Kennywood already has a ride themed to its history. If you mean the train, that's themed to the history of the area, really, not the park. Besides, the same spiel has been used on that train for as long as I can remember. I'm talking about history of THE PARK, like their past rides, and maybe an explanation of all the traditions or something. Not some spiel about George Washington, and some giant guy who can bend steel with his bare hands... Uh dude, they rethemed it this year. It's all about Kennywood now.

It's pretty obvious that this was coming, seeing that they didn't renew the license and all. At any rate, I'm sure we'll see a much better old mill in a couple years. I've also heard some interesting facts about the new coaster, including one possible name. I can't wait to see this thing start going up!

For the record, there was virtually nobody at Kennywood on Labor Day. My co-workers tell me it's like that every year.

Roughness can be caused by, among other things: - track imperfections (warping, "egging", manufacturing defects, etc.) - vibrations in the track - vibrations in the train - shuffling caused by gaps in the wheel assemblies (the shuffling of each car tends to compound near the the back of the train, making the rear more rough. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with getting whipped around.)

I still have yet to experience a rollback. I did witness Storm Runner rollback when I visited Hersheypark last summer, but that was it.

It's all in the eye of the beholder. A service one person appreciates another might find insulting or dehumanizing, it all depends on the person. Besides, I was more referring to people who are profoundly retarded and require a caregiver to lead them around, not people who are mildly retarded but otherwise functional, independent individuals. BTW, I don't mean retarded in an offensive way, it's just shorter than typing out "people with a mental disability", which I'm sure will be considered offensive by 2015, anyway.

^^ When I said "mentally disabled", I basically meant mentally retarded. For their safety and the comfort of those around them, I don't think mentally retarded people should be made to wait in line. ^ I figured that's what you meant, I just wanted to be sure.

I have ADHD and totally disagree with this policy. As far as disabilities go, ADHD is fairly mild, and treatable with medication. In fact, my ADHD keeps me entertained in line by allowing my mind to run wild. I think parks are afraid to deny these people exit passes, otherwise they'll be accused of being insensitive to their guest's "needs". It's amazing what lengths parks will go to to avoid bad publicity, no matter how stupid it is. Edit: Perhaps there's a good reason for this policy. It keeps the ADHD kids out of line so they don't run amok and irritate the crap out of other people. I'll have to give this more thought.

Go to Kennywood because I'm there. In all honesty, CP may be your better option, but as of late KW has been good about adding extra trains when the crowds get large, so I wouldn't count them out. There will probably be long lines regardless of which park you go to.
