  1. ^ Something found in the sewers at Magic Mountain.
  2. Getting shot with a blowtorch What's worse than getting attacked by killer ants?
  3. Congrats STR8FXXXINEDGE for winning! You deserved it! Congrats Meagan on #300 and glad you didn't get kidnapped in Mexico Big Mike!
  4. Saw the Hunger Games today! (my town's small theater only plays one or two movies a week, and always weeks or months after they come out) I really liked the movie! I haven't read the books, but now I want to. The movie kept me on the edge the whole time. The wasp scene literally had my heart pounding in my chest... I think that's one of the scariest scenes in any movie i've seen recently! I HATE WASPS!!!
  5. Slowly rolling off a cliff towards lava without the ability to stop your fall. What's worse than going insane?
  6. Got back from the movies to realize that I had a paper due tomorrow that I hadn't started! Thanks largely to the large Dr. Pepper I downed at the theater, I had enough energy to write my paper! But now that I'm done... I don't feel tired enough to go to bed.
  7. The above happens over a long stretch of time, when they remove a significant coaster or attraction every year but keep telling everyone the GCI is coming soon. What's worse than rubbernecking a bad car accident, only to realize the person involved was a close friend or family member?
  8. Since i loved the "Find the Ducky" game, I'm going to double love the "Find the Double Ducky" game!!
  9. Had a great time on Saturday! Still a little sunburned from it too. Crowds were medium. Summary: –-I rode Medusa first thing when the park opened, but after that, the lines were too long for me to bother until around 5:30 PM. --Kong seemed even more rough than I remember it last time. I rode in the 2nd-to-front seat and it felt as rough as I remember the 2nd-to-back seat being! I felt really bad for the people farther back. --I rode Sky Screamer for the first time.... it was alright. The best thing was the nice view of the park. --I rode V2 toward the front, said to myself, "WOW! I always underestimate this coaster!" and then got back in line and rode it again. I forget how fun the 45-degree spike can be in the front! --Since all the other coasters had taken about 15-20 minutes, I got in line for Roar in the last half an hour before I had to go back and get my stuff out of the 1ocker... but after about 20 minutes in the heat watching the video for S:UF, I realized Roar was only running one train and said, "screw that," got my stuff from Oasis plaza, then went to get a good seat at the Shouka show. This was probably when I got burned the most--waiting in the sun for half an hour expecting to get soaked by Shouka, only to find out she did the most soaking tricks for the crowd on the left side of the slideout, not the right (usually it's the other way around). Since this was the first time I've been to a park since turning 21, I took the liberty of buying myself a beer. I enjoyed it, but it tasted less strong at the park than when I've drank that exact beer elsewhere. Do they water down their drinks? In the afternoon I met up with a friend and took a more relaxed approach to riding coasters. Toward the evening, I upgraded to a season pass (BOOYAH! Might actually get a chance to use it this year!) and then braved the eternally-long processing line. Here is my Superman pics + whale TR photos. I usually don't take many photos of anything besides the Shouka show, and Saturday wasn't very different I don't remember seeing this pretty paint thing before, but I like it! This view will look great when the coaster is completed! Doesn't look like much happened between the day people last posted pics and Saturday.. PS: I have no idea how to get this photo right-side-up. Sorry. According to my friend, there had been a beam here on Friday. All there was on Saturday was this cable! SHOUKA SHOW!!! No one ever posts pics of the Shouka show! So I figured I'd do the honors since love the Shouka show so much. She's so cute!! Whale tongue! Would you pet a whale tongue? I didn't do as well this time with getting good Shouka photos, but you can count on me to be your Resident TPR Whale Photo Coverage Provider! Next time I'll do better!
  10. Yes, but not always. Have you ever wanted to be president?
  11. What was that about no track on site? "Making headway! Here’s a look at the first piece of red track laid down today for SUPERMAN Ultimate Flight. What do you think?" SFDK Facebook
  12. No, but maybe next summer I'll look into working at SFDK. Would you want to take over the marketing for Six Flags?
  13. Glad to hear you're enjoying Cali! Wish I lived a little closer or I would have been down there with you guys! The Kids N' Action place looks really cute, and that was super nice of the owner to let you ride the kiddie coaster! I've never been there before but I swear it looks like a place I've dreamt about. How weird!
