  1. Actually, there are quite a few B&M inverts that have hard snaps into the block brakes or final brakes. Look at Raptor's turn into the final brake, I've heard that it's worst than Alpie's.
  2. I wouldn't necessarily say that Alpengeist is rough, although the back can be sometimes. With it's massive size for an invert, it's very forceful, but with a case of the B&M rattle.
  3. That's just an example of good engineering. When you see the track shaking like that, it's exerting all the kinetic energy that's applied through thousands of pounds of force from the passing trains. It's releasing the kinetic energy that's absorbed while regaining potential energy. The track is designed to be flexible to release energy like that.
  4. I'm thinking the red track might be for a hyper...
  5. Great pics! Diamondback is looking great. Can't wait to get out there this summer. Oh, I liked the Mr. Redhood pics. Funny stuff.
  6. ^Same is true for Label Stable at BGW, the amount of stuff on sale has decreased. There was a much greater variety of actual AB-branded merchandise in there last year, now it's strictly Bud and Bud Light, and once all of it's gone, it's gone. I also heard that the red AB benches and AB logos around the Clydesdales are to be removed over the course of the season.
  7. I would assume that the majority of TPR users disagree with that second statement. Anyway, I heard the classic "the back is faster" while in line for Nessie this past Wednesday. I responded with the "then why doesn't it get back to the station first," Their response was "That is a good question."
  8. An update has been posted at Johnny Upsidedown. http://www.johnnyupsidedown.com/manta0.html
  9. Are cop detectors illegal in VA? I just got & it works! Um, yeah. We're like the only state that outlaws them.
  10. Trims are usually added for preventative maintenance measures or to lower the G-forces being exerted on riders.
  11. I believe the rattling you hear is just the upstops shaking up and down beneath the train as it moves over the hills.
  12. A few pictures of construction were posted on the parks media website.
  13. I didn't register until hours after the game had ended and received the winning email today. Strange how the lucky 100,00 were chosen.
  14. Actually, no they didn't. Plans have to be submitted to local planning commissions for approval, by way of local ordinances. Anything that is submitted becomes public record.
  15. I'm starting to think that this will indeed be a prototype. For a customer, X-Works to me just screams protoptype. Like previously stated, X-Works could be for a new design codenamed Project X or something.
  16. ^^^Maybe "M" stands for motor, like drive tires of something... ^^Look at the description on the label, it says "DM." They don't give a "track element" or "lift element" description on that SheiKra track. Notice that the part number, C57L1 is also at the end of the description. Put it this way, the track labels are on their way to being cracked.
