  1. Mmmm, Thundercoaster. No pictures of the awesome crazy dragon-head-entrance-to-the-simulator though? Shame on you! Really awesome update Robb, one of the best from the trip I think! Baaahahaha, the Joystick, I'd forgotten about that... That was a hysterical fifteen minutes, never laughed so much in my life as on that trip. Thankfully I think that's the only picture from that experience! Tusenfryd was a cool little park, thanks Robb and Elissa for organising the extra two days for us, they were awesome.
  2. ^ Yeah, we have to improvise because we aren't allowed handguns. Stupid government! So, do we know anything else? Is the person alive/dead/KFC-phobic? Had a look for this on the news last night but couldn't find anything.
  3. ^ Who's repeating themself?! I'm sure you meant this affectionately, but it cracked me up. Yeah, Ryan's retarded, but we love him anyway. With all our... "heart thingies"...?! Looking forward to the next updates, as always. ESPECIALLY Liseberg.
  4. Great TR Ryan, your captions were hilarious. Looks like you guys had fun despite the ghettoness, looking forward to seeing Bob's pics too. I <3 giraffes. LOL to "Oh no, Casey WAS here!". I miss you so much that my heart thingy hurts.
  5. Once again, Wes wins the thread. Although that's not weird as much as it is disturbing.
  6. I imdb'd and found the Fatboy director, and also this guy, whom I'm guessing is the right one: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1390272/ But yeah, if you're gonna start a thread like this, might be an idea to give a link, or a picture or something, rather than just expecting everybody to know who you're talking about and then yelling at them when they don't.
  7. I know she's working a full three months there and I think she's only been there a few weeks so you should have plenty of time! Glad you got there safe and you're having a good time Chrissie! Wonder what she's been doing so far... Maybe you can help us out with that one Soren, is she working at EPCOT, or in a hotel, or...?
  8. ^ Exactly what I was gonna say, the shower pic is awesome! Great report Casey, glad you kids had fun. Having witnessed firsthand the legroom problem, I feel for you.
  9. I've never been even remotely tempted by MySpace, although I did register just so I could view my friends' pictures. Facebook however I really like, I like how easy it is to use and the simple looks and features. It's a cool (and as others have said, pretty much private) way of keeping in touch with people over the summer, and friends I haven't really seen since high school and college, without being pestered by random netkids.
  10. Hi Kristie! So now you've moved on from talking vaguely about death threats to actually suggesting that you kill/maim Ryan... Interesting progression!
  11. Why would there be fuss? If Christians hired the park out the same way the Muslims have, I don't see that it would be a problem. But it's a slightly different situation: The Muslims kinda have to be in the park alone because of the rules about dress, and gender-mixing. With Christians, those issues wouldn't be there. And yeah, it'd be hilarious if the national racist party turned up to cause trouble at a day when 20,000 people were just trying to have fun.
  12. "Who was that?" "Random naked cowboy dude with a hat" "What did he do?" "He pounded me!" Extract the audio from that, play it to Ryan's dad, and we won't ever have to worry about him coming on future trips! (Only playing dude, pound it!) Great video, and actually a great update as well, only like two Lou jokes, awesome!
  13. No matter who's in the right and who's in the wrong (and although I do feel bad for the couple and their guests, I'm inclined to agree that this is Alton's fault, although if they really didn't contact the bride and groom to tell them about the situation, I think that's kinda out of order), I think at the end of the day, it's the wedding party whose weekend isn't going to go to plan. There are 60 wedding guests, and 20,000 Muslims, and in the current climate, there's no way the park is going to push the Muslims to allow the others into the park without following the guidelines of their religion. And, to be fair, why should they? I'm almost certain that this will come down to a choice for the wedding party: Either they don't go into the park, or they cover up, and ride separately according to gender. It was mentioned that obviously the bride and groom would be upset that they wouldn't be able to ride together... Maybe the park shouldn't *have* to do this, but in the interest of good press (and I guess common courtesy), surely they could come to some arrangement to let the wedding party into the park and hour early, or for an hour after closing, or maybe even let them into one area of the park and ask the Muslim celebrators to stay away from that area for a while... Seems to me that the Fun Day organisers are being fairly understanding about the whole thing and would maybe be willing to come to some compromise. This would no doubt be costly (and annoying) to the park, and maybe the wedding party would have to pay money for something like this, but hey, if they didn't read the contract properly (which seems possible), it's their own fault. If that is the case, good luck to them if they do try and take legal action. Somebody did raise an interesting point: I wonder what happens with staffing in such a situation? Presumably the ride ops and other workers cover up out of respect for the Muslims, but do they arrange them as all-male and all-female crews?
  14. LMFAO!! I am now Rocksexual.
  15. We used to have bets at college on who could eat the weirdest combination of things (the gravy on a doughnut made me think of this), but I don't remember anybody eating anything that wasn't actually meant for human consumption. I once ate a baked potato with baked beans, tuna (which I despise), gravy, cheese, sweetcorn, and half a can of Fanta mixed in with it... But nope, no feminine hygiene products.
  16. Robb and Elissa aren't British?
  17. Eric, it's like you work in The OC (the TV show, not the county) or Hollyoaks or something, where you're all ridiculously beautiful! Looks like you guys had a blast. Your TRs are always enjoyable to read, thanks for posting the pics.
  18. ^ But... But... Then my life would be completely redundant! Whose lustpiece would I be?!
  19. Chuck, I love that you're starting different types of TRs... Nothing wrong with the regular photo reports, but it's cool to have something different. I too loved Coney Beach, you simply have to have appreciation for the fact that it's even stayed open as long as it has. My complete love of anything Lego-related I guess should also be a guilty pleasure!
  20. Grrr.... The trip ended three weeks ago. We were at NAMEDELETED Park on the 18th of June. That WILL be the next update Robb posts, when he has the time and energy to do it. Patience is a virtue.
  21. JAHAN!! It's really kinda sad to hear so many bad reports about a park you haven't visited, kinda puts you off a little bit to be honest. Sounds like SF have some work to do if they're gonna sort the place out. I wonder do the GP have the same opinion of the park?
  22. Happy birthday Julie!! Hope you're having a great day. Any celebration plans?
  23. Yeah seriously, just how much caffeine did you guys actually consume?!?! Looks like fun! I love how Jow always sees the relevant part of the picture...
  24. After some of the comments he's been getting from other sources recently... Maybe!
