Made the mistake of riding hurler over the weekend hoping that the trims would at least dull the pain of that first curve but alas was disappointed....when a coaster is that rough just going into the pre-drop curve then you know it's gonna be bad all the way through.

Thanks for sharing the fireworks pics,I was up on I-street when the shopw started & couldn't really see much through the trees.

Agreed. The rider could easily slid out by "submarining) under the restraint,or to the side,that & it looks as if there were straps being used in place of a lower lap bar to secure the passenger's ankle/shin region.Toga at least had t he insight to engineer a butterfly restraint to secure passengers around the upper torso along with the lap bar while Arrow didn't. Did Arrow produce the same standup trains for SFSTL's ride seeing as it's an Arrow minetrain?

I use the robin hood woodie quite frequently in RCT2 myself.

Went to KD yesterday & man was it packed!! Lines for Dominator stretched all the way back over by berserker,and don't even get me started on how bad the wait was for I305 by early to late evening. Had a couple problems though,the first being this jerk cutting in line on rebel yell...he gave the classic excuse that he'd gotten out of line to use the restroom & had to get back with his friends but security took care of him after the ride.The other problem was with this idiot over at grizzly.I was in the queue filming the ride like usual & he's next up ahead of me with his kid & his other son already in the train when he has the nerve to put his hand on my camcorder yelling "you better stop filming my son" at the top of his lungs & making other threats about it. Now I've been filming in ride queues at the park all season & NEVER had another park guest threaten me like that before,as far as I know it's not against park rules to film in ride queus or anywhere else in the park except on the ride itself & if that jerk doesn't like it then he shouldn't be in the park as there are hundreds of people with their camcorders rolling both on the midways & in the queues.

Didn't someone fall out of the restraints on an Arrow standup train that had that design? I think it was the mine train at SFSTL,which had one track briefly converted into a standup ride.Of course the reasons for WOF removing the standup trains on it's corkscrew coaster were due to the added weight taking it's toll on the track & structure.

Backlot is pretty intense for it's size,good thing that the takeoff is gradual unlike FOF's otherwise you'd probably be looking at some serious neck snappage there.

On their FB I got the same response....SFA get's the shaft again.Well screw them I'm going to KD as they get new rides on a fair basis. I would like to see PG county sue SFA & SFI for not living up to their promise 11 years ago to improve the park & perhaps see the county take over management/operations as well & turn it into a city run park much like how Glen Echo used to be.

Check it again,I was the next person to reply to your post there as I was just on FB a few minutes ago. I'm sure it's not a coaster as so far SFOG & SFNE announced their new coasters for next season on FB today & if SFA were in the running they probably would've done so by now as well.My best guess is they're getting the shaft as usual.

Why should it vary from coaster to coaster? I mean one B&M hyper is the same pretty much as another as far as the rolling stock is concerned. Any ideas on 2011 yet? With WOF,DP & VF adding the snoopy starlight package & CGA as well as MIA pretty much getting nothing(as usual) there should be some cash left out of the $80 to $100 million for the park to work with.

I totally agree with both of these. What's with all the hate for Grizzly? It's a little rough and that first turn is the most boring thing ever, but that tunnel is something ELSE. I concur,sure the turnaround is slow but it leads into that action packed tunnel which always has me ducking each & every time I ride...& I ride it quite a bit. Hurler on the other hand has pain written all over it & deserves the bashing it gets....after all "you only get what you give" & unfortunately hurler gives out pain in spades.

Yeah but you can already do that in RCT3,just use the Johnny Watts cheat for a POV view. When & if RCT4 debuts I hope the system requirements aren't insanely high like they were for RCT3,given the end results we got which are outdated by today's standards.I also would hope that they DON'T rush the release plus any add ons as there were alot of bugs with the EP's for RCT3....mainly the faulty registry keys that won't delete when you remove the game from your system.

Shockwave's 25th anniversary is next season so perhaps it'll get a much needed paintjob with a new color scheme? I wouldn't mind seeing a blue spine/yellow rail combo with blue or yellow supports to liven the ride up.

Who knows?Perhaps CF has purchased a couple of other flats for the remaining parks that havn't been announced yet but I'd like to see KD get CGA's version of delerium for starters....they need flats just as much as SFA needs coasters.

In that regard I agree as we can't expect big e-ticket attractions every season as that would bankrupt CF just as it did SFI.My guess is 2012 or at the latest 2013 is when we'll see another major attraction installed at the park.

Well only 4 parks in the chain have announced new attractions so far,they still have Dorney,WOF,VF,MIA & KD left to go. I know it's highly unlikely but what about a spinning mouse coaster being added somewhere in the park?KD hasn't used the woodstock express name for a ride yet while the other former PP's have.

So I was right,KBF & KI are the other two getting windseeker rides so I guess we aren't getting anything major next season@ KD?

Notice how "track length" is mispelled? If this were an official document then I'm sure Intamin would've proofread it for starters & why would they even bother releasing it anyway if they wanted nobody to see it?

Sheesh. I always get tons of headbanging whenever I ride, my friend got a headache from it and couldn't ride anything for the rest of the night. Yeah the park really needs a B&M invert.

Recieved a flyer for KD season pass renewal & they're having their labor day weekend sale on renewals which works out well for me as I plan to visit the park on sunday the 5th.

And that is just the problem,unlike most flats or coasters this type of ride,along with the skycoasters require much more human involvement in their operation & don't rely so much on computers that would e-stop the ride cycle should anything that's not right be detected.

I mostly agree with you. I live about 45-50 min from the park and used to get a season pass every year. This was the first year I did not in 6 years. The park is falling apart. They put a lot of pride into the water park and neglect the dry side it appears. The park it self is pitiful. They have taken so many rides out over the years and have not put a majoy ride back in years! The last coaster they built is Batwing. The operations have always been terrible with employees acting like they could care less about their job or the happiness of the guest. They are very slow with checking restraints and are more worried about what is going on in each other personal lives or flirting with guest. I will disagree and state Wild One is really smooth. Also pls keep in mind I have not been to the park this year and I have heard it is a different atmosphere with the employees acting like they have sense. The only reason why they invested so heavily in the waterpark,at the expense of the ride side is because the waterslides are far cheaper to buy & install than any flats or coasters....SFI's just gotta save that money for SFMM,SFGRADV & SFGRAM after all & this is why I stopped going after the 07 season after getting season passes to this park every year since 98.
