  1. It's pretty much a given now that it will be called Mustang. Scroll up to the teaser sign pics and look for the "Ride Sally, Ride" one. http://www.coasterwarriors.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=253&p=2391#p2391
  2. Might as well start looking to see if Mustang will be the name.
  3. ^You might want to get your facts straight. Goliath is 30 feet taller than Apollo's Chariot.
  4. If you rode in every single row on Griffon, then I understand your views and respect your opinion. But, the last row gives the best ride. You get TONS of air on the first and second drops. How could you not like the drop out of the block on AC? It's the best part. I'm at a loss for words. How could you not like it? I admit, I was there on Thursday, and both trims were on, with the first being on a little hard, but my butt was still never in the seat when going over the hills. You gotta do it in the back every time, or you probably won't like it.
  5. I believe that the contract between B&M and AB expired this year.
  6. Like someone else has said, I would say Ninja at SFMM. Suspended cosaters are nice for first timers and do give a great ride (if you're on the right one).
  7. I wish they kept that blue water and the landscaping actually looks a lot better on RR than it is today. Great photos!
  8. The stupidity of some people these days... I feel sorry for the family though. Losing a child under any circumstance is unimaginable.
  9. ^^I wouldn't trust that article, mainly because it said there was a DM in Canada.
  10. ^Yeah, those start in mid-July and she's already been and has posted a photo TR.
  11. Restorante della Piazza is the best place to eat in the park and I highly reccomend it. When ever I eat at the park, I'm usually there, and that's like 20 times a year. BTW, great PTR!
  12. That's what you get for all that drinking you did last night.
  13. ^From what I've heard, the block is on very minimal.
  14. This really has scared the shit out of me. Yes, theme parks are considered noncore assets to a brewery, but they make up about 7% of AB's total revenue and had higher attendance than Cedar Fair last year and the year before. I honestly didn't see anything wrong with the way AB was running until InBev came into the picture and all of a sudden are hearing about a "restructuring plan." If it aint broke don't fix it.
  15. It's kind of like a coupon booklet with one time front of the line passes for the major rides, and costs $25 (for BGE at least).
  16. My band: R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center Album: end of the gun Album Cover:
  17. I've been stuck once, and that was on BBW last year. We were stopped for about 30 minutes on the first lift. I asked what happened when we got back, and the ride op said someone accidently hit E-stop.
  18. ^That's the one part that does scare me, though.
  19. "Anheuser to reject InBev offer" http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080625/bs_nm/anheuserbusch_dc
  20. Speaking of those maintenance handle thingamagigs, I've rarely seen a B&M with them, except for Behemoth and Goliath at LaRonde. The first time I saw them was on Giovanola's Goliath and Titan. I wonder why they decided to add them. Maybe they add them if the track happens to go over water or something. That's my only guess.
  21. Brakes placed throughout the ride like that are called trims. The brake segment before the helix is either called a block brake or a mid-course brake run (MCBR).
  22. Sounds reasonable to me... I've heard some interesting stuff from the General Pubes (as I like to call them) as well. Once while at Busch Gardens, a woman in a large group shouted out "Hey yall, I wunna rad duh Apolliet Chariet" On another occasion, a friend and I were in line for Griffon. A 14-year-old kid behind us thought he was hot stuff for knowing when the train would release, and decided to give those waiting in line a 5 second count-down. As the train released, he let out a resounding "DUSSSHHHH" noise. I turned to my friend and said "Why yes....douche!" You should tell the story of AC becoming 210ft tall.
  23. Go for SFA, just so you can get to BGE. It's a great park and you can never go wrong with choosing BGE.
  24. I would say hit BGE on Sunday, as the lines (in general) are usually somewhat shorter than Saturday. I havn't been to KD in a few years so I don't know what to tell ya there.
