sounds and looks when it launches, and then I watch this. And then I wet myself thinking about how amazing that launch will be. And to whoever thinks this looks sped up, it's NOT! Kingda Ka looks like it's going pretty darn fast when it begins its crest. If it had a short little hill instead of a 456ft tower, it'd probably look that fast (and look like it generates that much airtime! )

I also agree that it would be a good idea to bring a few Arrow rides back. I really think that if Larsen did decide to bring Arrow rides back, they could be successful again. Among those rides that should be brought back (IMO) are the Megalooper, Suspended coaster, the 'slightly banked' Wild Mouse, log flume, and the never-built Pipeline coaster. -

^Are you being sarcastic or are you being serious? If you're being serious, it sorta had problems and just didn't catch on... until S&S revived it with Powder Keg. Even then it still didn't manage to catch on, with Intamin making more reliable and faster launched coasters. EDIT: Maybe Larsen can revive the Sky Sling? Highly doubt it, but still, I think it might be a cool idea. V I never really got a chance to ride an original one. I really think they should bring back the old seats and add them to the already existing rides. Forgive me for getting off topic a little bit, but which mode was best? -
I feel bad for Intamin cable. He's getting blamed for everything now. Wow, this is a very strange incident. I can't believe this ride doesn't have anti-rollback fins or some other similar device! Maybe Zamperla never expected this kind of incident to happen? Even so, wouldn't it be smart to have them anyways? This is all very weird...

Judging on the theming, I wouldn't be surprised if it was placed somewhere in or near the Sky themed area. However, as the description goes, it would probably be placed a little bit further back... I think the most logical places to put it would be either the small bit of land between Kong and Boomerang or, as mentioned before, somewhere near the Skycoaster. Both places seem to have a small amount of space for a Star Flyer, though.....

The B&M X-coaster is finally alive! -
^Same here. If only I could make it to BAB next year... I agree that this is a great addition! It goes without saying it will fit the Sky part of the park very well. I'm glad SFDK is finally taking advantage of the height they have to work with. I actually think this 'mini-Star Flyer' is a great idea because it's a bit shorter than the average Star Flyer, and might not be as much of an adrenaline rush. Not good for enthusiasts or thrillseekers, but it'll definitely attract more people who aren't quite ready to tackle a full-height Star Flyer.

I'm actually sad and exited at the same time to hear this. Stan really made the company what it is today, and I'm sad that he's leaving. But still, with new people, maybe the company can become better and make even better rides. -

Voted. Good luck! -
I'm going to Silverwood for Halloween, New York City for Thanksgiving, and the Great Wolf Lodge for Christmas!

^You're probably getting on her nerves even more by being repetative and constant in your asking. Maybe if you become an established member she'll change it for you. EDIT: And actually, it's pretty hilarious.

^^^Oh wow, now that I notice it, that's a good name! ^^I'm going on the 21st to see Adam Lambert with my mom. But I won't be able to go tomorrow. Sorry. ^$2 Ride Day? I've never heard of that. The only major ride deal I know of is the Comcast Dizzy Pass wristband, where you pay $25 for a wristband for unlimited midway and Sillyville rides, excluding Extreme Scream.
