Sort of. The ones I'm familiar with have more of an Intamin style OTSR. -

There were some red flags over where the rotor used to be, but I not sure they have anything to do with a new attraction. BTW, because I got rained out, I'm going again on Wednesday. Here's a picture. -

Les Miserables. It's pretty good.

^Cool, I'll keep an eye out for you. What will you be wearing? I'll probably be wearing my black Fahrenheit shirt. If the weathers bad, I may also have on an orange and gray raincoat. -
Comcast just took my History Channel away. Now I have to buy some bulky, ugly-ass converter box in order to watch it. F*ck them, I'm getting a dish.

The swings at one of our local playgrounds have OTSRs. I'm dead serious. -

There's a rumor going around on Kennywood Connection that Kennywood's going to make a major announcement this Wednesday. Furthermore, there are reports of red flags popping up around the Turnpike. I'm heading to Kennywood tomorrow evening, I'll try to get some pictures then. -
Kennywood - Photo TR - 7.4.09

Awesome pictures. What type of camera did you use? -
Yesterday I took a nap and dreamed that a weird virus was released into the environment that slowly killed people over the course of several weeks while causing them to ooze green slime from their mouths. Oddly, the virus also granted them super-human strength and made them extremely hostile towards those who weren't infected. The entire dream revolved around me trying to flee from the infected people by running through abandoned buildings, a subway, some weird guy's apartment that was filled with heaps of pornographic images and magazines, the Greenbrier, and a Cleveland ghetto that for some bizarre reason had Volcano: The Blast Coaster right in the middle of it. I blame it all on a lack of sleep and a crappy breakfast.

Has a waterslide ever scared you?
Kennyweird replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
One of the body slides at Waldameer had several very sharp turns that nearly flipped me over on my stomach, so yeah, I was kind of scared. -
What is your next park?

Not counting Kennywood, maybe King's Island. -
Wasn't he the guy who covered the Apollo 11 moon landing? I wasn't alive then, but my dad remembers him. He will be missed.

I vaguely remember Thrills, Chills, and Spills. Why did Discovery stop doing it? Was it not all that popular? -
The Restraint Discussion Thread
Kennyweird replied to MASH80554077's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't know about Cedar Fair, but some parks use them to determine whether or not you're too big to ride. If they can't buckle the seat-belt, then the restraint isn't down far enough to be effective. -
Waldameer Park Questions
Kennyweird replied to LJGoBlue's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just got back from Waldameer. The weather was crap today, which means I wasn't able to take enough pictures to make a Photo TR. Of all the rides at Waldameer, Ravine Flyer 2 is definitely the best. You absolutely have to ride it. X-scream is also pretty cool, as well as Steel Dragon, although personally I think they're a bit over-hyped. Wacky Shack was OK, it's definitely not the best of Bill Tracey, but it was still enjoyable. I guess Pirates Cove is also worthwhile, as well as Comet. Other than that, nothing particularly stands out. But overall, and despite the weather, it turned out to be a great park and well worth the drive. -
I'm going to Waldameer tomorrow. Woo-hoo!

I'm guessing Intamin made the new trains, right? At least they look like they should be a little more comfortable than the old Schwarzkopf trains. -
