  1. Slick. Shiny. Clean. I hope it stays that way forever
  2. The color scheme is growing on me. I love the trains
  3. I'm glad the park is able to make the area look nice. It replaced a nicely themed splash-boat ride, so it is a great addition.
  4. For those not following the project on Facebook, some new pictures were posted over the past couple weeks. I cannot wait to visit this summer! And Holy crap this ride is extremely compact. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/galvestonislandpier
  5. Did anyone think of the awkward moment when Shambala goes through the splash down while Dragon Kahn goes over the splash down? The whole train will be totally soaked as it passes over it. Quite an experience.
  6. Is the Drop Tower at King Dimonion really over 300 feet tall? I found the tower to be very weak (in terms of the sudden drop at the top) and not as tall as people claim.
  7. Nice photos Griffin! I can relate with your friends that refuse to wake up before 10 AM. Every time I travel to parks with anyone, they don't understand the importance of getting at the park right at opening. And while I might not enjoy Disney as a whole, I do enjoy a few rides. I love Space Mountain, glad you got to experience it
  8. Six Flags Great America on opening day! May 5th.
  9. I'm sure the ride will speed up as time goes on, but even in the video, it still looks like a good speed. This ride wasn't even meant for speed, just the experience and the keyholes, which I am more excited for. Cannot wait!
  10. That picture looks so surreal. I hope they get train covers, but the ride looks great
  11. So far, I see no sign of trims? It's not the biggest deal in the world if X-Flight has them, and I don't wanna come off as a complainer. I loved Wild Eagle, and the trim on that ride barely touched the train. But with how SFGAm operates Raging Bull and it's trim
  12. Your red B&M has such an awesome layout, and I've never actually had the thought of adding a zero-g roll like that to my rides. And your giga is immense! Love the park.
  13. Nice job! I love the woodie right by the entrance of the park, as well as your ride placement. Your shuttle loop is nice too
  14. I have to agree, but it's up to the GP. If they are willing to blow off that money to save some of their own time, it's good for the park. I went to Dollywood on a non-crowded day, but we were afraid it would be crowded, so we went to get Q-Bots... But the people working the counters said the park wasn't crowded, and most likely not be for most of the day, and told us not to get Q-Bots. I guess that more points to Dollywood, but I doubt a park like Cedar Point would turn people away from buying their fast lane tickets when the parks are not busy.
  15. I'll probably be buying the dinner season pass, as I go to the park so often. But I'm still waiting for the Flash Pass for food lines
  16. Doesn't seem like we'll be getting cool train covers like Swarm and Wild Eagle
  17. I'll be going to SFGAm on May 5th. X-Flight doesn't open until a week after, but I guess that's why I have to return to the park
  18. How tall are the quarry walls? I'm kind of curious as to how high Sky Skreamer will stand above the walls. Driving down the highway, SFFT is nearly invisible unless you know where to look. I did not even notice the park until I was about to turn off to the exit, so it should be interesting how the ride would stand.
  19. Good luck with that because Mr. Freeze doesn't plan on opening until May. If you don't mind missing it, then I would still go opening day. But if you never been to the park and want to ride it, I'd save your SFSTL trip for another weekend, later in the year.
  20. I'm just going to throw out Holiday World or Bluegrass Boardwalk. Both parks need a major steel coaster, and they are both relatively close to the Ohio plant. I'm not saying only parks close by can be contenders, but many people want a steel coaster at Holiday World... and Bluegrass Boardwalk got raped of it's major coaster, and this green B&M could be their answer for a new coaster.
  21. The same slide complex went to SFGAm last year... But does anyone know if they are getting the mini-funnel slide as well? It's on the right hand side.
  22. "No seats shall be left un-rid" - Wild Eagle operator Yeah, it was truly an amazing weekend. And we have the same exact opinions on Wild Eagle. Dollywood was such an amazing park and I would love to go back with all of you guys again next year. And how much do you wanna bet more effects on Jurassic Boat Ride will break down before our return next year?
  23. That many? Easter Sunday that year was on April 4th, but the park didn't open until April 24th. Not sure where you get your facts from? Unless they were employee cars, Six Flags Great America wasn't open that early in the year of 2010.