  14. ...You've ever asked for an amusement park advertising poster that would have been thrown out otherwise. ...You've bought a season pass for a park even though you didn't think you'd use it, but you wanted the pass "just in case." ...You know more about a park than the people who work there.
  15. If you mean the sport, then yes I've seen high school basketball but not professional. If that's a movie.... then no, I haven't even heard of it. Do you dream often?
  16. If all goes as planned, I'll be at SFDK on Saturday! Hit me up if you think you might be there that day too!
  17. I'm planning to be at the park this Saturday (28th) so I'll try and get some construction photos! Glad to see some vertical construction! Anyone else think they might be going this Saturday who might want to plan a meet-up? Just message me! Quick question... there's a ticket deal for $35 if you buy tickets online at least 3-days ahead (as long as I buy today, I'm good). Can I upgrade to a season pass in the park? Would the additional cost be the difference between the current price of season passes and the price of my ticket? I seem to remember before it was $20 to upgrade but if they keep with the strict difference, it will be more like $30.
  18. hahahahhahaha that's awesome! I agree! This should totally happen. xD
  19. I'd like to know more about the short-cut to Tatsu by going through Revolution's exit, but I don't know SFMM very well. Can someone show me on a map or photo or provide detailed instructions? There's a chance I might go with my college's ASB on Sunday the 22nd. I really hope what I heard about their plans is true and that they follow through this time!
  20. ... a bunch of disturbing sexual material and...
  21. ^ Same here! My palms are all sweaty just thinking about that SCAD tower! If I came across one, I'd definitely do it, but I know I'd scream like none other! Sorry the Super-Epic contest didn't work out. I'd totally do it, but I live 4.5 hours from the nearest park. So it'd be pretty hard for me to get my first entry in, not to mention the other rounds! But next semester I'm planning to live 45 minutes away! It'd be easier then! OMG Big Mike is going to be at SFMM, but one day before I might be there! I just found out today that there's the likelihood that ASB at my community college is planning a trip for Sunday the 22nd! One day after Big Mike! D: So close to meeting you, yet so far.
  22. ... Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston were there, but Michael was black and Whitney was white, and...
  23. No. Do you go to church on Sunday?
  24. Santa Clara mayor's office email Click on ' send message to' and scroll down to "Mayor, Council, Board & Commissions" Thanks! Is it the Parks and Rec. Commission you guys are sending to? Or a different one?
  25. GAHH!! My sister can be such a brat sometimes! She thinks every time I let her have something (to use for a time), it means i've given it to her forever! She's done this with so many things of mine! When I went off to college the first time (I ended up coming back to the CC later), I left a lot of my clothes home so I'd have something to wear on breaks, and so I wouldn't have to take everything with me. She thought that gave her permission to raid my closet when I was gone, and wear a lot of the clothes. Many she didn't give back to me until a year+ later when the clothes didn't fit me anymore and I had to give them to her anyway. Now, she just freaked out at me because I asked for this CD back that I had bought in Jr. High. I let her use it for a long time because I had an iPod and she didn't. Now, we both have iPods but I generally listen to CDs in my car. According to her, it was Dad's CD and he gave it to her, but this is untrue. He didn't even like the bands on the CD until I got into them and shared it with him. Even if he told her she could have it, that doesn't take away the fact that the CD was mine in the first place and I want it back. I've been too lenient with lending out my CDs and now they've been spread across the winds for years and I'm trying to get them all back so I can keep them in one place. If it were just one CD I probably wouldn't care as much, but she's done the same thing with a TON of stuff of mine. She still has my iHome that my ex gave me and I'm probably never going to get it back. Plus, she won't even let me BORROW anything of hers and hardly ever lets me use her stuff even once like her hair products, and perfumes and all. She would never let me borrow any of her clothes, but she uses my clothes all the time. Sometimes I don't care, but sometimes (like this) it's really frustrating and makes me not want to lend her anything!
