  1. I doubt CF will bother, as they aren't made by Vekoma anyways. Some company in Europe makes them, if I remember correctly.
  2. Also, it's a shuttle coaster, so it goes through the track twice, thus counting as two credits. Two Tracks=Two Credits Fast Launch=Two More Credits Sunny Day=Two More Credits Rainy Day=Two More Credits Shuttle=Two More Credits So really, you can score up to ten credits on Superman The Escape.
  3. From what I understand, a Jeff Johnson credit is basically anything that is debatable whether it's a credit or not, like a train. I'm pretty sure Jeff Johnson counts almost anything as a credit, and many jokes have been made about how he counts different seats as credits. Kind of reminds me of Chuck Norris jokes. Anyways, don't take my word for it, I'm not super educated in the ways of TPR jokes.
  4. The Wild Thing at Wild Waves, it has three inversions (Loop, double corkscrew) I don't exactly live in an area with lots of amusement parks :/
  5. Wooden coasters, IMO, give the most airtime. Coaster at Playland Vancouver is a perfect example.
  6. Playland is my home park and I disagree with that. Sure, it's not the park with the best landscaping, but it has other quality rides. For example, some of the bigger rides are a HUSS Top Spin, HUSS Frisbee, S&S Air Launched Tower, a SkyCoaster, and one of those huge rotating arms with seats on either end. The park also has some classic rides like the Pirate, Music Express, and a Log Flume. Playland isn't the biggest park out there, but it has more to offer than just the Coaster.
  7. I'm guessing either "Amnesia: The Experience" or "Ambulance: The Ride". In all seriousness, I actually think they'll use the highly original name "Boomerang".
  8. Nice TR, I was there about a week ago. I agree that the Kang a Bounce is a must ride, it's actually really fun. The only thing I don't like is how the restraint literally crushes you. I didn't ride the Disko when I was there because I get motion sick easily, but now I kind of wish I had tried it.
  9. There are several programs out there that can resize pictures, such as Paint or Paint.NET (which is my recommendation for anything graphics/pictures). I can't think of any programs that can resize or convert multiple pictures, but a quick google search should get some results.
  10. Heh, funny you should mention it, I was just there a couple days ago, but I can't be bothered to write a trip report. And just so you know, the park is no longer Six Flags Enchanted Village, it's now just Wild Waves Theme Park. The woodie is called Timberhawk: Ride of Prey, and the Wild Thing is not 70s, but rather mid 80s. The park also has a fun Wild Mouse and has a fun giant flume that soaks you, but you probably know that already. The water park also has a cool new attraction (Zooma Falls) as well as a huge water playground for kids. Here's some pictures I took while I was there:
  11. Well, I'm not exactly a coin collecter, but I have coins from eight different countries, from Costa Rica to Germany.
  12. I'm straight, or "I'm a guy who likes girls" as the poll says. It's very interesting how diverse this forum is in terms of sexuality. Most forums I have been a member of are not nearly as diverse.
  13. If you are thinking about visiting Playland, I totally recommend it. Playland is a great little park with a nice assortment of flats and a good wooden coaster.
  14. I got back from Wild Waves Theme Park a few days ago, and I finally got my credit for the Wild Thing (this was my third visit there). It's an Arrow Loop and Corkscrew, and I knew it was going to be a rough ride, so I braced myself while riding. It still hurt like hell though, with the jerky transistions and constant headbanging. The only smooth part of the ride was the loop. The Wild Thing at Wild Waves wins my award for roughest coaster I've ridden.
  15. Once again, good job with the camera you had!
  16. Nice to see a TR of Playland! Nice job on the pictures, it's tough using tiny cameras like that.
  17. Maybe I'm missing something but isnt Revolution a Schwarzkopf and Iron Wolf a B & M? Revolution was designed by Schwarzkopf/Stengel for sure, but I've read it was built by Intamin. This would contradict RCDB, though. The track looks a lot like Intamin. These new trains look like a step in the right direction for Vekoma.
  18. Aww, I hope it doesn't go. It's a symbol of Alton Towers, plus, Vekoma Corkscrews aren't that bad. They aren't super tall or scary, but provide a decent thrill with a small footprint. They also have a much longer and more interesting layout than the Arrow Corkscrews. Plus, my home park has a Vekoma Corkscrew, and they're fine if you know how to ride them.
  19. The last coaster I rode was Corkscrew at Playland.
  20. That's too bad, it really does not give a good impression of North America to the students coming from other continents. It seems to me like they're being taken advantage of.
  21. This is quite sad, especially for the kid's family and friends. It's even sadder because it was due to the stupidy and ignorance of the group of kids and therefore was preventable. I guess we'll just have to wait for the lawsuit now from the boy's family.
  22. My home park is Playland at the PNE, home of the classic "Coaster". If traffic isn't too bad, I live about 15-25 minutes away. Remlinger Farms is the second closest, then Wild Waves, then Puyallup Fair, and finally Fun Forest Amusement Park.
  23. I know it closed last year, but I can't find a specific date. I'm not really sure why they closed it... despite the Volares apparently being painful, people really ate up the flying gimmick and it was one of the more popular rides. The only coasters Elitch Gardens could replace it with would be a Wild Mouse or a compact family coaster. Maybe a dark ride could be in store for the area where flying coaster is. Good job on the trip report... Elitch Gardens seems like a nice park.
  24. Nope, according to RCDB, they aren't. They almost go upside down, but not quite. I guess that's why they aren't counted as inversions. EDIT: Beat to it.
  25. It is TTD Uh, no. You posted a picture of Kingda Ka, not Top Thrill. Kingda Ka: http://cache.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/p12630.jpg Top Thrill: http://cache.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/p14963.jpg
