  1. ^^I'm glad you got that. Good screenshot taking skills. Not sure what to make of it. ^No, they're down for the night anyway.
  2. That definitely is a huge draw for me. Plus, the fact that you don't have to wait too long to play. That being said.... I'm kicking bot today! The blue is running a lot better. I don't think I've lost with the blue at all today, but I did lose once with the red. My last round I got a 91% accuracy! Best I've seen yet!
  3. I think I've played about 9 times and won 8 of those... the one I lost was one of the few times I played blue. I didn't know how addicting this would be! I definitely want to do it again tomorrow! I giggle to myself every time someone says, "What's TPR?" Even if we answer them, they'll have no idea about the full truth. Explaining just doesn't do it justice! I saw BigMike on there today for a bit too! Happy to chat with him a little.
  4. I won my first battle! Not sure how that happened, but it's cool. Going to try it again.
  5. ^Water Challenge on Kong: never completed, since everyone used their water to take their aspirin.
  6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and Chuck Norris. It was a bloody battle, evenly matched on both sides until...
  7. Funny, I was just reading about the Battle of Little Bighorn the other day. I was the last real win for the Native Americans, after that the U.S. kept stealing their lands, killing them, and trying to assimilate them into American culture. Very sad. And after much debate and poring over the pictures... I'm going to have to say 7 duckies.
  8. Site looks good! I think that commercial is super cool... if I didn't know better, after watching that I'd be like, "OMFG COOLEST PARK IN THE WORLD!! SO INTENSE!!!"
  9. ^ Likes ponies < Is confused about this whole pony thing going around V Is planning on watching the Superbowl
  10. ^THIS! You might be a coaster nerd if... You feel ashamed whenever a close friend or family member makes a GP comment. You frequently dream about coasters. You've never gone an entire year without riding a coaster. You've spent your paycheck to go to a park when you probably should have used it for rent or something similar. If you've ever had a coaster-related nickname. (My nickname on one site was "Coaster" for a while, and I'm currently trying to find a coaster-related roller derby name for myself. Any suggestions?)
  11. Oops! I've been found! I forgot about that until you mentioned it. I was soaking wet after like the first run because you guys lost all your water and it went straight on me! I kept all my water pretty well, so I decided to douse someone with it who didn't keep theirs. No hard feelings? Who was that guy who ended up winning on the last round by like a mm of water? If we do Medusa water ride again this year, I'm aiming for #1!
  12. block of stinky cheese, old tuna salad, and bread. They had a brief snack, and then began making sandwiches as fast as they could. Robb and Elissa hoped that the tuna salad sandwiches would be enough to give the zombies food poisoning and intense diarrhea, but instead,...
  13. What Andrewopolis said, but I would add the up-charge animal feedings in there too, specifically the dolphin feeding. I'm not sure if they do it the same way they did before, but if you pay like $15 and reserve early in the day, you can go feed fish to the dolphins and pet them and take a picture with them. Really awesome way to get up close and personal with the dolphins without paying $150+ for the swimming session. Also, the Shouka show. Sit in the wet zone, but be careful to protect your camera! There's also two water rides that are pretty fun, but I recommend riding them later in the day. If you try and ride them during the hottest time of day, the lines will be pretty bad. Just go to the Shouka show if it's hot. I remember seeing you buying those shirts in the shop. I was in there debating about whether I'd be the only one in the group to buy a t-shirt and would look like a total idiot going to ERT with one, but I felt better when I saw you and your cousin buying stuff and ended up getting one. It's pretty much my tradition to buy a t-shirt/some kind of merch when I go to a park. Although, I'm starting to have more than I can wear! xD I need some kind of display case or something. + I hate the little holes too. I have no idea where they come from either!
