Julie's Epic WDW Ongoing Trip Report!
Nrthwnd replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I remember when Pleasure Island was just created and starting up, with the Adventurer's Club included in it's original layout of dance clubs and bars. Glad to see it's still there with a continuing of shows and 'stuff'. I loved the masks wall, by the way! Do they all work and 'chat', or are they just stationary on the wall? Excellent ongoing TR Julie. -
Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
Nrthwnd replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Worst? Any coaster of any type-kind-style that ends with a lift hill! Nuff said, Adventure Express(PKI) and Ninja(MM) lovers, hmm? Best? The long, long, super speedy end tunnel of Big Thunder Railroad in Disneyland Paris. If they added more glow in the dark bats, then it would be Super Best! It just rocks thru the dark, for a good time, then roars up into the open space, and people immediately start clapping and yelling. Love it, every time I've ridden it. -
Naw. Do you think dogs laugh?

Excellent TR Julie! I hope to aspire some day soon, to your apparent greatness and journalistic...... um ..... greatness. The captions are some of the best I enjoy reading. Keep up the great work there! -

Coleslaw looks great, on a bed of spinach leaves with diced tomatoes on top.

My David's teeth and jaw are hurting more today, after he got a back molar extracted on Wednesday. Now, it might be too painful for him to accompany me to the three (3!) parties we have to get thru this afternoon and evening. He's gone to get stronger meds, but it blows nonetheless. I would rather stay home and help him get better, but he's going to try going out and see what happens. Not a real 'rant' I know, but still - dentistry work sucks, when it's still hurting 3 days after the work's been done.

You mean the ones you had to look down upon? Yeah, those. We in fact, have of them actually downstairs in our basement! It's one of the old Tempest game-tables. Yowsa! I can't name 10 cause I just don't know, no more. But my fave and extra special one used to be Q-Bert. And I could run into any one of those machines across the US and usually make myself the new 'top scorer' on those things, lol. Did it in Chicago, New Orleans, New York, LA... ah memories.

Sorry to hear Wally. And - not that this is helping matters - I try to make it a rule of (my) thumb, that if such an event or concert is in December itself, and I know well enough ahead of time? I usually buy the tix I want, then tell "the other half" what I got/bought, etc. If they get mad - well, their happiness pie is they didn't have to fork over the bucks to buy it/them for you, hmm? Unless the concert/event is in the new year, even January, it's dicey for these kind of dated events. Any time of this month... Still - sorry you may miss it.

Beautiful TR there to DLPR. I love it that they've put back the blue lights in the Adventureland entrance way. We missed seeing them last year. I can't wait to go back in 2007. New stuff at the Studios, some new stuff at the main Disneyland park. Yes! Thanks for sharing. -
Is there a guideline of 'cost' in order to pay that "few extra" dollars for PP charges? I thought I had gone thru most of the PayPal site (I am already listed with it) finding such information. But nothing found. If I could still pay thru PayPal, I would gladly pay the few extra bucks to cover their (R&E) PP charges, on the transaction. As long as it's not an unreasonable amount. Robb? Elissa?

On the evening he was shot, I was driving into town to deliver some flyers to a local bar. Had the radio on, and there, cruising down Seymour Street, I heard "the news." Very surreal feeling. I think it originally came over on the radio, like a 'rumor' that he had been shot. But of course, later on, everybody knew the truth. Sad to remember. Harder to imagine, at the time. Life sucks, sometimes, y'know? ~ ~ ~
