Montezuma's Revenge
verticalzero replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cool name for a coaster: You can buy these "Montezuma's Revenge Chocolate Bars". The park should sell em at the exit of the ride Link below: http://www.alotofchocolate.co.uk/products/chocolate-info.php?_ProductId=23&PHPSESSID=b32605a24f02038ffb9b15ede14cfb5e -
Do you eat before going on Roller Coasters, or wait till you have ridden the whole park and then eat some food..?
-
I have not been on this ride, what is it like to ride "brakes-less" Is the Batwing a good inversion..? how intense is it..? What other coasters use the "Batwing" along their track...?
-
I have not ridden this amazing coaster yet and I wondered how much "airtime" you get on the hills..? Is it the type of "airtime" where your body goes up and the train gets pulled down and you slam into the lapbars or do you "float" over the hills.? When I went on MF at Cedar Point going over the top of the 2nd hill I went dizzy and i could not see properly for a couple of seconds. I have been on Goliath at Walibi World and Collosos at Heide Park, Is the "Airtime" like these rides or is it more "extreme"..?

The UK will be next to get it, your safe at the moment USA. -
Just wait till you come to the UK and go on the M25 Motorway. It's a right nightmare most days.

American Adventure Park UK Complaint
verticalzero replied to CherylStarUK's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
AA needs to have a re-fit with coasters asap, I have been there many years ago and not impressed with any of the rides. They need a "Goliath" (Walibi World) type of coaster and a Woodie, The Owners of Alton Towers and Thorpe Park should buy it and have a strip out and install new coasters. Your better off going to Drayton Manor Park instead of AA -
Favorite Coaster Color Scheme
verticalzero replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"Mantis" has got a good colour scheme esp at night with the lights on. It looks like the ride is evil and the track is floating. -
Noise Orders on UK parks
verticalzero replied to lustate's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I knew someone would complain about the noise level's at at UK park, If you do not like noise why live next to a Theme Park, I blame the "Roper family" as they knew as soon as they bought their house the park will have some noise level. They want some attention.. Maybe Alton towers should offer them a "Season Ticket". I do think this may create some more local's to file noise complaints against parks. Thorpe Park are lucky to have their park in the middle of an old "Chalk Pit". They prob don't get many noise complaints -
Germany, July and the World Cup
verticalzero replied to dubaidave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't like "football" much, most of the matches look like they are "fixed". i would rather spend 2-3 weeks visiting every German Park to ride the coasters. -
Alton Towers Discussion Thread

X: No Way Out should be scrapped and have a "dark" Spinning Mouse installed instead. Let's hope "X" will be removed within the next 2 seasons as it has become unpopular with the public. -
What are your views on this type of coaster: Should anymore be built and if "yes" should they should be longer with more inversions (e.g. Stormrunner) etc, rather than have a inverted top hat and small camelhill with brakes on the other side.

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
verticalzero replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Will the Park have an all-night riding weekend on the 1st weekend the coaster opens..? What's your views on the "Triple Down" section ..? Anyone living near this park is very lucky indeed to have such a fine coaster near them, i'm over 3,000 miles away. I will have to make the plane trip from the UK just to go on this ride. Will it beat "The Beast", "The Raven" for nightime rides..? -
Intamin Halfpipe
verticalzero replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why build a rollercoaster operating withing 50 feet of your apartment windows..? The park should look for other space to put the Halfpipe. No wonder it's SBNO. You could photo the scared riders when it passes your windows. -
Where is the nearest "Intamin Halfpipe" to the UK..?

If you could BUY one Coaster...
verticalzero replied to l3ite_me1313's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would buy a Bobsled Coaster, make it 5,000ft long 120ft high and have 8 mini camel hills in a row, lots of tunnels and going under and above itself. It would be "Airtime Heaven" -------------------------------------------------------------- It would have to be both "Hades" and "Millennium Force". They are both amazing coasters to ride and photograph. -
Alton Towers Discussion Thread
verticalzero replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The "Black Hole was one of my fav rides at Alton Towers along with "Thunderlooper". I wish AT kept it running and added more lights and effects, e.g. while going round the lift hill "lasers can bounce off mirrors" and have a big smoke machine at the top of the tent facing downwards. X: No Way Out at Thorpe Park is another dark ride which suffers badly, give it more lights and lasers etc to make the ride more enjoyable. Alton Towers should build a coaster like below and put it in the "Old Black Hole" tent. Bobsled Coaster: "Die heiße Fahrt!" - Wild- & Freizeitpark Klotten, Germany -
I loved Cedar Point, it is one of the best parks I have been to. I have to go back someday
-
Nemesis is one amazing ride and we have to thank Alton Towers and John Wadley for bringing it to life for the public to ride. I can only do a couple of rides back to back as it is so intense esp on the back row, you get whiped through the inversions so quickly. Anyone tried it when it's been snowing to see if it can go faster than it's top speed of 50mph..?
