  1. Nice pictures, this is the first I've seen of this park other than TPR's trip, obscure parks are nice to read about. Out of curiosity, what else does the white T-shirt that says "Cedar Fair.... you suck!" say?
  2. I don't know if you guys have got one from PA yet; if not, I'll gladly send one. Good luck!
  3. I can see all three on Firefox (version 2.some), but only the first on IE7; this is on a Vista. TPR TV, eh? I look forward to hearing more about this!
  4. 19/20 I'm surprised I scored as high as I did; I got a couple lucky guesses.
  5. Loving this TR, it's great to see all the different perspectives of this trip. And I know I'm a bit late, but does anybody know where I can get one of these (the Intamin t-shirt, not the women )?
  6. Wow, unlike most coaster-related podcasts, I really loved listening to this one. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
  7. Is it just me, or do those hands look a lot older than 15? Creepy....
  8. I'm not much of a fan of the new Nanos; they're just a little bit too rounded and oddly-shaped for me. The new Touchs (Touches? Touch's?) aren't much different from the old. Volume buttons are nice, I guess.
  9. No way! Everybody knows we have until 2012!
  10. Signed up, EmilG. Look forward to losing to all of you.
  11. 2001 Nitro, SFGAdv 2005 Kingda Ka, SFGAdv 2007 Maverick, CP 2008 Fahrenheit, HP Dark Knight, SFGAdv And probably one or two more I'm forgetting.
  12. I'd sign up for the "weekly winners" game, although I can almost guarantee I'll come in a distant last.
  13. Great update, I LOVE the last picture and caption. Makes me look forward to meeting up with you guys!
  14. You can get the track packager and other tools here: http://www.coastersims.com/nltools.asp Hope that works alright!
  15. Perhaps they'll get a Kellogg's sponsorship and name it "Snap, Crackle, Pop"?
  16. El Toro, Phoenix, El Toro. I second (third?) the Talon nomination, definitely my favorite invert, and one of my top five steel coasters.
  17. Emil: Glenside, PA (suburb of Philadelphia) - Dorney Park, 45 minutes away Also: SFGAdv, 1.5 hrs away; Hersheypark, 2 hrs away.
  18. I like most of it, but the wooden coaster seems unrealistic and odd. None of your turns are banked, and they really should be. Anyway, look forward to seeing more of this.
  19. LOL! That's great. Band: Animax Entertainment Album: There's No Praise to Beat the Sort You Can Put in Your Pocket Album Art:
  20. I don't really get it. I know this is just the beginning, but there's absolutely no connectivity between the start and end points you've given. Also, during the first part you seem to have adopted a rather unoriginal (and not to mention uninteresting) writing style, from there it pretty much just rambles on. I have no idea where you're going with this story, but with that as your opening, I don't see many options. Obviously you're still a budding writer, but you should really proofread your work before, say, posting it to a theme park site.
  21. ^But Cedar Fair also has CP in Ohio, and just about nothing else in Michigan.
  22. Not bad, but not the greatest. The five 90's seemed excessive, and a lot the transitions were rough and taken too quickly, but I liked the layout. Two things I notice in particular were the first airtime hill and turn/transition to the brake run, both were a bit pumpy. I enjoyed it, but it was too fast, in both the train's speed and the quickness of the transitions.
  23. I was there not too long ago, and although the park in general was uncrowded, KK's line in particular was surprisingly short, even without Flash Passes. El Toro, on the other hand, was very crowded at both times we rode. And if you were considering not (although I can see why, $215 for five people!), you should almost definitely get a Flash Pass. It let's you go through your day without planning out every detail or rushing, and was vital even when the park isn't packed. Also, one word of advice for El Toro (and Nitro, in my opinion): FRONT. I rode ET once near the back, and once near the front. I was really disappointed by the back, it wasn't nearly as fun as I remembered. The front on the other hand, is smoother, and in my opinion has more fun forces.
  24. I'm going to have to say Magnum XL-200. I was really looking forward to it due to its rave reviews (and the lack of negative reviews), and its similarities to Steel Force, which has always been one of my favorite coasters. The ride ended up being painfully rough, the transitions were terrible, the lap bar wasn't at my lap (at all), and the airtime was awkward. I really didn't enjoy it at all.
