I liked #3, cause it looks like you don't have to mow a front lawn as often. And.... With some nice lights and effects, you could make yourself a nice little 'grottoe' for peeps to walk thru, be it at Holiday Time or........ Boo Time! But considering the investment you're making - take... your... time. Okay? Don't let (PICK #3) any of us (PICK #3) try to sway you (PICK #3 DAMNIT) in any way...

Yes the castle in the fog looks great, and must have been something, slowly coming into view as you made your way down Main Street towards it. The lamp posts look like extended versions of antique table lamps, to me, which is still interesting, especially seeing them lit at night. Certainly different than the lighted canopy they've used in past Holiday Seasons, down the Street. Mmmm, yes I would too love to be able to visit there during Holiday times. Having already done Halloween (last year), and eventually taking in the 15th Anniversary of the parks in '07, I'd say the Holiday Season is due for a visit, eventually. Thanks for sharing the pix, Dark Vampire.

Yokohama Cosmoworld Wheel...
Nrthwnd replied to PKIDelirium's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No, you're not The Only One. Raises hand. Stopping at the top of a ferris wheel and then rocking back and forth just un-nerves me. So, I avoid them as much as I can. Same thing happens to me if a coaster stops on the lift hill near the top, for same reason. Instant panic attack. As long as it's in motion, no prob. And now ya know. ~ ~ ~ -
W/o commenting on any of the above, I do hope that White Power Ranger got back to his (her? it's?) Base of Operation....okay. And that's a lot of foam there in that one pitcher. Was it a stout?

Statistics Are Back!!!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have been 'looking in' on the Stats listings, and have come to a (IMO) opinion about one of the them... Where TPR members are from doesn't really show, accurately, where indeed we all come from. With those of you in the USA, of course it's somewhat obvious to break it down, state by state. And only that. But here in Canada... well, there just aren't enough of us to warrant separation of provinces, hmmm? And add to that, the other parts of the world, where countries only, and not continents, should count. I mean, for example, why are people listing the UK as their final place of living, when it is actually broken into England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, yes? No? I don't list North America which is the UK equivalent, right? So why not list yourself with just city, country last in your profile? Just an observation and personal opinion, at worst. (oh and Post #777 here.....whoop) -
It's not too bad a show, from what I got out of the original Broadway cast CD. You should find a copy, and who knows? There might be a good evil part in there you'd enjoy playing, lol. I think some of the schoolguys are nasty, too.

The same reason that 'The Wizard of Oz' seems to be shown around holiday times... Just because.

Um, where did they take off to, "away from" you? Your families, I mean? Nothing personal, just bein'nosy, lol.

You look quite the content one, in that last shot of you, just outside the birthday house. No smoking rules, huh? Ah well, it happens. What is the cocktail in question, made of? Thanks for sharing again, Soren. I will miss you on the UK Tour , but that's really ok. Things are looking great for you and WDW and 'possibly beyond Disney too'(?) and I am sure that a lot of us will be hoping for your success, in the States. And that puts you a "little bit closer" to me, hee hee hee. 8)

On the Disneyland Paris Railroad, of course! Only they have it all in reverse. You immediately go thru the Grand Canyon and Primeval World buildings, then come out into Frontierland with great scenic shots of BTMisland, Phantom Manor, then on thru Adventureland and some actual untouched land still inside the park. And a nice peek at Pirates of... before Fantasyland arrival. It's a really nice way to enjoy the vastness and landscaped quality that Disney put into this park. And all the trains are kewl, too!

Videos of rides which no longer exist
Nrthwnd replied to tinhead's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Very fun to re-visit the old USO attraction. We were there in (gasp) 1991, after Back To The Future had just opened. Jaws was shut down for one reason or another, as was the Earthquake subway experience. We were not happy visitors. But... Kongfrontation was pretty kool to ride thru, considering it was done with the tram tour at USH and one smaller bldg. etc. A definite unique ride, IMhO. Thanks for sharing. And excellent idea about sharing old vids of attractions that maybe, might not be around any more. Like the Kong. -
Since this is a more 'themed' topic, rather than that all-purpose sticky up there.... I enjoy the following holiday-themed movies, and have them (and a few others) to enjoy again and again and.... yeah, one mo'time: Nightmare Before Christmas The perfect interchangeable two-holiday Tim Burton creation. Mmmm, Scary Teddy, Oogie Boogie, and a few great numbers all together. Still a magical, twisted bit of celluloid, again and again. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation The Griswolds. The cat. Cousin Eddie. 25,000 lights. Who could ask for a better family who's more f-ed up than your own, hmmm? Scrooged There are so many 'variations on a theme', but this one with Bill Murray has got to be high on a few peeps' list of faves. The only one I think he's better in, deals with 'another holiday' but we won't mention that, here, mmm'k? And Carol Kane kicks pretty good butt, too. ~ ~ ~ ~ I will only list three here, since ya got ta list yours, too. Thought of putting up a poll, but c'mon. I'd probably miss one you know I wouldn't want to miss, right? Share and enjoy the warm fuzzies. Happy Solstice All!

That's great! Hmmm. I wonder if they're being sold up here, somewhere. I know a few places that would (or could) possibly have these things near or on a counter near the cashier, lol. Might be fun in the bars, heh heh.

Ornament Express Video NOW AVAILABLE

That was great! Looking forward to seeing the 2005 Creation. -
We saw Harry Potter on Wednesday afternoon. Was fine. But more 'okay' to me, for some reason I still haven't figured out, just yet. The pace was good, and apparently their 'digesting' several hundred pages of the book worked well (to most other critics and GPs). However, I found the pace to be rather jumpy in spots. I think there were so many scenes to cover, things (IMhO) just didn't flow as well as for me, the first three have gone. I haven't read any of the books. And probably won't. Just yet, lol. But for now, the movie franchise will suffice. For now. I also think we were sitting too close to the screen for this one. Needed to be farther back, possibly to get it all in one viewing. I may even go again, and sit farther back just to check things out. I did enjoy it, and certainly could figure out several forgone conclusions from movies (and books), past. Who knows? I will give this one a out of 5 (IMhO).
