Coaster Layout's on T-Shirts
verticalzero posted a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why don't Parks sell T-Shirts with their coasters layout on, they could have 3d model's or 2d versions. -
The only SLC I have been on is at Walibi World called "El Condor", it is the original one. I guess most people don't like em is when you do an inversion you head tends to travel from left to right and visa versa. They are sometimes called "Hang n Bang". I did not mind the coaster and it did have good g-forces on some of the pullouts after the loops. The heartshape inversion was cool.

All About Powered Coasters
verticalzero replied to Three's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Powered Coasters are good fun, on some parts of the track layout you can hear the motor's squeeling to the Max. A good one was at "Thorpe Park" called the "Flying Fish", this used to be called "Space Station Zero" in the early 90's and was indoors. Sadly they removed the "fish" to create "Stealth" for this season. The "fish" is in storage at this time and hopefully will move to "Chessington World of Adventures" soon. -
Waterparks, anyone?
verticalzero replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Is there a Water slide at any park which has a "loop" or "camelback" during it's course..? Do any Slides have any "Airtime"..? -
Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
verticalzero replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This coaster looks so cool with it's 3 hills and twister style 2nd half + the world's 1st "Triple Down". I'll have to plan a trip to the park someday to ride it and check out the "Airtime" -
Hyper coasters Vs. Wooden
verticalzero replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
BDG - Goliath at Walibi World in Holland is only 150ft high, It beats most of the coaster in the USA/Europe for fun and out-of-your-seat airtime. Height does not matter when building a coaster, it's "keeping its speed up through out it's course". -
Would it be possible to have an Disk-O Coaster Out n Back layout..?

Interesting SLC pics
verticalzero replied to gyjdnb's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The original SLC or Hang n Bang is at Walibi World. It was not 2 rough when i went on it last May., a big jerky through the inversions. -
Why do parks install trim brakes along the course of a coaster's track. Is it.: 1) The coaster had an accident and the park slows the ride down. 2) The Park get's complents the ride is 2 fast and people come out their seat 2 much..? The Coaster designers do know the speed / G-Force etc when they design a coaster for a Park, they must feel sad when brakes are added to their rides. What are your views..?

Magnum and Millennium Force
verticalzero replied to JulieWent's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I liked "Millenium Force" when I rode it in 2000, I thought the 1st drop would of been more scary but it was amazing falling at 80% drop The whole ride is one big rush "Magnum " was great as well, I did not think it was bumpy, loved the turn-around and the 2nd drop towards the lake. "Mean Streak" was a good woodie, but it needs to have some TLC and those dam brakes removed. -

Waterparks, anyone?
verticalzero replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love Waterparks, there are not enough rides which use rubber rings in the UK. The only Waterpark I have been to is in Portugal called "Slide n Splash". There are some Indoor waterparks in the UK, the best one is called "Splashdown" at Tower Park. I use Rollercoaster Tycoon Add-on "Wild" to create Water Slides/tubes. -
Dive Machines? What are your thoughts?
verticalzero replied to downunder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been on Oblivion at Alton Towers and did not like it much. But they do the job of giving you a big rush and getting off the ride happy. -
Final Destination 3
verticalzero replied to KrakenKing's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
brad118 - That's up to you what you think of the film, I thought it was very good. Let's hope the next coaster you go on the "lift hill chain" does not snap and there are no rollbacks installed. Take all films as they are ment to be: A form of "Enjoyment". -
Hyper coasters Vs. Wooden
verticalzero replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I prefer Woodies over Hyper steel coasters, i'm not 2 keen on anything over 250ft high, the speed does not bother me. You can't beat a good woodie twister (Thunderhead) or Out n Back (Collosos). Airtime heaven -
People that don't understand
verticalzero replied to CoasterCrazy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Some of my friends can't understand why i want to punish my body on a coaster. I say its a good form of getting rid of your excess energy and anger. You feel much better after a couple of rides on "The Beast". -
Best Six Flags Park
verticalzero replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only Six Flags Park I have been to is the one in Holland (called Walibi World now). The park was clean, tidy, all the staff were helpfull and you can re-ride if no-one is waiting for your seat. I'll be going back in June for 4 days. I wish the UK parks allowed people to re-ride when it's not busy, they always ask you to leave your seat and walk round the Q lines. -
Final Destination 3
verticalzero replied to KrakenKing's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know the coaster is not a "real one", I just asked which coaster it was based on. Maybe B&M could create an Inverted Coaster like the one on the film Only joking. Did you know the voice of the "Devil" is Tony Todd and he has been in all 3 films, the 1st 2 he was the Undertaker.
