Before I forget to post... lock me in for 3 duckies!

I've got to imagine that part of the issue is that the park wasn't originally designed as a "rides" park. It was all about animal exhibits and shows, with the rides coming much later. I honestly don't recall the exact changes in the layout over the years, and I become somewhat confused between my very old memories of the Redwood City Marine World and the park now in Vallejo when I think back on it. Here are some old park maps from '96, kinda gives you an idea of where everything used to be. Both the dolphins and the whales shared the tank that just Shouka and Merlin are at now. The one that says "Showcase theater" is now the dolphin stadium, #12 was a giant blue whale that had a ball pit inside. It's now the Looney Tunes area. A lot of the other animal attractions are the same, but there are obviously rides and other stuff that weren't there in '96. NOTE: These map photos aren't mine, although I think I have one of these maps still somewhere. I think it might be from Shane's Amusement Attic but I'm not sure, may be just something I found online once.

^THIS! Though I voted "Alternative" because I like some of the slightly harder Christian rock stuff too. The above, plus Disciple, Oh,Sleeper, Showbread, Emery, Anberlin, Family Force 5, Nine Lashes, and Manic Drive are my top bands. Some of these are really hard to classify, like FF5, so I usually just say, "Alternative".

The Rock n' Worship Roadshow in Sacramento on Saturday! I almost didn't go but I'm glad I did. MercyMe, Tenth Avenue North, Hawk Nelson (one of their last concerts with current lead singer), Lecrae, a few others, and Disciple! MercyMe was really good and powerful. Disciple's tour bus broke down on the way but they finally made it and MercyMe let Disciple go after them, so Disciple was last! Here's the crowd cam! It was really awesome, I jumped and screamed so much I could hardly breathe!

I've been having a lot of coaster dreams lately, almost every night. Almost every time I never actually get to the point where I'm riding the coaster, just looking at it, talking about it, or trying to get in line. Some notable recent ones: --I was at SCBB and about to pay $25 to get my credit on the Giant Dipper. I was telling someone that I didn't care how much I had to pay for it and I didn't care that it might end up being a really rough, unenjoyable ride, I just wanted the credit. --I found out the new Superman coaster coming to SFDK was actually really wide, like the track was the size of a freeway and I think the trains themselves were like wing-coaster trains, but each side had a row of seats the size of those on a dive machine. I guess this was my dream way of dealing with S:UF's capacity problems. These two are the only ones I can remember the details for ATM. I think I'm going through coaster withdrawals and it's invading my dreams!

Yay! I'm qualified! As for this round, I don't have time ATM to do a thorough ducky search but I just wanted to say that this park looks really cool and I do hope they reopen some time! I like the concept of theming to rock music and it looks like an overall fun park!

So the rumors have it that SFMM's 2013 coaster might break the record for world's tallest inversion. Can't we hold just one little record besides, "Only 45-degree impulse coaster"? Anyway... if this is true, poor SFDK will only hold the "Tallest inversion in the West" title long enough to market S:UF. It's totally not surprising that SFMM is going to take the record from SFDK, it just seems kinda quick. Pretty sly, I think.

Idk, IMO it's a little early for that. Show her you like her through your actions... like complementing her, asking her on dates, asking her about how her day went and genuinely caring about what she has to say, etc. Plus, girls often have a 6th sense when it comes to guys that like them, and I think every girl goes through the stage where she's like, "Okay, I think this guy likes me, but do I like him? Maybe I'll just hang out with him and see how it goes..." So I don't think it's necessary to get into a "feelings discussion" quite yet, but rather, just spend time with her and give her time. But I think a general rule of thumb for relationships... just see how it goes, gauge the situation, because there's no such thing as universal advice. I know I'm guilty of trying to over-think things too much instead of just rolling with it. On another note.... I'M SO SICK OF SOME GUYS ARGHHHHH!!! One of my close friends is in a situation that's way too familiar. I had to pretty much talk her out of suicide and tell her how great of a person she is and how she deserves so much better because she's in love with him and he completely manipulates her feelings! It's literally an emotional roller coaster! He treats her like complete s**t and tries to control her and make her feel guilty whenever they're in a fight (like it's all HER fault) and then turn around and tell her he loves her and talk about getting married someday and stuff. It's guys like this that make me lose my already feeble hope in the male population!

I know what you mean. I'm getting really impatient, but I have to keep reminding myself that it's only February, this coaster is supposed to go up pretty fast anyway, and this is a Six Flags.

^I have to agree. Sadly, I still haven't ridden Kingda Ka (it was closed when I visited), but I've always thought it was an extremely sexy-looking coaster. I won't know until I see it, but I don't think Lex Luthor will be too much of an eyesore on Superman, but on Kingda Ka? I think it'd ruin KK's sexyness. I could totally see Six Flags doing this, though, especially if Lex Luthor is a huge success.
