  1. FireFox has been my browser of choice for about two or three years now; it's just better than IE in so many ways! Here's why: Skins to change the look of FF. Extensions to add functions to FF, everything from MP3 players to Tabs, and although IE7 has them, FF, Netscape, and Opera have had 'em for much longer. Safer than IE! Faster than IE! Spellcheck! I'll go download FF3 now...
  2. The Coaster is at my home park. Most insane airtime ever on a wooden coaster! It is defintely one of my favourite roller coasters.
  3. Hmmm. The last time I tried to ride the Mouse solo, they wouldn't let me. Even with all those sand weight bags they have in (most of) the cars, lol. How long ago did you ride it, solo? I would really like to ride it again, but I just put it off, after that incident happened. This was two seasons ago too, so they may have changed their policy. It still boggles your body and throws you around in a framework you think won't hold the track up, LOL! A good scare. Love it. I've never tried riding it solo, but I'm sure they would let you if you went to it when it's not busy. I've seen people riding solo before. Last time I rode with one of my friends... not the most comfortable thing I've done!
  4. Sorry for bumping up a semi-old topic, but I figured it's okay because the last post was less than a month ago. Anyways, great TR. Playland is my home park and is a lot of fun, so I recommend you guys try to get there. Wild Mouse is scary, I thought the thing was going to collapse on me when I rode it. It screeches, rattles, and shakes like it's going to explode! Corkscrew is fun, and although I've heard it's much better than Alton's Corkscrew, there is still quite a bit of headbanging if you don't push your head back. Coaster is really cool. The seats are nice, but that doesn't matter when you're launched over the lap bar the entire ride, heh. Kettle Creek Mine is a nice family coaster, not much to say other than that. And finally, it has some nice other rides... a Breakdance, Top Spin, Log Flume, Space Shot, an enterprise, and a Frisbee to name a few. Oh, by the way, the reason there are two names for the Haunted House is because there is two different sides to it, if I remember correctly.
  5. Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions
  6. I agree so much. I was too freaked out that the ride creaks, rattles, and shakes to actually enjoy it. The part of the track that goes out over the line shakes like hell. While riding I swear that one of the wheels on my car came off the track for a second xD Despite this, I know it's perfectly safe. I'd say my favourite death machine is Corkscrew at Playland (which is also at Alton, Flamingoland, and some other parks). The ride is really fun, but if you don't know how to ride it, you could could come off with a massive headache. Like the other Vekoma Corkscrews, you have to push your head back really hard or else it will bang your head around a lot.
  7. Galaxy Orbiter at Galaxyland... what a blast! Galaxy Orbiter is a fantastic ride that packs a punch while stile being suitable for younger children and families.
  8. Coaster at Playland (Vancouver) is a roller coaster that isn't too well known outside of Canada. The airtime on Coaster is insane! The entirely ride you are literally pitched over the lap bar, which is fairly high up. The trains are also really comfortable, although you don't spend much time sitting down while on the ride! It's not really that tall (about 70 ft) or fast (about 48mph), but being launched out of your seat on almost every drop and hill really adds to the thrill (and the fun)! Timberhawk at Wild Waves is another fun wooden coaster, but it's not really that well known either.
  9. Sounds cool, SW could really use a "normal" coaster.
  10. Hi all, I'm Corkscrew, as you can see beside this post. Anyways, I've been reading the trip reports on TPR and I personally think they are hilarious and have a lot of great pictures! Fantastic job Robb and Elissa! It's really nice to see trip reports of a lot of lesser-known parks as well as popular ones. Although I haven't been to a large amount of parks or on a lot of roller coasters, I am a huge fan of amusement/theme parks. My home park is Playland (at the PNE), it would be nice to see a trip report on there sometime!
