Photo TR: Magic World Italy
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to Six Flags Enthuseast's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Part 2. As you make your way around the park, you'll notice a very unusual mix of theming... ...and names. Dumbo ripoff. Adventure Land. Aladdin. Ride sign spells it differently, though. Back to Adventure Land. Or Rodeo? WTF IS IT CALLED?!? Balloon people and clowns retreating for the break room. And now, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for something slightly disturbing... It's a train ride called Rio Grande, but that's not the worst thing... Cheesy American theming?... Not yet... It's when they get to Native Americans that they really screw up! Shoe: The Ride! Once again, time is keeping me from posting more. I'll post Part 3 tomorrow. -
The Boomerang Challenge
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to downunder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've only ridden Boomerang: Coast To Coaster at SFDK. Actually, my parents have been on more than I have, since I skipped out on the one at SFFT. -
Sorry it's taken so long for me to get the pictures of this place on TPR; my computer's been a pain in the for the last month. Magic World is a small theme park located near Naples, Italy. It's one of the largest theme parks in the Campania region, drawing the audience that can't go to faraway parks like Mirabalandia or Gardaland. With a decent selection of flat rides and thrill rides, 3 small roller coasters, interesting food (including the famous Nutella crepes!), and not-quite-as-cheesy-as-the-park-name-makes-it-sound theming, Magic World is a good family park with some thrill factor. I'll let the photos do the talking. Parking costs? It all depends on if the guy is there or not! Skyline doesn't look too promising... The admission system to this park is slightly unusual: It's not a 'pay one price, enjoy all attractions' system, nor is it a 'get in free, buy tickets' system. You pay 4 Euros for admission, but need to pay an extra 10 Euros for an unlimited ride band. If you'd just like to come into the park, it only costs 4 Euros, but if you want to do any rides (other than those on the list), you need to pay the full 14 Euros. After you walk through the entrance, you're immediately greeted by Mr. Genie and the park's Zamperla mini-tower. I look excited now, but I'm sad to say it had even less airtime than an S&S Frog Hopper. "Yeah! Napoli just scored a goal - Oh, I didn't notice you there. Welcome to Magic World!" The waterpark, which isn't open now. Map of this side of the park. Ferris Wheel. Magic Shop, where the employees are talking on their cell phones! Do I spy... a Wacky Worm? New coaster! W00T! Some random flat rides. yeeahh!! Indeed, it is a Wacky Worm. Not sad and pathetic enough to ride it, though. Part 2 to come tomorrow!

I finally completed my entry. My entry for this contest is called the Giant. Inspired by the coaster of the same name included in No Limits, the Giant is a B&M Hyper coaster with intense positive, negative, and lateral forces, several large hills, and a 5,840 ft long layout. It has 3 trains for efficient operation and a yellow and red paint scheme (yellow track, red rails and supports). Are you ready to conquer the Giant? Here's the link to the download, and I posted a link on Facebook. The download comes with the transfer house, station, queue, exit path, catwalks, and entrance plaza. SCR19.BMP The entrance, queue path, and station. SCR20.BMP Most of the ride layout. SCR23.BMP The turnaround not visible in the last picture. SCR22.BMP The MCBR and the turn shortly after it. (And the little red thingy, that's from the screenshot I took before it) SCR26.BMP A closer look at the transfer house and brake section. SCR28.BMP Stats.

Gröna Lund Discussion Thread

This ride proves that a woodie doesn't need to be very tall, very fast, or very long to be very good! Happy happy joy joy! Happy happy joy joy! *Dances like an idiot* I counted 4 coasters and 6 layers of track. -
Even when I finally get to ride S:EFK, I'll still rank TTD and Xcelerator higher because of their launches. S:EFK is a major improvement, and I'm glad SFMM invested some money into it to make it so much better, but I still don't think it can beat most Intamin Rocket coasters... Which reminds me that I still need to get to Mirabalandia and ride iSpeed.

Great photos! Not the biggest of the B&M Dive coasters, but it's nicely themed and fits into the park well. Finally, another 6 seater one, so I can recreate it in RCT2. -
Awww man. I missed the deadline by just a few hours. I'll still showcase mine, since I worked so hard. My coaster is The Beast, a GCI Woodie with 2 12-car Millennium Flyer style articulated trains. It features a simple station, transfer house, supports, and even a tunnel! SCR9.BMP Here's the ride! SCR10.BMP TAKE THE TUNNNNEEELLLLL!!! SCR11.BMP The supports are pretty simple, but they keep the ride from being too flat. SCR12.BMP The stats, as well as the transfer house and lift hill. SCR13.BMP The station and the gift shop. SCR14.BMP And that's The Beast! Perhaps I should save it for another contest?

Gardaland / Raptor
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to Schwarzkopf's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great review! I hope I'll be able to fit, because I have somewhat large legs. I've fit on other B&Ms with no problem, but the short belts may cause some trouble. It's good to know that it's not as exciting as it looks; I wasn't expecting a super-intense-blackout-machine, but I guess a 'constant speed of 30 MPH' doesn't even get it into any class of intensity. Even so, I still think it looks and sounds alright, and I'm glad Gardaland managed to get another unique ride to put it on the map! -
Wow... I'm astonished by all of this! If I become better at moving files with RCT3, I'll definitely download these! I'm especially interested in the Space Diver, Giga Coaster, Inverted coaster, Prefab, S:EFK, ToT, Zac Spin, and the various Accelerator coaster trains! I can't wait to see the final products of these!

Man, this ride looks amazing! The theming is great and the ride looks pretty fun to ride! The teen center at the Navy base is going on a trip there in May, so hopefully I'll be able to join in. I can't wait to ride this thing!
