  1. What a great video, it's made me sad it has to close and i've never been to the park. Has all of the rides been saved and moved to different 6 Flags parks. Hope "Texas Cyclone" and "Greezed Lightnin'. A Schwarzkopf shuttle loop" have been saved as they are the most important ones. Whats "Ultra Twister" like to ride...?
  2. What was this coaster like to ride, anyone got any good pic's of it running.
  3. Nearly blacked out on my 1st ride of Oblivion (Alton Towers UK), I don't go on it anymore. It's not that good ride, I prefer "Air" or "Nemesis", both are B&M with different track sizes.
  4. B&M coasters have the smoothest ride.
  5. Thanks for posting those pictures, Will you be posting anymore. Its sad to see a coaster just left to rot and die slowly Did this coaster have good "Airtime" and what type of trains did it have, was it N.A.D ones..? Anyone got a POV of it running..? Hope Gravity Group or S&S Power could copy this coaster for all the people who did not ride it.
  6. Depends on the Coaster height, speed hills etc and what type it is: Wood: normally is at the Back 1st time then Front for re-rides. Steel: Middle 1st time then front and back for re-rides.
  7. Ops, Thanks for telling me as I did not see it.
  8. There is a concept animation here. http://www.hersheypa.com/video/2006.html Looks like it's themed around the peanut butter cups.
  9. My Email: Subject: Screechin' Eagle Coaster at LeSourdsville Lake Amusement Par Dear Knoebels, If your flying turns falls through can you consider saving this coaster, as this is what the fans say: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19761 Many Thanks James p.s. Someday I will visit your park (as i’m from the UK) and take a ride on “Phoenix”. Thank you for saving a great coaster Their Reply: Bobby Klock [info@knoebels.com] Thank you for your interest in Knoebels! Thank you for your support. But we are moving quite steadily on our Flying Turns, so our resources are committed. Knoebels
  10. Hi Robb, Thanks for the update photo's, the 3rd pic looks amazing wow, love to ride that coaster at night. I'll have to start saving my UK pounds and take a trip to Holiday World sometime.
  11. Thanks "Musical Pete" for the info, it was intresting to hear how the wheels are arranged under the car. I wonder how much pressure or weight they can take before they snap..! as the cars wizz round the track at insane speeds. Do you know how many cars BPB has for its "mouse". Do you like the "Gerstlauer bobsled coasters" I can't wait for the one at Paulton's Park to open..? I would build a 5,000+ft "Wild Mouse/Gerstlauer bobsled coasters" with 6 camelhumps(some in tunnels) in a row if I had the money
  12. I've just returned from 4 days at Blackpool and I rode the "Wild Mouse" 6 times, 3 in a row, it's one of my fav rides. I wish it was higher and longer though. The night rides seem to be faster as the wheels/track etc has warmed up and the cars slam into the 90 degree corners and you come out of your seat on the 4 drops. It was quite rough when I rode it last 5 years ago, thankfully BPB staff have made the ride much smoother. I was told some of the wheels on my mouse car were off the track when going round the tight corners.. Shame its 4 hours drive away from my house. Well worth the drive.
  13. Any Shot N Drop Towers and that "Star Flyer" in Germany.. to high for me with just 4 thin chains holding you above the ground over 200ft. yikes..
  14. Is it true this coaster is not working since 2003, is this cos of the accident it had with the wheels..?
  15. Check this new ride out: http://www.air-diver.com
  16. Coasters which rip/pull the train over the top of the lift hill.
  17. What are the most "Trimmed/Braked" Steel and wooden coasters, and why do they need to be slowed down so much.
  18. "ncf" Your so lucky to live a short distance from a great looking and riding coaster.
  19. Those fan banked curves and drops look fantastic, every coaster GCI builds is amazing to look at. This layout could be taken from the 50's and 60's coasters which Harry Traver built.. I've never been on a Twister layout, looks very fun to ride at the back of front seats, esp in the dark. Hope its "Airtime Heaven" and never get "trimmed" with brakes. Come on GCI build a woodie like this in the UK..

  22. I'll use a hammer on the post box, making sure I don't break the DVD's
  23. My one of my fav coasters is "G-Force" at Drayton Manor, love the hangtime on the loop lift-hill. The ride is far 2 short and needs to be longer, why not have a double "bent cuban 8" back-to-back and a few more camelback hills.
  24. Trim brakes are the worst nightmare for coaster fans who love "airtime". It's a shame they added them onto the California Screamin as i've heard it was a great ride. I guess this is the after effect of the accident. I hope trim brakes are not put on "Balder" or "Hades" or any top 10 coaster.
