^ Doesn't count - sorry. (As much as I myself, love Ice Bat.) -

Miss you guys. Great TR Divv, btw. -
I think #3 needs a little voting love. Great TR. Now go ride some more coasters!
-
Wish I was on this tour. Glad I'm not drinking Beverly. (does that sound right at all?) Have fun when you finally ride some coasters, guys.

Pick your Favourite Barfing Stuffy!

Yes, and I was originally going to use that name for this one. But my paranoia made me decide better not to play around with Sesame Street (probable) copyright, LOL. -
From what Robb & Elissa said at the end of the tour I remember, this was the First TPR Tour that had every coaster (eventually) open, that was on the main list for the tour. Ka-ching!

Sorry a few of us missed the Group Photo up there in the tower. And we know who we were...are... But due to a surprising return of "The F-ing Fear of..." I found myself starting to keep to the middle of the deck. Thankfully, I passed a few others by, who suffered the same damned 'thing' as I do - or did, I thought after all these tower rides and coaster heights I've ridden - and the friggin SCAD Tower fer pita's sake'! But there I was and we were, "casually" clinging to the middle of ...it. I did manage to get a couple of pix taken from up there - how, I still can't remember, to this day. Probably blocked it out. And so, a few of us decided to leave early and get back down on (we hoped) terra firma ... mmmmm firm terra. So, again, so sorry we missed the pic. Maybe you could PhotoShop us in? And fantastic park, Sarkanniemi was! Even with the rain we got that day, that nearly scuttled the Jet Star credit, lol! Fun fun park. Another one in a great tour this year, Robb. So happy to have been a part of this one.

Very nice video. Editting and timing with the soundtrack were really great. When TPR does another video contest, you should eally consider this one as an entry. Thanks for sharing it and the pix! -
Gas. Nearly $30 Cdn. worth.

Where is that red-ponchoed guy... anyway, Chuck? Awesome parks, even in the rain - the buffet at the LegoLand park was cool. And plentiful. And quite good. And that river falls "tour" at Somerland Syd was..... oh well, it's too bad a lot of the guys on tour didn't actually do the ride, hmm? It made eventually getting (sort of) soaked kind of worth it, in a twisted non-pc kinda way, lol! The rain on these tours really makes us work our butts off with what we can do in such weather, especially when the coasters are still available, lol. Damn we're good TPR Tourists! Another great ongoing TR, Chuck. Thanks in advance for more more more! (Edit to add the LegoLand boat cave tour was pretty fun, too. All them pirrrates and swabbies an' lefties and.... it was cool.)

What have you been hit in the head with?
Nrthwnd replied to zaneymon's topic in Random, Random, Random
A tin can bonking me on the head, when I was a kid, coming up out of the water in the shoreside (then) swimming area at Horseshoe Bay, in West Vancouver. Timing was perfect; blood was drawn; but I guess the adults decided it wasn't that bad a BOINK, so nobody was sued, nobody was hauled in front of a judge, and I got cleaned up and a couple of bandaids for my involvement, lol. -
It's possible that since this was a first-visit for most of us to Finland's three parks in the tour (Power, Sarkanniemi, Linannmaki), and we were near the end of the tour, all parks were being looked forward to as much as all the other Scandinavian parks we had already visited. (And Hansa!) And I don't think they disappointed any of us. Sure, apart from there not being a lot of (what I call) "ongoing themeing" in most of the areas you'd walk through, I still enjoyed these parks, each for their layout and style, the coasters and other attractions/rides/games/food/shows. I had a fun day at each one, and I would love to go back and visit each one again. And I was really amazed how they built Linnanmaki into the hills there, cutting rock out and building/fitting rides in, here and there. Same goes for Sarkanniemi, come to think of it.

Yeah, I was saddened that (what I call it) The Taco Bell Ride wasn't open, and it didn't look like it was ever going to open, although they did seem to get their effects (fire, water fountain) working ok. Another time I guess, hmm? Great TR as usual Chuck. Your always special and unique photos, and added captions of wit and general are great to read through and enjoy. Looking forward to more.

It was awesome - I still cleared 8 seconds off my fastest time, and was able to catch up to the pack, and pass a few on the way to (not) Vic-to-ry!

I wasn't too sure if these postcards were produced by my home park or not. But then I looked closely at the surrounding areas in each card - and sure enough, it looks like my park PLAYLAND has come up with a really "interesting" set of cards to send to family and friends, LOL! That said, and I already have my own fave of the five, here's a POLL to find out which one of these darling midway game prizes spewing "stuff", catches your fancy and deserves your vote! I'll let the poll run for a few weeks, and then we'll see how it all came out. Piggy (almost) passing out - but not before... Monkey mayhem - ick. Doggie not well? Bad doggie. Big Bluey - losing it. Baby Alien - awwwwwwwwwwwpht!

Um, excuse me but what does ^ and ^^ have to do with this thread? Thought I would ask. Maybe you meant it to go into another thread and 'missed', lol.

^ It's local cuisine. And most of us enjoyed it, I believe. I know I did. And Power Park gave me my first BOOSTER ride (or whatever it's actually called in the trade), and I loved it! Five times! Definitely want to try our own here at Playland, which is a bit taller and less....colorful? Thunderbird was great too - wish I could have ridden it more times than I did, heh. The "Passing of Power Sword" was fun, too. And we never dropped it!!! We're that good at it. Our room had a nice view of the race track, which was neat. And once again, we enjoyed a wonderful buffet meal and a pretty good breakfast too! Definitely want to include Power Park again, when the Scandi Tour repeats, hint hint.

This is a photo of myself, taken on Friday, June 5th - the day before I joined up with everybody else (in Copenhagen) on the TPR Scandinavian 2009 Tour, in a lovely park in Sweden my host took me to visit and walk through. It has beautiful gatherings of ferns, huge tall forest.. reminded me a lot like home here in British Columbia, Canada. Mmmm. The serene, proverbial, "Calm Before the Storm" of touring and coastering, lol. Don't I look calm and ready for another TPR Tour? Taken 05/06/09 by my great host, Felix.