  14. This honestly bothers me a bit, and I've known people who have done this. They'll basically rank something higher in an out of the way place not because the ride is better, but because they've been on it. It's like "bragging rights" or something. I'm sure people do that, but could it also be because--since it's out of the way--those people's only chance to ride it may be during that trip, and then months or years down the road, they'll think back to the long-distance one and over-glorify it since it was such a unique and rare experience for them that would be hard to replicate? For example... I sometimes think I over-glorify coasters I rode in '09 when I went on my first and only road trip to the east-coast. Since it's been a long time and I haven't been outside CA/NV since then, I think I rate the east-coast coasters higher because it was an awesome, different experience and I can't re-ride the coasters very easily to form a more solid opinion. Tl;dr: In juxtaposition to sitting in my house all day, those parks/coasters seem a lot more awesome than they would if I were standing right next to them. Although, this theory probably only works for people like me who never get out.
  15. ^ If he was a monkey, he'd throw feces. < Sometimes wishes she could have the life of a cat. V Not a cat person, but should be.
  16. Whoa.... CGA has stuff from Manteca waterslides? Totally awesome!!! I remember that park! Mainly the catchy commercials... but we visited the park only once before it got wiped off the map. /side note. Carry on.
  17. hahahhaha love it! I've only ridden one coaster in the top 10.... and that one I've ridden is #1!!! So stoked! I'm so glad I had a chance to ride it.
  18. ^I can't top that at all! Are those geese planes? I can't wait for S:UF, so it's my desktop until real pictures surface!
  19. Good luck with that. I'm sure it helps to live closer to parks with merch, but the most relevant I've found are a Tower of Terror shirt and a DCA sweatshirt, neither of which were worth buying (might as well go there and buy new). I've actually been really surprised with luck. A few years back, I somehow came across a souvenir plate from Marine World Africa USA (oldddd plate) in really good condition. From a local yard sale. Recently, I found a full-color, hard-cover coaster book at the thrift store in good condition, and this is mountain red-neckville 5 hours away from the park. Both times I was beyond shocked... so you never know. I think you're right, I ended up with a V2 shirt and I think it happened the same way for me. I guess they probably didn't make any Zonga merch or I probably would have gotten it back then. Not 100% true, I've seen Medusa shirts (the ones with the medusa head on the front) in the shops almost every year, but they're always kinda tucked in with the superhero merch and always the same one. However, last year they had an entire new line of coaster/park shirts in one of the shops. Medusa and V2 I remember, I think even Kong and Roar. I ended up with a generic SFDK one with phrases all around it like "thrill-seeker", "coaster expert", "need for speed", etc. I thought it was funny. I like to collect shirts, if they still have the Medusa one next year, I'm going to get it.
  20. ...really bad gas from an ACEr. Robb and Elissa saw their chance to escape and sprinted out of the dungeon, only to find the worst horror imaginable waiting outside for them in the form of...
  21. What crazy person would be at SFMM before daylight?.... I would! If I could attend this year. But at least I'll have a great thing to look forward to next year! Love the gator photos too! That looks like a lot of fun, definitely have to add that to my mental bucket list! I'm also going to say 3 duckies before I wait too long and miss my chance. I'm not confident on this one at all, sadly.
  22. ^First rain/snow for months happened in NorCal the other day. So... it pretty much felt like a flood. I don't see the station in this photo, but aren't they reusing it again for S:UF? I assume they probably just moved it and are going to put it back once the area is clear and building begins.
  23. ... a huge stack of beer! There was every type of beer imaginable! Robb thought that he must have found the door to heaven, but Elissa said, "....
  24. ^knows a word I don't know V Wishes he/she had a beer right now
  25. The issue with the heat was limited to the drive tires on the lift. They had a nasty habit of melting. Also the PSI in the lift tires were something like 120PSI so when it warmed up the pressure against the tires that were either melting or just getting softer tended to make them go boom. It was kind of humorous when one blew. There were a few times when a lift tire blew and guests in line would scream and run cause it sounded like a bomb going off. Texas is hot, but not hot enough to warp steel. The track was fine. That's hilarious! I can see sooo many GP comments resulting from that! "OMG, Texas Tornado blew up!" "No way!!" "Yeah I totally saw it happen! The coaster blew up and I think someone died!" Did anyone score a Zonga t-shirt from when it was at the park? I would be sooo happy if I came across one in the future at a thrift store or yard sale!
