^ About last may, they had filled in some of the channel where the observation deck used to be just before the waterfalls. There was a truck parked in the middle. No demo work had started, but the signs led one to believe they were preparing. All I know.

^ I know it's pretty tough, and believe me, I had a hard time digesting the whole thing over the past few years. Honestly, the magic and feel of the old park is still there in places, which is comforting. Several of us dearly miss Opryland USA, and we count our lucky stars for what quality of time we did have there. (offers a pat on the should and a reassuring "I understand" look) It's almost time for my annual pilgrimage and update. Been meaning to integrate my TRs with Shane's GREAT thread somehow, so that the info is all in one place.

I don't know what's funnier, the non-update or posts after it. Either way, quality entertainment.

Where I come from, weasel is an insult, pure and simple. Understand what coocalicoaster meant, but it's a still bad choice of words, especially towards Robb and what all he and his family do here. Noone's PO'ed, or upset, but I think some of us are saying casually and helpfully "be careful what you say and how you say it". That's all. Is the jury still out on a pretzel stand next to the Manta? I'd like that...

Sounds like fun to me...and I might just be a ho and count it for the hell of it. One of these years I'll get on a cruise, if nothing else, for the buffet.

Looks like a great weekend in Orlando with everyone. Have to agree with Matt, those "half a charactor" mugs with legs aren't something I'd drink out of, however the different funky themed mickey dolls were cool. Neat TR! The Lambos were gorgeous, and have to agree the EVO is a mess. Think they were trying for an agressive, body kit look, but it's disproportionate and unbalanced. Ah, stuff like this makes me miss the Tuner scene. Good work!

Did get some good design and decorating ideas to spruce up my place though. Learned something and not a total heartache going back home. Well, we all have dreams, so whatever drives you. Have a feeling you'd like the driver to be cute and single, maybe even looking for a coaster dork to sweep her off her feet? Don't blame you. That's what I'd want. I do have a good time at these random TRs and glad you all enjoy them too. Good way to learn about your brother and sister TPR members likes, other than what we all agree on...parks and coasters. No kidding, depending on schedules and locations, it'd be great to make a day trip somewhere and do an RV or Boat Show aside from (or in addition to) the usual parks stuff. Well, most of what I know is from 1991-94, so it's a bit dated. I think my tie and cumberbun matched one of the times I went, but can't be sure. Did the simple and traditional black rental tux. Can tell you that the dress was a VERY big deal. The hair was too, since half the girls at school were out the day of. Every guy in the pic below had wardrobe malfunctions. Jason (bottom center) had some awful striped shirt from the rental place (it was the only one they had at the time). Guy on the left (can't remember his name, Cory?) had cuff links that dug into his wrists, scratching them up raw. The guy on the right is me, and my boutonniere fell off when I sat down to dinner and got stuck in my cumberbun. Halfway through dinner, I leaned back and got stabbed in the spine by the pin. First prom comedy. You gotta love it. Hope the pic and memories help or give you a good laugh, one. Good Luck.

Interesting zoo visit and some comical captions. Enjoyed it and have sudden craving for Pringles. How strange... If you're hunting more comedy gold, crawling around in the suspended hamster tubes at Chuck E Cheese's with the youngling is a must. Nothing like face planting after a slip between sections while the smell of Comet hangs in the air.

Agreed. I could see doing that later on in life, hopefully with a nice lady who enjoys traveling and theme parks too. Think you still can park overnight at Walmart and some shopping malls. Have seen RV's both places here in town up to even a few weeks ago. Unsure on the rest of the country. Those and A-Liners are basically a hard tent. Depends on what you like. There are full on enthusiast groups that meet up and show off their custom travel trailers. Many thanks! Sounds like a great way to hit the parks and do some traveling.
