^ Cedar Point had/has so many rides, besides the coasters, I could have spent a couple more days, than the three me and Bert did spend, back in 2017, to enjoy it all again and again. And don't miss the Woodstock Express coaster! It's got a pretty good kick to it, for the size it is. My joy in Cedar Point!

Listening to the original Mannheim Steamroller Christmas album right now. Still beautiful sounding, as it always did. Their version of "Silent Night" always gets to me. This was the first, of a number of Christmas albums they did.

Just found out what these current 3 Days (24-25-26th) are food-wise.... December 24 – National Egg Nog Day December 25 – Pumpkin Pie Day December 26 – National Candy Cane Day / National Coffee Percolator Day Happy Hollandaise Everybody!

Somehow, I missed this, as it's "only good till Dec.24th, midnight." However, in the past, they've extended the savings into the New Year for a bit. Anyway. Get'em while they're cheap (sort of). http://www.pne.ca HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYBODY!

^ This seems to be happening with a lot of current movies, thru social media. There are "problems" that did indeed happen during some kind of process for the movie, stage play/musical, etc. That they do intentionally leave out the obvious note-of-history, doesn't really help the current film. But like someone asked, "what can you pack into a two hour film that explains...everything?" But for myself, I just "let it go" (ha!) and just enjoy what's put in front of me, onscreen.

i'm an old idiot, and that's okay. it's the holiday season!

I'm in gay love with Laura Benanti! She plays the Prez' wife on Sat.NightLive, and is a gorgeous Broadway singer/actress. She's amazingly funny, too. And she won the TONY for playing Gypsy Rose Lee in "Gypsy", with Patti LuPone as 'Mom'. Currently in "My Fair Lady" as Eliza, on The Broad Way.

Yep. Tradition for me involves seeing a movie on The Eve, along with eating out, then hitting the bar for a couple drinks (couple?) before heading home. David is out in the Fraser Valley on The Eve, for his annual get-together with friends. That's how it goes, for us. Did you accidentally forget someone on your Gift List? (But made up for it, ASAP?)

This is so awesome for the holidays! Every Friday after 6pm, CBC Radio 2 does what they call a Deep Dive, into a record that has surpassed time and changing culture and media, etc. Usually rock/pop albums most of the time, but..... So for this Friday, before The day, they've picked A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)! The whole album played, with commentary about how the whole thing came to be, including info.about the tv special itself. Listening to it now. The kids in the various choruses, are especially sweet to listen to. All/most of it, by The Vince Guaraldi Trio. A jazz trio. Who knew? Also, it's the 10th Best Selling Christmas Album of all time!

So I did the small section of the front porch, that can ONLY BE SEEN from the sidewalk. David's damned rhodies have grown so high, it's blocked off all of, the view of (the rest of), the front porch. And I'll be damned to get up on any high ladder and do the rest of the house above the porch! When I win my lottery, I'll hire a bunch of college kids to do it, and insure them. So here's our front porch "done up" for the Holly Daze. Enjoy. First, this is what the mess looks like during the day. Halloween, 2018. Halloween, take 2. The Holiday set up. Damned flash doesn't do anything for it. Back to the mini-light show on the porch. Using one of those house lights for the porch, Works fine for us. And inside.... The rest of the holiday decorating, is The Tree and The Mantel. Nice that some people still send actual cards to each other for the season. (o:
